Trusting the positive reviews, I booked the Fairfield Inn for one night - a break in our trip to TN for a wedding this weekend. Keith checked us in, as we surveyed the lobby and breakfast area. Everything looked modern, clean, and nice. We stopped at the mini fridge in the breakfast area to grab 2 complimentary mini bottles of water before taking the elevator to the 4th floor. In our clean room we were impressed with several things: personal welcome message on the flat screen, light diffusion shade with autumn leaves, comfortable looking king size bed, lots of natural light and modern looking lamps, clock radio, enough outlets for our electronics, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee/tea by the mini coffee pot. The flat screen offered several streaming options: HBO, Showtime, Netflix and more. The only one we don't have at home was Showtime, but we weren't able to access it. We watched the local stations instead until we fell asleep. The bed was very comfortable, and we had a good night's sleep. We didn't get to use the indoor pool or gym, but they looked very nice! In the morning, we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Husband had the scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and OJ. I had all 3 cereals, with fresh fruit (banana, grapes, strawberries) and cranberry juice. Coffee and hot tea was available, as well as oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, pancakes, bread (for PB&J or toast), bagels, and pastries. For sanitary purposes, cups were individually wrapped, as were the grapes & strawberries. Gloves were provided & recommended when serving oneself. Check out was quick & easy. The friendly young woman who checked us out told us that the $20 hold on our credit card would be released. We forgot to tell her that our TV remote died - hope batteries are replaced before next person gets our room 424! Also forgot to ask about our Gold Elite welcome gift.

This Fairfield Inn is brand spanking new! I had to take a last minute trip to Metro Atlanta and chose to stay in Marietta this time around. It's located about 35 minutes from the airport not including traffic... I asked for early check-in via the app and they honored my request. The digital key never loaded so I had to stop by the front desk to pick up keys. The assistant manager at the front desk was nice and friendly and mentioned that the hotel had only been opened for a week. He told me where everything was located, the breakfast hours and even asked if I need help with my bags! Southern hospitality is unmatched! The front desk area is nice and cozy. There's plenty of seating, a flat screen tv & a fruit infused water station. Of course everything was clean because the hotel was only 7 days old, however the rooms fell short. I felt like everything in the room was from the clearance rack of ikea. Seems like maybe they rushed to put this hotel together?! The bed was uncomfortable and the bathtub didn't even have a soap dish. The bath mat in the bathtub was way too big so watch out for that. The washcloths were extremely rough and the towels were thin. I noticed some of the wallpaper was falling off and there was lots of spacing around the doors. The breakfast was great! Who has better free breakfast than Fairfield Inns? Nobody! There was so much to choose from! From hot crispy bacon and waffles, to cereal & milk. There's something for everyone to enjoy so be sure to take advantage of that. There's an indoor pool and gym but I didn't have time to use either of them. The parking is free and there's plenty of it. There's lots of food options within walking distance of the hotel. There's also a gas station with a 24 hour store right on the corner. The neighborhood seemed quiet but I honestly was only there to sleep & shower so I'm not really sure. It is next to a motel that's sort of run down so you know what that can sometimes bring... They lock the front doors at night so you will need to use your room key to get it. Overall my stay was decent. I do think it's a little overpriced per night for what they have to offer. Hotel location- 3.5 stars Rooms- 3 stars Breakfast- 4 stars Staff- 5 stars

Very nice location. My room was clean, hotel is clean and they have a breakfast in the mornings. Hotel location is kind of tricky to get to but it is located in a very quiet area. You have to drive down a side street next to the racetrack to get to the property. My GPS said I arrived when I was at the racetrack. Staff is very friendly and it has been unusual to find good service in todays Covid world. Thanks for making my stay pleasant. I highly recommend and will stay here again if I need to.

Rings, but no shower curtain provided

This was one of the worst stays I have ever had at a hotel. I chose this over many other hotels in the area because of the reviews I had read, but I was severely disappointed. We checked in for one night, dropped our bags in the room, and immediately left to go to get some food. When we came back I noticed that none of the trash can liners were actually in the cans, just laid over the side. It seemed very lazy to me, but I figured "not a big deal". I went into the bathroom and shut the door. When I tried to come out, the door wouldn't open. I noticed the handle wasn't fully tightened to the door, so it wasn't opening. I kept pulling and pulling thinking I was going to have to call the office. Finally it opened. So I figured I just wouldn't shut the door all the way anymore. A pretty big inconvenience when there are two people staying in a room. But I ended up going out with some friends and coming back to the room very late. I went to bed. We woke up early (530am) to get ready to leave because we had an early appointment to get to. That's when I noticed that there was no shower curtain in our bathroom! I was stunned. The shower rings were there, but no curtain. So I called the front desk around 6am to ask for a shower curtain. I explained to him that we have an appointment and needed to be able to take showers to leave. The man at the front desk said "Well house keeping isn't here right now. I'll see if I can find one for you. If I can I'll bring it up." He acted like it was no big deal that we couldn't take a shower, like this happens every day there. We waited 2.5 HOURS and never got a shower curtain! We had to take showers up against the wall so we didn't get water all over the floor. We also had to call and move our appointment because we were waiting for someone to come to our room to bring the curtain. On top of all that, when we unrolled the towels there were long hairs rolled inside which makes me think they didn't change the towels before we stayed. When we left I let the lady at the front desk know what happened. She wrote it down in the notebook at the front desk and said "Well he (the man who answered our call for the shower curtain) didn't tell me anything about a shower curtain. You should've called back down here again. Sorry." No I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I stayed in a hotel that I would even have to call the front desk ONE time for a shower curtain of all things. I'm sorry that I expected to have basic necessities provided for TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS a night. I feel like I would have gotten better service at a low end motel than I did at the Marriott. I can promise you this, I will not be choosing to stay at Marriotts again for a very long time since this is how you value your guests.

The first thing I want to draw attention to for this particular Drury is their incredible staff. My husband and parents were taking a trip west of Atlanta. The accommodations we had reserved were not at all as advertised...or safe. Immediately, my husband called Drury in Marietta (about 45 minutes away) to see if they had any availability. Unfortunately, they were booked that night but told us to call them at 10am the next morning and they would help us. Not only did they help us with rooms, they gave us the first two that were available which allowed us to check in early and get some much needed rest! Throughout our stay, we were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff members. From the front desk to the cleaning team to the kitchen staff, everyone was welcoming. One of the perks of Drury is an included breakfast and "kick back" dinner. We were grateful to have a hot breakfast each morning of our stay. The nights we were at the hotel in time for dinner, we enjoyed fun food like hot dogs and nachos as well as the hot food like mashed potatoes, veggies and meatballs. The rooms were spacious and clean. Every area of the hotel was extremely clean! We enjoyed using the indoor/outdoor pool as well as the hot tub. We didn't need the laundry facilities, but it is great that they have machines available for a price for guests. Thank you, Drury for taking such good care of our family! We'll see you next time!

They offered not only a decent breakfast, but they also offered dinner and three free drinks each night. The beds and pillows were not the most comfortable, but there were plenty of pillows. The price was great and you couldn't beat it for $250 for 3 nights. For cleanliness, all of the common areas were clean and well cared for. We had two rooms, and we did see a quite a bit of lady bugs in the rooms.

The whole hotel's theme made me feel like I was in a scene of Bridgeton or some Gone with the Wind drama. The bed was super comfy the moment I even sat on the bed I just wanted to knock out. I was there for an event for which the hotel catered and the food was absolutely delicious. If I'm ever in that area again I would explore this hotel just a little bit better. I missed a whole Courtyard with a life-size chess board!

Also, my wife stayed here when she was interviewing for her new job in Marietta. This is the hotel that her company has interviewees stay at. I've been on-site, outside of this hotel, many times over the years to play golf at the attached public municipal golf course, City Club Marietta: https://www.yelp.com/biz/city-club-marietta-marietta A few interesting facts from plaques inside the hotel: 1. City Club Marietta used to be Marietta Country Club (private). Marietta Country Club moved to Kennesaw in 1990. Marietta Country Club was chartered in January 1916. The golf course was expanded to 18 holes in 1966. The old golf clubhouse was demolished and the Marietta Conference Center built in 1995, in time for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. 2. The Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel & Conference Center sits on the former site of the Georgia Military Institute, established July 1, 1851. The Georgia Military Institute buildings were burned/destroyed by General Sherman and the Union Army between November 4 to 12, 1864. A cannon is on display inside the hotel. It's a six-pound bronze howitzer, made in 1852. 3. The hotel and conference center are owned by the City of Marietta and operated under a lease by Remington Hotels (still true at the time of writing this). For the wedding, I got ready and hung out inside the groom's / groom's parents' suite, which had an elevated view of the golf course. The hotel is six stories tall. The suite was nice and spacious. For the holiday party that my wife and I attended, the party took place in one of the ballrooms. I estimate attendance was about 100 people. The event was a lot like a wedding reception with a cocktail hour, two open bars, a buffet dinner, round tables with floral centerpieces, a photo booth, DJ, and dancing. We had a great time. The food and drink were good. I ate a lot -- salad, chicken, rice, steak, salmon, mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, green beans, a dinner roll with butter, potato chowder, a cheesecake brownie, and more. I think the only item I didn't try was the bread pudding because it looked dry. From the bar, I had an old fashioned and a gin and tonic. The older gentleman bartender was kind and polite. There was also coffee. My wife said her stay here was comfortable. No complaints.

BED BUGS in Room #301, Construction, and Zero Concern - AVOID THIS HOTEL…read more I don't normally leave reviews, but my experience at the Hyatt Regency Northwest Atlanta was so awful, I feel obligated to warn future travelers: **Do not stay here.** Upon checking into Room #301, I quickly discovered BED BUGS, not just on one bed, but BOTH beds. These were tiny/hard to see, they were pepper-sized pests crawling around the sheets, and I even captured, video of them moving across the fabric. It was absolutely disgusting. To make matters worse, the room itself had an old, filthy carpet that clearly hasn't been deep-cleaned in years. This wasn't an isolated incident the entire space gave off the feeling of long-term neglect hidden under a weak attempt at refurbishment. When I informed the front desk, I was met with a disturbing lack of concern. They casually offered to move me to another room as if a full-blown bed bug infestation was just a minor inconvenience. I immediately declined, checked out, and drove home to wash all my clothes and sanitize everything I brought with me, out of fear of bringing bed bugs into my home. On top of that, the hotel is currently under construction, which is not clearly disclosed at booking. The noise, dust, and smell of cheap paint were everywhere. This property is clearly an old, worn-out building with some fresh paint slapped on the walls in an effort to disguise decades of neglect and poor maintenance. Let me be clear: this hotel should not be open to the public in its current condition. If the Hyatt name means anything to you, you'll be as shocked as I was by what you find here. Avoid Room #301 (bed bug infestation) This stay was a complete disaster. If you value your health, comfort, and sanity, stay far away from this place. I have video proof of the bugs and will share it wherever necessary. This hotel needs a total shutdown, fumigation, and a fresh start.
