I'll start with the bad. We booked 2 rooms that were combined door. Both 2 queens with balcony. 1 of the beds was horrible. It was not comfortable and felt broken down. The other bed and other room beds were fine. Breakfast, while the dining area is very nice, the breakfast was not. Typically best western would rotate breakfast daily or at least every 2 days. Not this location. Not to mention the food was nasty. No amount if salt and pepper could help. They didn't keep fruit stocked. I saw staff fussing at a guest because they went under the cabinet to grab fruit because it wasn't stocked. The milk taste watered down, no bacon and the sausage wasn't good. Now moving past the 1 bed and horrible breakfast, we enjoyed everything else. Parking lot is very big and they have a lot of rooms. 1 section has an outdoor pool and in another section, it has an outdoor and indoor pool. Elevators worked but it was slow. Housekeeping and front staff were really nice. Our rooms were clean. For the value and quality, if return. I just hope they improve their breakfast.

To the one who answered my review . The only reason you were able to talk to the attendant before I…read morehad a chance to speak (with you) or the general manager again was because the night before I came in to talk to you there were two ladies attendants atthe front desk and I came and asked them when the hottub was gonna be fixed. They told me should be Tuesday. They were very professional and polite. I also said to them that it wasn't right that I had to pay more so my family and I could use inside pool and hottub and there are people coming from everywhere using them. That is when she politely that it doesn't cost extra to use them anyone can. And I asked her then why was I told the night we checked in that in order to use those two amenities I had to pay extra. You guys can even call my booking company and ask them I'm sure they have a recording of our conversation from that night. Anyways when I told the women attendants about what happened when I checked in they told me that it was the wrong information and I needed to talk to the GM in the morning (Monday). They must have said something to the attendant that checked us in thst night because he talked you or whomever before I had a chance to. I have no reason to lie. I've never asked for any of my funds back or anything else just the truth on why. I was also told that in the state of Tennessee the hottubs can't actually be hot which of course thats not true because one of your other properties the hot tub is nice and hot. Then I was told by some oh one is just a worlpool not actually a hottub (the inside one) I was told by someone else (another worker) that the outside one is the worlpool and the inside one is the hottub, then I was told neither one of them are actually hottubs there wirlpools. Even though the description on the website says three pools two hottubs. I'm not complaining at all about the room we have now and I would have paid the extra when I booked if I have known. I was just told when I checked in that we were not able to use the inside pool and hottub because we only had the standard 2 bed room. And to use those I had to upgrade. Which obviously was not true. My family and I willnot be staying here again which is sad because it's a beautiful property and not bad priced at all. It's just the lies and believing the attendant and not the guest.

As we were walking through the halls we were greeted friendly by stay so this hotel definitely has hospitality down from our experience. The rooms were large and clean and beds were super comfy. There's no confusing light switches they some hotels tend to have. I didn't ever find a safe in the room but you have drawers to store clothes in the living room and an armoire to hang things if you so choose. The hotel breakfast was great they had oatmeal, 3 cereal choices including fruit Loops, okios yogurt, muffins, eggs, biscuits, sausage, pancakes and more. Overall a solid breakfast station and it was clean. We enjoyed our stay very well and the view from this location gives a nice view overlooking the gatlinburg mountains.

Very speedy and quick process. Hotel was very clean and free of clutter. Very quiet and even more secluded once we asked to be away from elevators. Room is awesome. I had a balcony view and it was amazing. I got to see the mountains from all different rays. Got to witness a beautiful breathtaking sunset as well. Rooms were very clean and they supply you with Dove products. Yay. All rooms come with refrigerator, and microwave and we were very excited with two televisions. In the morning you get a full breakfast and we stayed and got to experience a different selection each morning. The cinnamon rolls OMG . Great!!! Coffee was delicious and I got to try some different flavors of yogurts. The only con was painters taking up all parking spots when parking was already limited. Not to say you couldn't park in the back . But parking in the front was very convenient. Overall I'm very glad I chose this franchise to join .

The trolley stops right next to the lodge, which saves on the high parking fees downtown. The location offers quick access to roads leading into the national park or straight into Pigeon Forge. The lodge itself is really beautiful and well built. The solid construction means very quiet rooms. The employees are courteous and helpful, and the place is clean and tidy. My only complaint.....the morning coffee is absolutely the worst tasting coffee I have ever had. It doesn't even taste like coffee. I only have morning coffee, but that one or two cups is important for me. They have Keurig coffee machines in the rooms, but I don't like that plastic, chemical tasting coffee either. They really should change coffee brands and learn how to brew a good pot of coffee! I recommend this lodge for your stay in Gatlinburg.

There was also a fire pit outside which seemed to be crowded whenever we wanted to go sit by the fire. If spotting wildlife is on your Smoky Mountain bucket list, this hotel may save you a trip into the national park. And if that bear gets a little too curious, you're already safely inside. The location is one of the best in Gatlinburg. It's right in the heart of town, yet tucked away on River Road, just far enough from the Parkway to avoid much of the noise and chaos. You can walk to everything and still feel like you've escaped the crowds. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. But what keeps bringing us back is the staff. Hospitality is one of those things that's easy to advertise and harder to deliver. These folks deliver it. Everyone we've encountered has been friendly, welcoming, and genuinely interested in making guests feel at home. We've stayed here three years in a row. And we're already planning year four. Pros: * Location - short walking distance to some of the best restaurants ever. * Parking lot is fine - easy to get in/out * Really nice hotel staff * Easy self-checkout for drink/snack purchases in the lobby. You can pay via card or charge to your room. * Very clean lobby restroom Cons * NEW - they now charge a $45 self-parking fee per stay. We found this out when we got our receipt upon checking out * Bathtub/shower drain was so slow, you stood in 3-4 inches of water every shower * Shower curtain was too short so you had to direct the shower head towards the shower wall and away from the middle, otherwise you'd soak the floor * Weird moldy looking stain on comforter * Motion sensor on thermostat, so at night it would become unbearably hot while we slept. Only when we got up did the AC kick back on. They also have a breakfast but I can't understand why anyone would eat hotel breakfast when some of the best breakfast restaurants are within a short walking distance. So no comment on that, because we didn't even bother. I don't know, it just seemed like adding insult to injury when we saw the $45 self-parking fee after the room issues we had. We'll probably look elsewhere for our next Gatlinburg stay.
