I went to work 15min after the service and 3 min in to my drive, I started smelling a burnt scent and started hearing grinding noise. I was advised that it was normal and sent me a video for the correct way to break in my break pads/rotors. I drove my car only short distances for the next few weeks and informed Uchanics that it is still making noises and the burning scent is still present. It turns out my calipers where seized. Due to the service tech rushing, he did not get to check the calipers. I got the rotors, break pads, calipers fixed at a different shop. This terrible experience happened in April. They've stopped responding to my emails and it is now September. I am still currently waiting for my reimbursement from Uchanics.

I also had a flat tire, so I asked them to repair the tire while doing an oil change. They advertised an oil change special for $99, and I even found a $15coupon on their website. However, after the service, my bill somehow came to $190.65. Only when I questioned the total did they suddenly explain that because my vehicle is European, the oil change costs more -- something that was NEVER mentioned before any work began. The worst part was the aggressive pressure to replace all 4 tires because of one flat tire. I repeatedly explained that it was too expensive and that I would come back another day if necessary, but they kept pushing nonstop. After repeatedly saying no, they eventually let me leave with the flat tire still not repaired. What made the experience even more concerning was discovering that my original engine oil filler cap had been replaced with a Castrol-branded cap. They denied changing it and even argued with me about checking security footage. However, I personally check my engine oil regularly and know exactly what was under my hood before the service. The attached photos show the difference:* The first photo shows the original OEM-style oil cap that was on my vehicle before service.* The second photo shows the Castrol-branded replacement cap that appeared afterward. Whether it was changed intentionally or by mistake, nobody informed me or asked for permission before replacing the part. That alone is unacceptable. My mistake was not checking under the hood immediately after the oil change, but I am 100% certain the cap was changed during the visit. Why do some businesses choose to operate this way instead of simply doing honest work and building loyal customers? In my opinion, this location's pricing transparency and customer service are extremely questionable. Maybe regular customers have different experiences, but if you come here for an oil change or tire service, be very careful: * Ask for ALL pricing upfront before approving work. * Watch your bill closely. * Double-check your vehicle before leaving.
