I'm quite disappointed in my recent visit and a call I had with this spa. Some friends and I had…read morecome into town to do some winter activities, a go get pampered and we were less than impressed at the spa we went to. We had called and scheduled to have facials and massages, we could not get massages at the same time so we decided to have facials done as well. When we had gotten there, we were told there was a "mis-understanding" so we were un-able to get in only for a massage. After getting attitude from the owner of the salon, I decided since I didn't get the facial to get into the pod which was the best thing there! After I got out of the pod, I got my "facial" since there was time and it was not at all relaxing. The esthetician was obviously in a hurry, nor did she ask me about my skin, and what I may or may not be more sensitive to. The hand and foot massage I got from her was a joke. She was more concerned with getting us out the door and selling us on her products than her customers. I've had plenty of facials and this was not worth the money. After we had left we were very disappointed. The best service we got was from the front desk receptionist who was pleasant. The other thing I might add was when I had looked at my credit card bill I noticed that I was charged $197.00, when the facial was $95 and pod was $38 + $15 for oxygen so when I called to get clarification on my bill, once again got nothing but VERY poor service, was told that I had an attitude the minute I walked in the door. I'm shocked as a customer I was spoken to like that, when I had every right to be upset that we made an appointment only for it to supposedly "be a mis-understanding on my part". I will not go back to this spa again, there are plenty of other spas in Ruidoso that I could have used and will use in the future.

A friend brought me here a few years ago to check out a neat place where her mom gets her perfume…read more I was interested, but when I got there and realized everything is made with essential oils, I fell in love! I bought two or three different scents at that time, in the small roll-on size, and when they were used up I had to go again! This time I took my husband, who is allergic to a number of ingredients in the big perfumes, and he was able to find his favorite things too! We're hooked, and this store definitely has clients for life in our allergy riddled household. Short version: great scents, wonderful staff, and I love getting my favorite scent in a hypoallergenic version.

Not once did the clerk look up to say hello, or to tell us she would be with us shortly. My daughter was eyeing some rose-scented lotion, so we may be back on our next trip up.

The products they use for their facials are stuff that you can buy in Whole Foods...they use tap water on your face and remove products with washcloths. You literally may as well stay home and do it yourself. For my massage, they have NO CLUE what they are doing. I don't believe the girls have been to massage classes. The girl giving me my massage had long fingernails that dug into my back, she lubed me up with grease like I don't even know what, blew on my back and smelled like an ashtray. Seriously, RUN AWAY. Creepy and gross! UPDATE: Ha, the owner has left this comment. I DID complain at the time and the lady who was charging me called him to tell him I was displeased and would not pay for my full massage since I got up and left before it was over. He offered a very slight discount, less than fifteen bucks or something. I don't know HOW this place is in business. That's something he asks that I can't explain. However, he has contacted me and has other reviewers do the same thing and told me to 'get a life'. Very professional. Yes, please read my other reviews.
