Everyone that I was…read morereferred to had glowing reviews and incredible photos on their websites, but when I read about Trine I had a gut feeling that she was my girl. I'm so glad that I went with my intuition! Trine is a true professional and talent. She talked me through the whole process and really listened to me when I described to her the look that I was going for. Not only is she such a sweetheart, but also so easygoing and great to talk to. She really calmed my nerves the day of my photo shoot! I cannot say enough good things about Trine- she really is something special!

I cannot imagine my wedding without Trine. I got married in the Dordogne in southwest France (40…read morepeople coming in from California for a small destination wedding) and initially had a very negative trial with a local makeup artist who had no idea what I was going for, told me I needed to pluck my eyebrows or else she didn't know what to do with them, and thought our appointment was two hours later than it had been scheduled for. After scrambling and juggling the budget around, I decided to bring someone in from Paris so I could feel confident. Trine was that person and she was worth every penny and then some! She made me look and feel beautiful, and managed to understand my half-downloaded Pinterest board and general ideas right away and helped me decide what direction to take. She then made them look better than I could have ever even dreamed of. I'm so happy with the way the hair and makeup turned out, felt beautiful and confident on the day, and can now look back at pictures and feel the same way every time. I wanted to avoid an updo that looked too "wedding-y" and I felt like her experience on the editorial side of things really helped in that department - I showed her tons of pictures of Jennifer Lawrence on the red carpet and she knew exactly what to do and how to make it work with my hair. It also stayed put all night long through lots of dancing. I had read horror stories on Yelp of other hair and makeup artists in France being unreliable, but Trine was incredibly professional, on time, had reasonable travel fees even though I was bringing her out to the middle of nowhere, and when her flight was cancelled the day of my trial, she was promptly in touch and flexible so that we could schedule an alternate time. She was also very conscientious ahead of time. I sent her pictures of myself and the looks I was going for, and she responded to emails promptly and thoughtfully, even going so far as to notice that I had ombre highlights and think about how they would translate to an updo, so she was super prepared before we even got to the trial. On top of everything, she was a positive, calming, encouraging and sweet presence during the whole day - even/especially when we had a power outage crisis and it was much needed. She even used her phone to play music for us when none of us had service or wifi and kept everyone in good spirits. Everyone in the room getting ready commented on how amazing she was. She is an incredibly sweet and lovely person who also happens to be very good at her job (and as other reviewers have noted, speaks perfect English - important for communicating what you want to look like!). I cannot thank her enough and would sing her praises to any future brides.

I was whisked into a chair by Giorgio himself and was treated Tina excellent trim. As I was about to leave Giorgio noticed my unruly eyebrows and wouldn't allow me to leave until taming them as well. There's no shortage of hair salons in my area but I was afraid of ending up in a salon with a…read morecustomer base of 70 yo Parisians. So I decided to go to this chain salon near my house. Their marketing is geared toward young, hip things and though I'm neither I thought I'd give them a try for my root touch up. I was really overdue. My brand of choice was Schwarzkopf and they happened to use it which I was super excited about. Stan was my stylist and he was very friendly and spoke English (yes!) and my hair turned out great. The place definitely had a hip vibe and the techno music was only a little distracting. The shampoo chairs were amazing. I took a 20 minute nap while my hair was setting and it actually had a massage feature--it was so nice and comfy. I'll definitely be back.
