The engine was running, but the truck wouldn't move. We pulled over to the shoulder of a very busy highway and started calling tow companies--most quoted a four-hour wait due to the holiday weekend. Then we reached A2Z Towing. What a difference! Despite being busy, they quoted just a one-hour wait--and showed up even sooner. Not only were we driving an extremely large truck, but we were also towing a trailer loaded with a Polaris, which meant we needed an exceptionally large tow rig to handle the job. Husband was so upset he checked Google for another tire repair place and found Southern Tire Mart. Talk about a complete about face. Carla the receptionist was kind and friendly. The service guys got to work on our flat tire and had it done in 15 mins. showing us the 3 inch nail that was the culprit in stopping our trip. When we originally went to American Custom Tire, my husband left his car keys on the counter (per their request) and totally forgot he had. We called them when we got home and got an attitude from their Manager. We arranged with Carla and the Manager Dycoda to go across the street and get his keys which they did. The mechanics came out as soon as we pulled up, take a look, gave us a diag and an estimate within 10-15 minutes. Unfortunately, they wouldn't be able to obtain the parts for a couple days and we had to be in LA by morning. So no repair was done but they assured us it was safe to drive the vehicle back home to swap vehicles. They didn't charge anything for the diag and were very friendly and helpful!

Founds myself with a flat rear tire on my motorcycle about 30 miles east of Quartzite, AZ on US10…read morearound 4pm. Called AAA who connected me with a dispatcher (Eric I believe) from A Toe Truck. Long story short, I wanted to get to Goodyear, AZ (~70 miles) but the problem was they couldn't tow me beyond Tonopah. In order to get me to Goodyear they need to arrange and coordinate a 'relay' where another tow truck would meet us and they would transfer my bike to the new company who could tow me the rest of the way. Eric was MORE than communicative and answered my calls looking for updates and progress. After 3+ hours and they hadn't been able to arrange a relay it was pitch black, cold, and we (my buddy stayed with me) had a hard time seeing anything other than the non-stop whizzing of cars/semi's rolling past. Eric sent a truck as a 'safety tow' to get me to Quartzite to spend the night in a hotel so I was safe and they would work on arranging a relay tow first thing in the morning. Erick coordinated with AAA so I could have the safety tow and AAA would still allow my tow (~100 miles from Quartzite) under my AAA membership. Wanting to avoid the relay experience from the previous night I opted for a tow to the Harley-Davidson dealer in Yuma first thing the next morning. All in all I dealt with 2 dispatchers (Erick/Jasmine) and 2 drivers (Tyrone/Javier) and they were ALL courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, and showed the utmost in patience and attitude to me and my buddy throughout the entire ordeal. While I'm disappointed with AAA and this whole 'relay' concept and that they couldn't authorize an exception to provide A Toe Truck compensation given the time/safety of the situation, as a two provider A Toe Truck is top notch! I remember this lot. 10 years ago they managed to make an already terrible day worse. We survived a middle of the night car accident with our baby, and made our way to this lot in the morning to pick up our stuff. Some asinine employee screamed at us "no one's touching anything until I get my $50". I've included a picture of him for reference. I was in a cast and a sling. I paid him and then he then stood guard over our vehicle and us to make sure we didn't take any of the car, because that was "his" property now. Again, see the photo, I'm not taking any of the car, I couldn't even carry anything because both my arms were inoperable. He also blew his cigarette smoke at us and our baby the entire time. We're fine and healed now, but I'm sure you're still at your impound lot in Quartzite living the life. Shame on you, and your company, and the sloppy police department that ever considered working with you. I hope you go out of business.

Turns out the tow truck driver took us to an unlicensed mechanic who wrongfully told us that my car was a total loss and tried to convince me to sell it to them for nothing. Luckily, I decided to have Ace towing take it ~300 miles back to my personal mechanic who found a way to save it by- wait for it-REPLACING THE BATTERY! I ended up having to file a claim with the California bureau of automotive repair to get the $1500 I spent on towing and diagnostics from the unlicensed mechanic they brought me to. Perhaps this was just a bad judgement call on the driver's part and not a purposeful attempt to collude with the mechanic and scam me out of a perfectly good vehicle... I'm not sure. But regardless of their intent, I think it's highly irresponsible of them to suggest and tow me to an unlicensed mechanic.

As I began my journey from LA to Phoenix the next morning, my oil pressure light kept coming on. I first stopped in Indio to find my oil bone dry so I added 3 quarts. From Indio to Quartzite, my oil light came on again and upon finding my oil once again bone dry at the Terribles Gas Station, an older man noticed I was in distress and suggested I follow him next door to "American Custom Tire and Wheel" because they were honest and reputable. Upon arrival at this shop, Robby was so attentive and eager to help me as quickly as possible. When they put my car on the lift, Robbie immediately identified a busted O ring for my oil filter that was never correctly installed, causing my engine to continuously lose oil. Not only did Robbie quickly repair my oil filter, he would NOT accept any money for the new O ring or any of the labor involved. As a woman that doesn't know much about car repairs, I've been so used to repair shops nickel and diming me for every little thing and often times taking advantage of me. Not only were these guys so very cool, courteous, and honest, they were extremely generous! I will NEVER forget how impressed I was with their professionalism and generosity! Robby saved my engine from seizing on the way to PHX!!
