I think they made a mistake on processing my tickets at first then I had to come back later in the day so they could correct it. Thanks to the brother behind the cash register at night time with the Jamaican accent and to the daytime guy with the hat and glasses. I appreciate. Even if I don't win anything, the help is appreciated. The desk to fill out your tickets is small, probably only for 2 ppl to write on. There are scratch offs too to play. Lines can get long but they're efficient. 5***** for the service I received from the workers 3*** for location and convenience store itself. I stayed at the Gaylord opry resort so the walk here ( Is a bit (if you don't have a car, the walk is ~0.6miles one way). At least you get kind of a workout in for the day, 30min walk one way depending on your pace and traffic. They have bathrooms too which is often used by passerby travelers filling up on gas. Bring a scent deodorizer to be safe lol. Bathrooms are next to the lottery counter desk.

The store, while it underwent a branding update, is essentially the same store with the same layout and offerings. I sometimes swing in here before or after the gym, usually for a drink. Selection is hit and miss, mainly because stock is inconsistent. Gas prices are competitive for the area, not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. Cleanliness and condition need some attention. And service is "meh" at best. Convenient location, but not a pleasurable experience stopping by.

Today (12/23/24), I went to this store #4703950 with my girlfriend to buy candy and a drink. While…read morewe were in line, a homeless man in front of us was trying to buy coffee. He had change in his hand and was getting ready to pay when John, the "store assistant," gave him a demeaning look and asked where he got his money. Disgusted, I asked John why that mattered and told the man to grab whatever he wanted from the store, and I'd pay for it. John didn't like that. He refused to let the man take anything more and only allowed him to leave with the coffee and donuts he already had, giving them free of charge just to stop me from paying for him. Then, John refused to sell anything to me or my girlfriend. He set our candy and drink aside and wouldn't let us buy them. The customers behind us tried to pay for our stuff, but John wouldn't let them do that either. Then, he refused to sell them the alcohol they were trying to buy. The customers walked out, cussing him out (rightfully so), and John cussed them out in return. When we asked John for his badge or ID number, he refused to give it to us. His badge says "store assistant," but he claimed he was the manager and said he didn't care if we reported him because he'd been there 7-8 years and everything is recorded. It's two days before Christmas, and John treated the homeless man with pure disgust and hatred. His behavior was heartless, mean-spirited, and petty. What kind of store allows someone like this to represent them? This is exactly the kind of behavior that destroys any faith in a business.

However, that's not the only thing about the Kwik Sak that makes me wince (though the spelling of its name is a bit cringe-worthy, too). Kwik Sak, as far as location, is a fairly convenient spot to pick up whatever items you may need. It's near several banks, and it's right between Inglewood and the lower East Side. The wife of the guy who runs the place runs some sort of beauty racket, and there are always signs posted about hair supplies or manicures or something. I suppose the place is pretty "kwik" as far as service goes, but I've also found the staff to be a bit "kold." They often talk on their cell phones as they're ringing me up, and while prices on cigarettes, beer and otherwise are pretty standard, the people who run the place always seem like they couldn't care less that I'm even at the place.

Sitting just off of I-65, this Love's Travel Stop is ready to get you in and out, which is normally…read morehow my visits go when I absolutely must swing by. In this area of town, the gas station choices are less than stellar and this spot plays right into that unfortunately. For those who know Love's, you normally expect a large sprawling parking lot filled with copious gas pumps, a bright and expansive interior with many bathrooms, etc...along with all the goods of a truck stop gas station. Sadly, this Love's is a small version of that major Love's stop you are familiar with. There are not enough pumps and the lot is way too small for the amount of traffic that comes in and out. It is really nice to be able to swing right off the interstate for some gas, but you have to be careful as the amount of trucks and standard traffic doing the same can be overwhelming at times...and there isn't a lot of room for mistakes. I will agree with the other reviews about the interior being well kept and well clean. I did appreciate that, and the service from the counter was not bad. Overall, swing by as needed but never seek this spot out.

Sitting just beyond Skyline Medical and across the road from the Lowe's/Walmart complex, this Thorntons is your typical set up for the brand.
