Beautiful and vibey outdoor dining patio right along Collins Ave. Check out other pics of the lighting after sundown. Just beautiful.
I C.

Extra Virgin was a last minute find for dinner that ended up being a real treat. Party of 2 - we had just finished up an afternoon of shopping at all our favorite stores along the Lincoln Road Mall shopping strip and hadn't thought about where we might want to have dinner and some cocktails. We decided we wanted to try some place off the Lincoln Road Mall plaza but still within a short walk - we were looking for someplace a bit elevated and hoped to find a sit-down where we could dine outdoors as the weather was beautiful, sunny with a bit of a breeze. Checked Yelp and found Extra Virgin a short walk away from where we were with great reviews so we headed over. Note: You are able to make OpenTable reservations and I always highly recommend making reservations whenever you can, just in case. Good to know for future visits. That evening, fortunately, we didn't need a reservation. The outside dining area around 730PM on a Saturday night surprisingly had many tables available and we were able to grab a two top along the front of the patio area facing Collins Ave. I would highly recommend outside dining vs inside - check out my pics - the outside dining patio is on trend, elegant and beautiful. When the sun goes down, the soft lighting makes the patio area sparkle and glow. Sit back and relax. It's an incredible ambiance for a casual relaxing dinner over one of their signature cocktails or a glass of wine. I ordered the Linguini Walnut Pesto (no protein) for $29 with a glass of Malbec for $12. My dining companion ordered the Chicken Diavola $35 which came with brocolini. She also had a 1610 Collins, one of their signature cocktails for $16. While we waited for our entrees, we enjoyed our wine and cocktail along with a complimentary bread basket (ask for it as it sounds like it's not offered unless you ask). Just wish they had brought out the classic olive oil and parmesan cheese with the basket - we were too lazy to ask lol so we just went without - but ask for it! We soaked in the Miami sun as it was going down for the day. The outside front patio has beautiful trees all around that provide shade as well as beautiful rattan lanterns for decor and soft warm lighting. The restaurant is right on (the West side of) Collins Avenue with decent people watching opportunities. Both entrees were delicious. My Linguini Walnut Pesto was tasty and flavorful. Not too sauced up but just the right amount of pesto coating the pasta. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the portion size while not gargantuan was decent sized (see my pic). A little surprised they didn't serve my dish with a spoon for twirling the noodles - there wasn't even a spoon that came with the table setting which I thought was a bit odd. The Chicken Diavola was delicious - the chicken was slow roasted, super moist and flavorful - I had a taste of my friend's dish and I agree with her, it was so good. She wished (and I agree) that for $35, it had included a starchy side - potato, rice, quinoa, pasta... That would have really completed the entree and meal. The evening was lovely, the outside dining ambience was magical, the vibe was elevated casual, not stuffy and service was adequate. I liked that we didn't feel rushed or pressured to eat and run (probably due to it not being very busy). NOTE: BILL INCLUDES AN AUTOMATIC 18% GRATUITY - something we found was a standard practice with restaurants in Miami Beach and South Miami coming out of covid so check your bill carefully wherever you go to AVOID DOUBLE TIPPING! If you're down at the Lincoln Road Mall shopping district and looking for a really nice, casual, not too over the top Italian dining experience, do check out Extra Virgin.

This place is dishonest. I went here for dinner and the server brought the payment device to my table. It was already on the total screen with the tip selection enabled. I did the tip based on 20% of the bill. The server neglected to tell me that 18% gratuity had already been added, meaning he basically gave himself another 20%, dishonestly. It's a shame because the food was really good, but watch your wallet here.

This was our first time here. Wow!! I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the food and being able to people watch on Collins. Marvin was our waiter. Amazing service. The food was really good. We started off having the crab dip. It was so tasty. You taste the pieces of crab. Then, we ordered a white pizza and a spicy rigatoni and a house salad. The white pizza was delicious, and you will truly enjoy it if you like mushrooms. The spicy rigatoni has a spicy kick, but it is very good. The house salad was so delicious, the cheese gives it a nice flavor to the salad. Highly recommend this restaurant. I will be back for their brunch which I heard is great.

The decor and intimate lighting caught my attention right off of Collins, they have a gorgeous outdoor seating underneath the trees. Service was spot on and attentive. Diego the manager touched our table to see how everything was. Ordered the white pizza and charcuterie platter to start. Seared tuna with black rice as main. Food was delicious with satisfying portions. Also ordered a nice bottle of Malbec. I will come back and def worth trying! Price was reasonable.

Great ambience, and staff. Outside sitting for some fresh air, very cozy. The food is very tasty. I had the Spicy Mezzi Rigatoni and the flavor was excellent. If you come during happy hour its part of that menu which is quite nice. My husband had the Shirt Rib with the herb palenta, melted in your mouth!! Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at a hotel across from this restaurant and are so happy we ate at this wonderful bistro! Attentive service, fabulous drinks, and fresh Italian. We had the lobster ravioli with shrimp and lasagna. For drinks wr had the sweet and smoky and a our own mule. Ask for some of their homemade bread. Mia is an excellent server and took great care of us.

Went here for brunch and had an amazing time. This place is centrally located on Collins so it's a super cute vibe and great for people watching. They offer bottomless mimosas for $30. The have something for everyone on the menu and the service is quick. The staff is very friendly and the food is AMAZING. I highly recommend the French toast and avocado toast with smoked salmon.

The space feels stylish but completely unpretentious, lively without being loud, and polished without trying too hard. Sitting at the bar turned out to be a great choice (great for couples or solo diners). The food was excellent across the board. The veal Milanese was the standout; perfectly crisp, well-seasoned, and balanced. The insalata tricolore was also a pleasant surprise, a refreshing change from the typical boring restaurant salad. Service deserves a mention too. We had hiccup with one of the dishes and the team handled it gracefully and professionally, without making it awkward, exactly the kind of response you hope for in a good restaurant.

You walk in through their outdoor venue, which is full of greenery and a nice ambiance. They lead you to the bar as you wait for your table. Only con about this is the bar was super full, with people sitting there eating dinner as well. It makes it awkward trying to order a drink and putting your glass down once finishing it. You also are awkwardly stuck moving around to allow the waiters to walk by. Once sat, the service is quick and the waitress we had was super knowledgeable and friendly. Out of all the dishes we tried the polenta was the best! It was perfectly creamy and tasty. That was my first time every trying it and I was pleasantly surprised. You could share two apps with someone and get full easily. The pasta dish I ordered was okay and the tiramisu wasn't anything crazy.

The space just looks like you're transported to the coast, great vibes, even singing for birthdays you can hear from other tables, a real treat from the hustle and bustle of Miami Beach. The woman that sat us handed my daughter and I menus and said "for the lady", and handed my very pretty but short haired wife a menu and said nothing. An awkward interaction at best. Next our server came and took our orders and served some delicious warm bread with olive oil and vinegar. The food: Salmon dinner: son said the salmon was tender and flavorful and the veggies were tasty. The potatoes arrived a bit cold. Linguini with clams: my order and everyone at the table snagged a few bites. It was very flavorful with a great presentation. A slightly small portion. Cesar salad with chicken: wife's order. Salad was fine but the chicken was dry. Caciao a pepe (I think) table side pasta dish with pasta tossed in a big cheese wheel with burrata cheese and truffles. This dish was $$$$ and expectations were high. Unfortunately the pasta was VERY COLD and the truffle flavor was completely overwhelming. After about ten minutes we finally got our server's attention and he brought the dish back to the kitchen to reheat. I like truffles to the point where I get truffle fries whenever I can, and have a bottle of truffle oil at home that I use regularly, however, this was a pretty intolerable level of truffle flavor. We left with the dish, mostly uneaten. Besides the food, we ordered three Shirley Temples and one glass of Pinot Grigio. Our total bill was around $280. I had high expectations but for the price point we left feeling very disappointed.

The meat had great seasoning throughout and it was a great ratio with the sauce and ricotta. The caesar was also really good with light dressing. For entree we got the agnolotti rosso which was amazing. It was stuffed with spinach and you can tell spinach was fresh. The sauce was absolutely delicious. But anyway, on to why we're all here - The Pizza: The crust had a great crunch but I felt lacked nuance beyond that, no chew and a touch on the dry side. Cheese and sauce were fine but also unremarkable. The heaps of basil provided some bright freshness that was definitely appreciated.
