Buyer beware!!
Our home arrived from Ironwood Manufactured Home through Exquisite Homes Inc., owner Vicki Huston in Oct 2020. Suffice to say we weren't pleased with the defects and suboptimal quality. I believe the pictures provided, speak for themselves. The code violations were repaired when we reported the violations to the
Manufactured Home State of Maine Licensing Board. Ironwood shipped our with with noticeable cosmetic defects. The jacuzzi tub had sawsall blade cut marks and was the incorrect tub. Some of the baseboard plumbing was bent or simply missing in the masterbath. Our home arrived without chimney access. The wall had to be opened up for the mason to install the chimney. The basement ceiling had sizable areas of plywood unevenly cut out from under the kitchen &
bathroom flooring. The pocket door for main bathroom was damaged when the house arrived. A screw was scraping the door and wood buckled causing a knocking noise. The blown cellulose insulation was low by 20 bags.
Some of the vents weren't centered. Getting items repaired has been a timely exhausting battle with Vicki Huston. The home did arrive on
time with defects and some damaged happened on site. Our main concern was getting our home sealed prior to inclement weather which didn't happen, due to substandard workmanship. Our home got water in it about five weeks after it arrived. A tarp is not an adequate item to seal a
roof. The primary code violations were because the carpenters installed 7 cips when there should have been approx 70 clips. Roof ridge beam wasn't fastened accoring to blueprints. Gable ends had holes and not completely
sealed. Holes in floor and around plumbing had to be sealed up to prevent radon gas. Suffice to say, it is approx 16 months from when the house arrived. We still have hundreds of puck marks, chauking is cracking and multiple cracks in the sheet rock are still in need of repair to name a
few. Vicki has not responded to our request for the year end repairs. We sent a certified letter
requesting the repairs in Sept 2021. This this is our second manufactured home buying experience. We couldn't believe the lack of quality or professionalism. If you purchase a
home from Exquisite Home please take the time to have your home inspected by a professional and if you suspect any code violations contact the Manufactured Home State Licensing Board. The contract says we have to go to arbitration so we are in the process. read more
