In all honesty. The man there could've been way more helpful than he was. I had an issue that he stated he message the state about and should take some time to hear back. 2 1/2 weeks later I come back and the same thing was said. He didn't provide me with any information about how I could navigate this myself. I went to another dmv and they gave me enough information to help me out. Not to mention he didn't think I notice that after he was done with servicing me he flicked his finger as if I need to "move" and when I caught him he smiled and handed me a piece of paper with their website. Took about four hours to get my paperwork done; it seemed like only certain stations could only do specific types of requests. Their AC does not work well so it gets incredibly hot. The visibility of the board is great, but might be able to take it further with an online option instead because it gets very overcrowded. Service when you get up there is fantastic. I went to renew my driving license and found out I needed an appointment so I drove to this place and did my renewal. I was done within 30 minutes and the staff was polite and professional. They charge a convenience fee but I was able to get my license quickly. I would come here again if the need arises. read more

Cassandra and the manager here are EXTREMELY rude and seems like they have no idea what they are doing. Place is constantly packed & Cassandra is back from her lunch break walking around visiting with the girl working the front desk, then gets on her computer for about 15 minutes until she calls the next person VERY unprofessional and again extremely rude The manager is also very unprofessional. This place is kind of misleading. I went here because I thought it would be faster than the regular dmv to renew my license. However in order to be express you have to pay 12 extra dollars. I decided not too since express wasn't moving much faster than the regular line. It was so crowded I was lucky to get a seat. After an hour I was called. Then I had to find a seat again. Then I was called again to take my picture. It's hard to get to that spot because people crowd the area at the door. Then I had to sit again to wait for my license. The whole process took 1 hr and 20 mins. Everybody was nice though at least. read more

We all have horror stories and awful memories of loooooong waits at a "Department Of Motor Vehicles" or "Office Of Motor Vehicles" - whatever they call it in your state. Alas, this was a best kept secret from me here in Baton Rouge. Though there are limited services here, it was still serves a very good purpose. I needed to get my driver's license renewed and I read the reviews about this place + my husband got his license renewed here, too. Wow, this was probably the best experience I have ever had at a "motor vehicle" office. I came in around 9am on a Wednesday and there was like 2 other people here. I signed-in and I was called within 5 minutes of arriving. I could have taken care of renewal on-line, but I had a change of address and I guess you have to do that in-person at an OMV. Be sure to have a current utility bill with your name on it that proves you truly reside at that address. I surrendered my old license, got a new pic taken for my new one and they gave me my new one in no time! This is located in the far right corner of the Calandro's Supermarket on Perkins & Siegen. You can also get a Federal-approved driver's license here, too, just bring all the proper documents to get that done! Woohoo. Express Omv - No wait time at 9:00am on a Wednesday - Registration Services Near Me - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

So I was forced to go into a physical office because my residential address was not current. Make sure you bring proof of address like a utility bill. Dredging the fact that I may have to go to the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles on Independence Blvd, I searched for something/anything close by that offers Driver's License renewals. The Express Omv was very convenient except for the fact that they were a CASH only business! They up-charge me for a price of $38.25 for the standard wait that I opt for which was approximately 30 minutes in lieu of the express line for a whopping $50. The location was clean, the customer service could be a bit better, but overall I would come back if I was ineligible to do it online. read more

This location is s good alternate to use if you find yourself trying to save some time at the regular DMV. The express DMV has less people than the regular DMV which is very nice. If I know one thing I know the regular DMV you can wait hours and hours to be called, it's horrific. The express OMV has many of the same features and services, but for an up charge. Yes, you must pay for convenance. In my opinion if you have the extra money just do it!! read more
