I didn't know what to expect since I've never gotten a perm before but the hair stylist was Yoko and she was so kind and patient. She helped getting me situated where we discussed what type of perm I wanted. She shampooed my hair and that off the bat was so relaxing and set the tone of my experience. We had a great conversations as she prepared my hair - while doing the perm I was given some nice Korean coffee and was asked if I was comfortable while the perm was setting it. Yoko provided me Instructions on how to maintain the perm and also provided me products to help maintain my hair. My months of growing my hair out and finally getting my first perm experience was fantastic. I'll becoming back in 6weeks for my touch ups. After researching salons in my area I came across Limon. I checked out their yelp and Instagram to see their work. My first consultation was with Kimmy but she referred me to Isis. After my consultation I was nervous but decided to have faith and went forward with my appointment one week later. I haven't had my hair colored since Oct 2024. I let my roots grow out but the bottom portion of my hair was still blond ish. My natural hair color is dark brown and I wanted to go 2 to 3 shades lighter with subtle highlights throughout. I showed inspo pictures as a reference but most of it was verbalizing what I wanted. I was in the chair from 10:30 AM to 4:50PM. It was worth it because now I love my hair! It's so nice to see the salon decorated for the holiday with the Christmas tree filled with teddy bears, adds to the warm ambiance. I was greeted by the front desk and they offered me a complimentary drink. I had a hazelnut coffee. Everything is so well done from start to finish, the experience is one all on its own. I also got some hair products that Angela introduced me to and gave me samples the first time I was here. I bought Innersense products for 20% in their Black Friday sale. I ordered them online and set them for pick up. Angela freshened up my hair and she noticed an improvement in my wavy hair and that's really all due to the tips she gave me when she did the curly haircut. She took her time in cutting the bangs and even styled it. She's so sweet and enjoys talking to you while you're in the chair. She's also very good at cutting wavy hair (hard to find someone who can do this well). Limon Salon just got voted the Best Salon in the Silicon Valley, and you can see why! Even though it took me 30 minutes to drive here in bad Bay Area traffic, it was worth it! I already scheduled my next curly haircut for the new year.
