I had to expedite my passport and we had to scrap the entire vacation back a couple days. Judy stayed calm and understood what we were going through and made an entire new vacation plan with a beautiful hotel that had amazing views and adjusted the days of the vacation according to when my new passport would arrive and even got this vacation for cheaper than the previous. When you are spending north of $10K on a trip, you want facts, not fiction. She has been to Alaska and was very familiar with the details of how to make this a fabulous trip. (A 2012 trip to Italy with a different travel agent/agency, who had never been to Italy was a mistake I will never make again. It showed me that I need to find a Beth Levine who can enhance my investment.) Beth assisted a group of 10 of us on an Alaska land/sea cruise. She directed us to Princess, which was surprisingly good. We had done a previous cruise in 2005 on Royal Caribbean and expected Princess to be lower quality. We were mistaken. Food, service, cleanliness was all great. The entertainment is just okay, but you don't spend thousands on a trip for cruise entertainment. And for Alaska, you spend it on excursions to see this magnificent part of the world. If you can, tack on Vancouver for 2-3 days. The Butchart Gardens are spectacular; and dwarf anything that the Chicago Botanical Gardens has. Whatever you do, take a helicopter to the Mendenhall Glacier near Juneau. It's the best $1,000 bucks you'll ever spend.

Turns out the owners did not take the Apple insurance but declined in my name without telling me so they could sell me their insurance! This insurance they sold me did not cover things the Apple insurance did. Apple Vacations told me that if I had their insurance, the trip would have been refunded immediately, in full. Because of the insurance they forged for me, I had to fight with everything to get my money back, they did absolutely nothing to help. The founder of Apple Vacations actually fought by my side to get my money back from the agency because the CL Travel owners, the Dougherty's, basically told me there was nothing they could do! So I was just supposed to eat the $5K I spent with them. I haven't used them since. I decided to try them again a few weeks ago after finding the Dougherty's were no longer involved. Another crap experience. I went in and told them what I was looking for but no one the receptionist asked wanted to work with me on this trip. They then put me with an older woman who had zero interest in my trip but went thru the paces to take my info. She could not have been less interested and it showed. I sat there, silently, as she typed in her computer, not asking much about the trip but doing something on her computer (solitaire?). She then said she would get back to me by email with what she found on the trip I was looking to go on. Being a big, pricey trip, I thought they might be a bit more helpful. It has been over 2 weeks and I received 1 email with minimal info for one small part of the trip, nothing else. IMHO, this agency is awful, avoid dealing with these people. I have talked to other agencies since and they have all been very excited about my trip, asking detailed questions and have put together fantastic itineraries. The difference is night and day. I am not sure how they stay in business if this is how they treat potential customers.

Nobody wanted to be the designated driver so we decided to splurge and hire a car and driver for the day. I contacted a few places and Deerbrook had the best pricing. On the day of the event, my husband was sick and wasn't able to drop me off at my friends house so I called Deerbrook at the last minute to add an additional pick up and drop off and an earlier start time. They called the driver and he was able to accommodate us. The driver was on time and friendly. We had a great time and plan to use them again for a celebration or a ride to the airport.

The 2 adults and 2 kids had a 12 hour day on going to the Dominican Republic , we asked if this could be changed , the answer was no. The return flight was going to be 6 hours we were able to change that. I advised her that my wife couldn't do stairs and if there was an elevator in the building we were good with the room she had given us. She said: I'm in contact with the resort and doing the best I can for you. We were told that that the buildings did not have an elevator, and that she would get us a room on the first floor with a pool. The added cost was $500.00 , every building did have an elevator. She talks a great game but did not make any effort to look for what I requested, and another $500.00 for the vacation that was already more than the budget that she was given

No one has called me back. I have traveled to Italy (multiple times), Greece, Alaska, Caribbean, Mexico, and Ireland. This company never had me as a client and never will, but I would have been a good one to have. A little communication would have gone a long way, huge mistake for them.

To make it even easier, they provided me with suggestions on where to eat, which made surprising my girl all the more possible.
