I am a realtor and I flip houses. I meet and work with a lot of different contractors. One of my go…read moreto guys was busy and I found Greg Hall on Craigslist of all places. When I called Greg he was professional, asked good, qualifying questions about the project and set some expectations before we scheduled to meet at my current project house. He was on time, he assessed the work to be done and we agreed on a price. As he stated during our fist call he asked for a couple of hundred bucks to keep his help paid and agreed that the majority of his payment would be paid after he completed the job to my satisfaction. Greg showed up on time each day. He let me know during our first call that his work day was sometimes shortened because of his kids school and activity schedule. He told me at least one day in advance what the next day's schedule would be. Honestly, his schedule didn't seem any different than most contractors I've ever dealt with. His willingness to let me know his schedule in advance and then honor that schedule was a great help to me. His workmanship was top notch. He used good practices and made conscious decisions to do each step correctly while he worked. How refreshing to find someone who cares about their work. Everything he did was quality work. He told me what he was going to do. He did it. Then he told me what he did. Greg did not show up in a $50,000 monster truck. He was not wearing a gold rolex and $500 dollar boots. He did not have a trailer filled with the most expensive tools. He showed up in a reliable truck filled with enough tools to do exactly what I asked him to do. He shared some of his opinions about renovation and I shared some of mine. I deferred to his experience and method on a couple of projects and asked him to do things my way on a few items. It was no big deal for me that Greg had suggestions about how things could be done. I was thankful for a fresh set of eyes to view the same problem and perhaps suggest a new or different method. It was comforting for me to realize that I had a skilled tradesman on my job site. Judging from what I learned about Greg from talking to him and watching him work, I'd say he's been around renovation and construction enough years that he knows how to do a lot of different construction activities. I didn't do a background check on Greg, but I can tell you I left him alone in a house filled with thousands of dollars of my tools and I never once felt like he would steal them. He didn't. I don't know if Greg ever had a DUI or not. I don't care. I'm not the morality police and I don't see what that would or wouldn't have to do with anyones ability to do a good job on a construction site. I was with Greg each day for about a week and I can tell you the stiffest drink we had was iced tea. I will positively use Greg again. I know what good work looks like when it's finished and his work at my location was good.

My honest review of this "business" should you choose to call it that is as follows…read more  First and foremost this "business" does not reside at the address it claims to. The address listed is not only my personal residence but also one that the owner of this "business", Greg Hall, is not allowed within 200 yards of due to domestic violence. A judge ordered him to vacate the premises over a year ago. So it would be a little difficult to handle business from that distance and with those restrictions.  With that being said and also to keep things honest. Greg Hall used to reside at the address above and did do some "work", if you can call it that, allow me to share the highlights: leaky second hand skylight taken from a previous job, added archways to kitchen that also leak, ill fitted reused kitchen sink from a previous remodel for another client, unfinished framing around oven, a "gazebo" made from old rotted doors torn from previous demolition jobs, and his prized possession, a home made urinal crafted from double stacking two regular bathroom sinks. This is just a short list of some of the dozens of well documented "upgrades" he did to our home. Keep in mind that these "upgrades"  were done while he lived at this address. If this is the care and lack of respect he took in "renovating" his own home then what kind of quality can you really expect for a home that he does NOT live in. When it comes to remodeling your home or business I would do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache and take your job to a more reliable, responsible, honest contractor.

Foreman did a presentation on a laptop, intentionally skipping pertinent information and documents. Foreman then fraudulently, superimposed my signature on a document(lien) I did not sign and never knew existed. RR took months to complete my roof due to their excuses and delays. Afterwards, RR left packs of shingles in front of my garage for two months, they were supposed to be removed in a few days. There were two separate times, I did not hear from RR for over 30 days. RR always has an excuse for their over promising and under producing! I would love to include pictures of my new garage door and the interior leak RR was supposed to fix, but after six months of lies, delays, and fraud, I informed RR that due to their breach of contract, I was severing business ties with them. Foreman stated that, this is my fault, and that I have to use RR to complete the project. Ready Roofings lies, unprofessionalism, and fraudulent behavior are not my fault! While I already knew this, I do not have to, and I am not using RR to complete the project. RR has stated they are filing a lien(with a fraudulent superimposed signature) on my house, as well as, theft of services charges. I'm looking forward to my day in court! EXAMPLE OF READY ROOFING'S UNACCEPTABLE CONDUCT: I own a two story home. An internal leak started upstairs. RR sent contractors to repair the leak downstairs. I stated to the contractor, When it rains, due to gravity, the leak from upstairs is going to travel downwards and ruin this repair, why are you not upstairs, where the leak originated? An argument ensued and I had to literally tell the contractor to get out of house, twice. The contractor did $300.00 worth of damage to the Scribe Molding in my kitchen, which I have not been compensated for. I contacted Foreman and his response was, you will have to file another claim. No, I will not file another claim. I will use a reputable company moving forward. I have several other documented examples of Foreman and Ready Roofings lies, unprofessionalism, and fraudulent behavior! I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH READY ROOFING AGAIN! I WOULD SUGGEST YOU DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH READY ROOFING, UNLESS YOU WANT LIES, EXCUSES, DELAYS, AND FRAUDULENT BEHAVIOR!

Insurance originally inspected the damage and determined it was a builder oversight and nothing they can do. Brandon and Amity took over this project with haste. We had public adjusters, private contractors, and designated teams to fight the insurance company. After a couple of inspections we only got them to cover only 10% of the project. That wasn't good enough for Amity (and us). They fought tooth and nail for over 10 months until we finally got the approval and payment we needed to get this project going and to make sure my family was taken care of. They replaced the entire roof, all the gutters, and renovated the whole garage interior and exterior. It was truly a crazy experience. The roof itself only took a day. The gutters and garage a day as well. Very efficient team from start to finish. We ended up selling the house and moving a few months after the project was finished, but this roof and reno definitely improved the market value of my home. That is undeniably worth the call to Amity roofing.
