I absolutely LOVED hearing music choices like classic R&B music, African artist, Jamaican artist, & more. My hair stylist Judith, oh my goodness I absolutely enjoyed her working on my crown. Judith was very neat and soft with handling my hair every step of the way. I admire those ladies that can do your hair gently without feeling like that have to snatch your hair and thoughts. Another plus about this shop is they have a beauty supply store attached, so don't feel like you have to buy hair before your appointment. These ladies are stocked up and ready. Thank you greatly to all you ladies working at the shop.

The people were friendly. I like the vibe and music because they had an all inclusive play list…read morethat catered to not just them, but also the variety of clients they service. The digital check in process and text updates were great although it told me to go to a shampoo bowl that I never saw or knew where it was since I was a first time client. Needless to say my stylist didn't ask if I wanted to or needed to be washed. I love the beauty supply concept and decor. I got miracle knits and within 4 days I had 2 slide out of my hair. I found a couple braids in the back that were unfinished and I currently have a few crochet miracle knots barely hanging on and need to be removed. I read reviews before I came and definitely understand the mixed reviews because it seems like the finish product and service is hit and miss. I loved my hair and got plenty of compliments, but once my hair was inspected up close I could see all the defects. I noticed most of the people there were getting knotless boho braids which appeared to look good, so I might not try the miracle knots there again but I'm still open to maybe the most common and popular style they do. I'm willing to try it one more time before I completely write them off.

This review is specifically based on the purchase of hair products in the salon. I have not been to…read morethe salon for a cut or style before. I first went to this location in November of last year. I had a blowout at a salon across the state and I really loved the Kevin Murphy hair line. I was able to find a nearby salon (Vintage Room) which also sold his line of products. Yay! I stopped in and was helped by a women (who may be the manager) who smelled of lots of cigarettes. It made me uncomfortable talking to her because I could barely breathe. She showed me what products they had but I could tell she wasn't that knowledgeable about them. She just wanted a sale. I ended up buying a few products that day. I knew the products would be expensive, but I trusted they would work well (which they did.) This leaves me to today .... I stopped in to buy a shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner. I expected to pay about $100 for everything after tax. No big deal. The deep conditioner that I bought a few months ago was now $54! I previously paid $35. I'm kind of just flabbergasted. I feel like they really just change prices randomly -- on everything. I wasn't offered an apology or price check (since the product also has a price on it.) I don't think this is the right way to do business and I will not be back.

Since using Betsy my hair is the healthiest and best it's ever been. I get complimented daily on my color. Platinum blond is definitely on trend and it takes a true artist to get the color just right. Betsy is that artist.
