The parking lot was full of trash, broken glass and hookers looking for customers. The room had one full bed not two. Within five minutes three drug deals occurred in the room next door. I don't expect five star luxury at a budget price. What I do expect is a bed with clean sheets, pillows, at least two towels, a working toilet with toilet paper available. Our room had gang graffiti on the American flag on the wall. There were several bloodstains scattered around and some crusty white substance on the rug. The bedspread had several cigarette burns. The smell of stale cigarettes, mold and prior sexual activity nearly made us throw up. The smoke detector was damaged and non working. Mold was growing all over the ceiling. Bed bugs were visible. The lid to the toilet was missing as were toilet paper and towels. live roaches were crawling in the shower. When we went downstairs the clerk was having a huge nosebleed all over the place and had a long trail of bloody toilet paper hanging out of her nose. Her tween son was riding a skateboard and smoking. She refused to make any adjustments even to the price which was for the booked room not the one we received. I called Oyo customer service and was epically disappointed with the result. We told them we were leaving as the room was a health and safety hazard. They refunded the stay but it'll take a week to get the refund. Luckily even though we're on a fixed disability income we had enough with us to drive a couple of miles to the Clarion for a rate $7 higher. We will be forwarding pictures to the health department. My husband among other qualifications is a certified mold inspector, trauma cleanup and other categories dealing with public health and safety. Avoid this place at all costs unless you're looking for a cheap hooker, drugs. Bedbugs or other lingering effects.
