You will need to uber/Lyft or rental your car there. Check in was a breeze. Lady who checked me in was lively and friendly. The room was a good size with a king size bed. Bed however was not comfortable. Bathroom fan was removed and the shower head looked gross. No cold water or even comfortable warm water when attempting to shower.That was a pain. Room did have a mini fridge/ microwave and a smart TV (I think) since I didn't bother using it as I had my laptop. The room smell was ok. Not the best smelling room but it didn't smell like cigs or worst bugs. What I was most bummed about was two things: Fitness center- that was one of the reason I booked the place. It was CLOSED! With no estimate time of reopening. Breakfast--- let's just say, by far, the worst options and lack thereof for a free continental breakfast. Even the juice machine didn't have any apply juice to vend out. Sadly, even though my stay was short, I wouldn't come back. I've stayed at many Best Westerns before and this one, well, sadly was the worst location year to date.

I asked for a refund and the attendant was apathetic and told me to contact the booking company I used. I asked him to write a signed statement as to why I couldn't stay there and he refused, called who I assumed was his manager and then told me they couldn't do anything for me and reiterated "call the booking company you used", so I did. The the support person I got at hotels.com seemed genuinely helpful and he tried to contact the manager/owner of the hotel to "see if they would waive the cancellation penalty" but was told they were too busy to talk. He assured me that they would make me priority and even though this sort of thing can take up to 72 hours, he'd try to get it done in 24-48 hours. It has now been over 72 hours and the manager/owner cannot be contacted to waive the cancellation penalty. I didn't cancel, I was refused a room because of their failure. A bad facility is one thing, turning people away and keeping their money is THEFT!

At first, I was a little worried after reading the reviews but with this being my third day staying here I feel I'm qualified to leave an honest and accurate review. The rooms are all clean and cleaned daily (we have multiple rooms). The staff are all courteous and have went above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs. The grounds are well maintained. Breakfast is typical hotel breakfast. Biscuits and gravy, eggs, potatoes, sausage, waffles, toast/bagels ect ect. The pool is nice. There's a nice gazebo that's fenced in. Semi close to the fairgrounds (10 minutes). Beds are comfortable. I recommend this LaQuinta.
