This is a amazing walking tour in Barcelona, our tour guide Matthias, got sense of humor, gentle and very good knowledge about the history of Catalana...the tour including some back ground of the gothic quarters, some details on the building you could missed it, a little bit touch of Art Deco, and modern art as well, he also picked out some contrast information from different years,so it's kind like a twist, you can imagine that old picture about the carriages and horses passing by, and now you just walking on the same street~ incredible feeling. We had such a great time kayaking and exploring with Excursions Barcelona. Our guide was so nice! I think his name was Borja, but I'm having a memory lapse. We explored coves, snorkeled, saw big octopus, and had so much fun! Even the drive up from Barcleona to Costa Brava was fun! They provide a nice sandwich for lunch. We did this in mid October, which was prob a bit cooler than June-Sept, but still very nice. I wore the long wetsuit and was glad I did. Highly recommended! read more

This was such a great experience! Everything was well organized from start to finish. The tour guides were fun, outgoing, and clearly loved their jobs! We had the pleasure of having Elena as our kayak guide and she was awesome! She was so friendly and made the effort to get to know each of us. The location was so beautiful and the kayaking portion was amazing. They take you on a winding path along the coastal cliffs. Once you get back you are served lunch and have a couple hours to enjoy the beach or take a walk along the coastal trail! Definitely recommend this trip! read more

This is an amazing excursion. We had the kayak/snorkling adventure hosted by JB. He was a great guide and such an easy going guy, you felt really safe and comfortable out on the water. We met up at Port Olimpic with the others taking the tour. After a stop for gas and treats, we made our way to Costa Brava. There we donned wet suits and got changed before heading to our kayaks. Our group had tandems. I was a bit nervous about the snorkeling as I've never done it but he helped ease my fears. We were able to kayak to some beautiful spots, hold a sea urchin and cliff jump. If you don't have a waterproof camera, you won't be able to bring it with you. JB ensures he takes a lot of photos of each participant in all the activities, and then uploads them to Facebook. I really enjoyed my 3-4 hours on the water. It was calm and there wasn't much traffic on the water so no dodging swimmers or other boats. We also learned how to get back on the kayak if it tips over. The snorkling was easy and it was a bit disappointing to not see anything. But that is out of his control. After we make it to shore, he prepares a simple sandwich lunch. It was delicious. The ride home was a sleepy one but overall a great day. I highly recommend this tour for those visiting Barcelona that want to get away from the city. It's fun, good exercise and very memorable. Just bring water shoes so your feet don't get eaten up by the rocks. read more

Our tour guide was Matthias, and I kid you not, he was one of the best free walking tour guides we've had...it's not even close. Mathias took time to explain everything in great detail and doesn't rush the tour. He was also the only tour guide to actually send you a whatsapp confirmation message, meaning he actually cares if you show up or not. Our tour only consisted of 9 people, which was a perfect size for a more intimate tour. Don't hesitate to book with him if you're in Old Town Barcelona, in fact, I'd recommend you personally request him to be your guide. We had a fantastic time learning about the city. read more

I am 44 years old, and this was my very first time kayaking. My 20 year old son talked me into it, and i was a little nervous since my athletic ability is almost nonexistent. The guides made it easy!!! I even climbed the stairs to the top of a rock and jumped off. This was also a first for me. Our guide was Edu from Brazil. He took a lot of pictures which they post to facebook for free. You can share them with anyone. The snorkeling was also fun. Keep in mind they do not give you flippers for your feet. They gave us subs for lunch and we had an hour to relax on the beach. Some of the girls on the beach do not wear tops. I think that is optional here. read more

I met one of the owners of this company through a walking tour! He invited my group that I was traveling with to partake on the kayak/cliff jumping adventure. It only cost us 55 euro and included rountrip car ride, kayaks, snorkeling, cliff jumping, sightseeing some caves, and lunch (made by the two owners). These guys were awesome! They even provided an underwater camera for you to use and then they upload your adventure on FB so you can snag the photos (when I went- we didn't have cool underwater cases for our phones yet ;)). read more

Kayacking in crystal clear water, snorkeling with whole schools of fish, cliff jumoing if you wish, and lunch!!! Who could ask for a better day? This is a very small company run by a couple of guys who are very kind and genuine. This was a very easy adventure. They picked us up on time, drove us by bus to a gorgeous beach, and gave us all the gear we needed. They also took all the photos you could want so leave your camera at home. They provided locked storage and a classic meat and cheese sandwich for lunch. Note: bring sunscreen with a high spf that is waterproof 2) a visor or hat that stays on tight or sunglasses with a strap so they dont fall off 3) a towel or sarong to lay on the beach after the trip 4) $ for a juice or beer at the nearby beach bar 5) Water and more Water!!! 6) leave the rest behind. This is well worth the $ and an excellent way to relax during the hottest days of summer. Dont miss it! read more

Had a great bike ride up Montjuic (the hill overlooking Barcelona harbor) with Matthias. He went out of his way to accommodate my elderly father, making slight adjustments to the route so my dad would be more comfortable on the hills and in crowds. The views from the hill, and the history of the things atop it, made this tour a top highlight of our trip. Matthias brought everything to life with funny, super-knowledgeable insights into current and past events and places. The electric bikes were powerful and easy to operate -- making a hill climb that would have been very tough on a regular bike a breeze instead. I love touring new places by bike, but this tour exceeded my expectations. read more

What an absolutely amazing adventure! I went did the kayaking/snorkeling adventure in Costa Brava and boy was it absolutely amazing. I had the best time ever on this trip. Our guide, David, was fantastic! He was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable, which made the trip even better. Every guide has a GoPro with them and they constantly take photos throughout the trip for free, fantastic feature. The pictures David took were amazing. I booked a Barcelona city bike tour on the company's website one day in advance. It was 7€ (credit card) to reserve your spot and 15€ (cash only) upon tour completion. I thought the pricing was quite reasonable. On the day of the tour, I met my tour group at the rent-a-bike shop. On arrival, I was surprised that I was the only person booked for that day. My tour lasted for about 2.5 hours. It ended up being a quicker tour since my guide only had to deal with one person, but this made for a more intimate educational experience. I was running about 5-10 minutes late, but my lovely tour guide Lenor was quite accommodating. We would bike to each site and Lenor would offer some historical factoids on each one. She would wait patiently as I took photos and even offered to photograph me at each site. Her knowledge of the city and its history is quite impressive. After the bike tour, Lenor volunteered to be available for any questions and advice on things to do in the city (via the company's e-mail). I didn't take advantage of this, but thought it was a nice gesture. In conclusion, it was a wonderful experience. If you're interested in a brief immersion of Barcelona's rich history (historical and architectural) as well as some leisurely exercise, I highly recommend the city bike tour from Excursions Barcelona. read more

One of our favorite activities while in Barcelona. This was a perfect adventure for me and my teenage son. Kayaking was incredible, beautiful, and fun. Very good sandwiches for lunch! Fantastic tour and a great value. it starts with a bus ride from Barcelona up to Costa Brava, then once you arrive at the beach split up into groups to go kayaking along the coast and exploring the caves, punctuatd by breaks to swim and cliff dive. After a while everyone clusters up and those who want to can snorkel while everyone else swims and cliff dives some more or just suns themselves on the boats or the rocks. When we went it was absolutely gorgeous with water so clear you could see all the way to the bottom. The Mediterranean is super salty which makes it really easy to float so you don't have to be a super strong swimmer. Finally after a good 4 hours we all paddled back and hung out on the beach eating sandwiches. It was fantastic. The guides were great, the tour itself was a lot of fun, and even the included lunch was good. Money well spent. read more

Don't confuse this place with the other kayaking companies! This is the original! The two guys in charge are really sweet and genuine. Honestly I think they should be charging more than 60 for the whole day trip. This includes the bus ride, kayaking, snorkeling, caves, beach, and sandwiches. We got to touch a starfish too! If you enjoy snorkeling and don't mind some kayaking, I highly recommend booking with this group. I have been on snorkeling tours in Mexico, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and Belize. This was one of the best I have ever done and by far the best price. My son and I overslept and then were taken to the wrong plaza by our taxi driver, but the tour guides and owners were all so kind and professional and helped us (finally) get to the right place. I am so glad we didn't miss this very fun and relaxing day. I had never kayaked before, and parts of it were pretty windy, but again the guides were patient and professional and I believe everyone on the tour had a fabulous time. The scenery of Costa Brava is incredible. One of my favorite things about the tour was the freedom they allowed us while snorkeling. We could really take our time and explore the area with no pressure to hurry or stay with the group. The water was very clear, colder than I like but luckily they provided wetsuits. A wonderful way to spend a day away from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. read more
