What a relief! When I turned my pool heater on last Friday and it sounded like I set off a Mag5 earthquake I concluded that I was going to need some outside assistance. Google was no help so I went onto Yelp and found Daniel's company. I selected it because of the overwhelming number of positive reviews and comments. Daniel himself actually answered the call! He was professional , responsive and set an appointment to come out the next day...which he did! He was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, honest and fixed the problem in no time. I called two other company's between 8-9:00 am and thought whichever company will call first and will want to repair my pool would be great, guess what neither company called back by 3:00 pm. So I thought I better get a hold of someone else. Went back to the internet and found Excellent Pool service. Now I was hoping to find someone that would be able to come out Friday, the very next day. When I made the call Jorge answered the phone, asked what my problem was and said he could be there in the next hour. He asked I send the address by text and would charge 85.00 service fee but if I had him do the repair he would eliminate the service fee. I waited 45-50 minutes and he showed up, less than an hour. He looked at my equipment and diagnosed the issue in 15 minutes starting filling my spa back up manually from the pool pump, bingo. He said he would try to pick up a new power valve and be back in the morning and I thought great. Finally I am filling better, this company not only knows what they are doing but did it efficiently! I rate this company five stars because the owner is more knowledgeable than anyone I have had taking care of my pool system. A few times the pumps completely stopped working and he was able to come out and give us a fix without replacing any parts. He is willing to clean the filters and do what needs to be done even if he's not doing your weekly service. He does my weekly pool service and keeps my water Crystal, he's the only pool guy I've ever had that actually brushes and vacuums the sides of the pool every week, I have a new were self cleaning pool with a saltwater system. Everyone else just takes a broom and brushes the bottom. I had some problems again today with my pump and he gave me many cost options and completely explained what was going on with my saltwater chlorinating system. I would definitely recommend Jorge for any issues or problems that you have with your pool. Very reliable, dependable, and quick to respond to texts, phone calls. He installed a gas heater for my pool today! Very excited, I did a lot of research prior to and I believe Jorges's install was perfect and will increase the life of my expensive heater! My daughter and her husband in Las Vegas have a large 30,000+ gallon pool and spa. It was in bad shape after some filter and power problems. Dark green with algae and badly out of condition. We were told by other services that the whole pool would have to be drained and cleaned out. Very expensive. Jorge and his son however were able to take care of the problem without draining. They worked every day for a week on it but the cost was very fair and reasonable. I have hired them for weekly service, which is also quite fair, especially considering it's a difficult pool to maintain. Other services I've had quit on me. They answered my request off hours very quickly ,ask what my problem was ,and told me who they were. I scheduled an appointment within three days of my original call. They arrived on time wearing face masks and diagnosed the problem with my 28 year old pool light. They installed a new cable and light bulb housing along with a new on /off switch,and a new ground fault switch. They were friendly and did not mind me hanging around asking questions. My pump burned out just days before a party for our daughter. I contacted a couple other places first and was told that they do not cover my area, because it is too far. (I live near Blue Diamond & Durango). Jorge was my last call. He came out two days after I called him and took a look. After agreeing to replace the full pump and upgrade to a more efficient variable speed pump, he said he would be back the next day to fix it. My husband and I had been in an RV park waiting for our house to close and were down to the wire. I had previously looked for pool services last week to get the pool checked out. My pool pump was humming so I called Jorge because of their great reviews. He was punctual and professional and did a great job of fixing my pump. The capacitor was bad so he replaced it right there in a few minutes. He charged $140 for this. I looked it up later and a pool pump capacitor costs like $20 so charging that much seems like a rip off to me. Jorge called me after I put in my review and said he knows the parts are cheaper online but he does not buy them there and the capacitor he used cost $60. NOT TRANSPARENT! I Contacted this company based on reviews. I talked to Jorge over the phone {both my husband and I} told him we would like a quote on an acid wash/bead blast for our pool tiles. He said he would come out, take a look, and give us a quote-this ended our conversation. He came out the next day, looked at our pebble sheen for less than 5 minutes with another gentleman but as my husband and this "Subject Matter Expert" were in conversation--Jorge interrupted and stated that this was a Service Call would be $85. He kept adding that you should have looked at my website. It took us by surprise since this was "Quote," and I found him on Yelp; we've talked a few times, never once mentioning this was a service call or there was a fee. He left stating, 'he couldn't help us after all,' and within a total of 5 minutes, we did write the check but will never use or recommend him! I gave a 2 star because the other gentleman walked around our pool and discussed things over with us. In the end, this company could have been honest and upfront that he would switch our "free quote" to a "service call," one in which he still did NOT help us.
