Except when your pool vacuum bites off more than it can chew and clogs one of the internal lines that leads to the pump. My pool pump was leaking for a couple of days. I finally got around to contacting several recommended pool repair companies. Excellent pool company contacted me in a short time frame and scheduled a time for the next day to look at my pump. Daniel showed up at the designated time and attempted to repair the pump. He was up front and honest about the possibility that my pump could not be repaired and gave me the cost breakdowns for the options for a new pump. The following day, Daniel, Jorge, and another gentleman came to replace the pump. There was no hidden cost or suggestions to do anything additional. RESPONSE TO OWNERS REPLY: THE OWNER OF EXCELLENT POOLS IS LYING TO TRY AND SAVE FACE RIGHT NOW BECAUSE HE KNOWS HIS ACTIONS WERE COMPLETELY OVER THE LINE!! I HAVE RECORDINGS ON MY PHONES CAMERA OF THE CALLS! there was no misunderstanding on my part. He got there early, and never rang the bell, or knocked, or contacted me in anyway to let me know he'd arrived. My wife seen him in the driveway as she was backing out the garage to go to the store. He told her he was here for the pool so she opened the gate to let him in, and then came and told me he was here. this was approx 10:55-11a. i sent him a message saying id be right out i came outside at approx 10:57a, and he was gone. i sent him a message asking where he was at? he responded with one word: "pool". so i went to the backyard just to dbl check i hadn't somehow not seen him when i was just back by the pool 30 seconds prior. i called him at 10:59a he didnt answer. he then sent me a message 5mins later at 11:05a saying "im at the pool" (which was a complete lie, he'd already left at this point). i called him again, and again he didn't answer, then he sent a message 3 mins later at 11:08a which read "leaving". I called him again, and he answered this time. i asked him why'd he leave, we exchanged words and, he became irate and began cursing, and yelling so i hung up the phone. that's when he called back 7 times in a row, back to back, cursing, yelling at me, and threatening to do harm to me physically and to damage my pool equipment! JUST LOOK AT THE PHOTOS I POSTED. YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THE COMMUNICATION TIMELINE. NOTICE THE 7 BACK TO BACK CALLS, AND THE TIMES! JUST LOOK AT THE DISCREPANCIES IN HIS STATEMENTS, ALL OF MY STATEMENTS MATCH UP WITH THE PHOTOS AND TIMEFRAMES, HIS DO NOT! A FEW THINGS TO CONSIDER: 1. Do you want to trust someone who threatens clients with physical harm, and vandalism of their pool equipment for such a small issue? 2. Here is the story: My Home warrenty would not repair or replace my pool heater because of mice damaging the wires. My question to the technician they sent out was " Why can't the wires be replaced?" I was told it just can't be done like that and they gave me a quote on a new heater.$6k I thought the quote was high so I called another company who also told me, it's just too difficult to fix the wires and gave me another quote for a new heater. I decided to wait because I could not afford a new heater. Somehow (miraculously) I turned on the heater a month later, and it just started working again.?? Fast forward-two years of it working just fine, I get my pool replastered and they disconnect everything. Once they reconnected everything, they told me that the heater did not work because of mice damage to the wires and tried to sell me a new heater for $4k. I called Excellent for yet a 4rth opinion. They are honest and knowledgeable. They diagnosed that the wires were not so damaged that it could not be repaired and FIXED IT at a more than reasonable price in less than 30 minutes!!! I only have great things to say about this company. Long story short, after not being happy with my old service I decided to hire someone off a neighbor application. For some reason, he decided to drain the pool and for 2-3 months after he was not able to get the chemicals right which turned the pool green. After so long the algae was deep into the plaster and I had multiple companies check it out and give me different quotes. Jorge was honest and affordable from the very beginning. It's 7 years old and didn't surprise me. I wanted a 2nd opinion and called Excellent Pool Services. I talked with Daniel yesterday and he was able to come over this afternoon. Best pool service I have ever had. Was having family come over on a Saturday, but we had a pump failure a couple of months prior, which led to algae build up and just a mess. Had several people out here, but it was never fixed properly. Even after having it drained an acid washed. It literally came down to the Saturday family was coming over for the first time to swim. I texted Ana from Excellent Pool Care early in the morning that Saturday. She responded immediately and was over at my house in about 30 minutes. She worked on it for hours, left several times to pick up things, like the manifold that holds the filters in place, that I had broken. She cleaned the pool so amazingly, it was ready to go before family even showed up that afternoon. While she was here, she taught me (who knew nothing about pools) everything! She was absolutely amazing. When it was done, she only charged me around 65 for the work, and then 75 for the manifold (which was the actual price of it). She WAY under charged me for her work and the lessons she taught me. I total of $130 for all of that????!!! Super happy and will never ever use anyone else again if I need anything.
