Before going in I read a couple of the 1 stars and dismissed the comments because I thought it may have been local competition writing fake reviews -- I was wrong! This was the worst massage I've ever had, and I wish I took heed to the advice other yelpers provided. To preface this review, I do have to say that I love massages and being from the Bay Area I'll go to the sketchiest Reflexology places if I know I can get a good massage (e.g.: Green Foot in Milpitas, CA). I got a couples massage with my cousin on 3/17 and I don't know if they were short staffed but the guy who checked me in, was the one that massaged me. Which didn't bug me, but here's why I'm giving this 1 star review and felt compelled to share it: - he asked what pressure, I said medium/ hard. He did very light to no pressure. It was around 1PM so I know he still had energy from the beginning of the day. - I felt like I was drenched in oil and when massage then wiping the oil, because he was rushing, he would do one side but then forget the other. This was the deal breaker for me. - he left for about 5-10 minutes and I was awake the whole time, he said he was going to give extra time and gave me a very rushed 2 minutes more because my cousin (in the same room as me) was already done and was just waiting awkwardly in the dark - the price was fairly higher than usual reflexology massage places I've been to. To be fair, my cousin actually did enjoy her massage and the "masseuses" were nice. But I was so livid by the experience I just walked out, and usually I am a really generous tipper but I let my cousin tip a normal amount. Tip to establishment: please do not accept reservations if you're understaffed and have someone "fill in". It'll hurt your business tremendously, i won't be returning. read more

Feeling stressed from work and sleep irregularity. Took the opportunity for a massage while staying at Peppermill which is very close to Excellent Massage. Same day online booking is very simple and received a confirmation response right away. I took the cup and massage combo and it is one of the most fabulous session I ever had. Worst massage I've ever had! Unfortunate, because I was really needing some deep tissue work. I paid for hot stones and deep tissue and instead got a very fast, I don't even know what. I had to ask her to massage my actual skin instead of over a hard/rough worn out sheet. She missed every pressure point in a basic massage. I can't even tell you how disappointed I am. I'm going straight home to pay my 16 yr old daughter to do what a so called professional wasn't able to manage. I'm so sad! They had me pay before the massage and now I know why. Let me start by saying do NOT come here. You get there, they make you pay first which is the first red flag. I got the 60 minute combo massage (30 minutes feet and 30 minutes back). They have you lay in a chair and 10 minutes is them putting half a bottle of lotion in your hair and on your neck. Then, the foot massage was HORRIBLE. Might as well been a foot rub because all she was doing for 40 minutes was rubbing lotion on my feet, no pressure or massage. Then I finally get told to flip over and she starts DIGGING her elbow in to my spine. She literally got on the bed and put her whole body weight on her elbow on my spine. I felt like I got the wind knocked out of me. I was in so much pain that I thought she was going to seriously injury me. So now it's over and I go to walk out and she stops me and says "Tip??" No mam. I paid in cash before I got the massage and I told her that was all they were getting. She didn't understand and said "wait wait! Let me get my boss" and blocked the door not letting me leave. She then left to get him and as I started to walk out to my car, she RUNS out of the door and says "you need to tip!". I ignored her and left. That was the worst and most painful massage I've ever had. I cannot believe she chased after me and tried to force me to tip after that. Excellent oil massage! We did a couple's massage and opted for the essential oil massage. Full body massage from head to toe. Therapist adjusted pressure perfectly. Not so excellent. This place used to be good, but the last 2 times have been terrible. One time the woman wreaked of fish, she had clearly just come from eating lunch or supervising the fish counter at the market next door. I gave it another try and this time the woman gave a half hearted massage, she literally had a phone in one hand and dropped it at one point, she also left room multiple times. We had high hopes for Excellent Massage as they were recommended, unfortunately they did not meet our expectations. My husband and I were shown into a "couples" room, the two therapists, both female came in and began the massage, we never really saw their faces, as we were already on the table face down, however one of them was slighter than the other, she was going to be massaging me, I had an injury on my left foot that I tried to point out but it was unclear if the message was received as it wasn't acknowledged. My therapist was very obviously chewing gum. They both spent an enormous amount of time just palpating over the sheet, my therapist continued to drive her very bony elbow into my spine, I had to, on three occasions tell her to get off my spine, each time I said something she would say something to the other therapist in another language, after the third request, they all of sudden switched places. The other therapist seemed to be much more experienced and gave an acceptable massage treatment, but not great. We did not complain, and as we were asked to pay for the treatments when we arrived we waited to decide on how much gratuity we would leave. Due to the experience we elected to leave 10% for each, which amounted to $10 each, my husband handed over a $20 bill, and as we were departing they said "excuse me, is this all?" We will definitely not be returning. read more

This is the worst Massage I've ever had in my life and I have had many. First of all the guy kept running in and out of the room, and there was noise galore with the door left open. I had a reflexology treatment and I specifically asked him, are you giving me a foot rub or a true, reflexology treatment. He looked very confused and ended up stating that it was reflexology. The absolute worst ever. It was basically a very light foot rub with no pressure points. And then they had the nerve to ask me for a tip at the end. We'll, no way. I usually don't leave negative reviews, but please excellent Massage go to school and learn how to do the proper techniques. I just want people to know what to expect and not waste their money.
