They ALWAYS bill the wrong insurance and then try to get the patient to pay saying it is their responsibility. The billing woman has no idea what she is talking about and most the claims are timely filling and need to be adjusted off for their lack of follow-up. A simple eligibility check wouldn't helped this or a call to the patient. Insurance company stated they never saw 15 denials for non-coverage before. I have told my doctor to please do not send any of my lab tests to this hole in the wall lab in NJ with only 1 billing person that is rude and doesn't know anything about medical billing (as I actually am a hospital executive and understand the process). No matter how many times I give the correct insurance they still bill it incorrect and this has been going on for years. read more

These guys made a series of mistakes in getting labs and urine from my mother and then had the nerve to grow angry with me when I brought there mistakes and they're incompetency to their attention. Beyond the accounts receivable teams overall lack of professionalism the more alarming concerns are their lack of adherence to HIPAA and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. They have a very shady practice (though not a violation itself) of parsing emergency contact info from medical charts/records and reaching out to them in the debt collection process. In doing so they shared parts of my medical care with my emergency contact. A clear violation of privacy. read more

I received a bill for over $1,300.00 and they are claiming I owe out of pocket for the bill in full as it is considered "patient responsibility"- they never billed my current insurance company - they billed my previous insurance company instead....How many times can you give them the same information - scammers - looking for out of pocket cash - my guess is to make more money - rather than go thru your insurance company. They better not even think about putting this on my credit report - I have full insurance - the bill would be paid in full if they would just bill the current insurance company. Extremely dishonest and unprofessional accounts receivables department. After deductible payments were made via cashiers checks and send thru certified US mail, 12 months later they were demanding payment again. At this time copies of original cashiers check and US mail return received card were submitted to them. Now 13 months later they are harassing me again with phone calls and threatening letters demanding payment of the same deductibles. My doctor is not doing business with them any more due to the fact that I was not hes only patient that has been subjected to these shameful practices by Excell Clinical Laboratory. This put in question the entire company professional ethics and quality assurance of their services. Not recommended. read more
