Now I just made a appt. for my cracked windshield , Skylar set me a very close appt. to come out on I could drop it off, Price was lower than Safelite and they honored their 50.00 online coupon, When I asked Safelite about their coupon , they upcharged a unknown recyling fee ! I hadn't needed to have a windshield crack repaired since moving to Anderson so I asked my dealer and he referred me to Perfection. The front desk operator/receptionist at Perfection is the epitome of courteous and knowledgeable and an appointment was quickly made. When I brought the car in today I was met with enthusiasm and courtesy by the 'team' and the repair was quickly completed at the quoted price. Having retired from the automobile business after 45 years, I can say that my experience with Perfection today was amongst the best of the best!

My moonroof stopped working suddenly. Friend of mine took a look at it and told me that he was…read morepretty sure the moonroof motor was burned up and needed to be replaced. A friend and client recommended I go to accurate Autoglass because they were cheaper than the dealership. Should be named INACCURATE Autoglass. I dropped off my car around noon. He called me a couple hours in and told me he was having problems. It was after 5 o'clock when I reached back out asking what is going on. He had told me it should only take an hour or two. 3 at most. He told me to come back to the shop, and he will talk to me about what was going on. He claimed that when he took my old motor out that it was in fact burned up and needed to be replaced. Then he hooked up the new motor, and it worked at first, but then when he bolted it in, it stopped working. He said he tried everything he could think of and he doesn't know why it's not working. He told me with the old motor my equinox was throwing 13 codes, and now with a new motor, it's only throwing two. So I said, well what are the two codes it's throwing? So he grabs his tablet and has me read it as if I know anything about car codes. It's basically Latin to me. One of them said there was a problem with the Moon roof and one of them said there was a problem with the driver window. So I questioned him why there would be a problem with the driver window, and he said well, maybe because I disconnected the battery and that's the only window that has automatic up and down. I said did you check and make sure the driver window is working? You're not gonna send me home with my car with an inoperable window, are you? And he goes wait a minute let me go check. And I was right. The driver window was not functioning properly and he said he needed to reset it . Now mind you, I don't know anything about cars, but I would think he would check this before he sent me home with my car. Should I have to tell him to make sure the driver's window is working when he's clearly seeing a code that reads it's not? Grr..... So then I said well what are we gonna do about the moonroof now? And he says he did the job I hired me for. He put in the motor and he installed it. It's not his fault that it's not working. He didn't diagnose the problem. With his hands in the air like that somehow absolved him of responsibility. I said you've got to be joking. You expect me to pay you the full amount when I'm walking out of here and my moon roof still doesn't work? Why is it my fault that you don't know how to fix this? And he said there must be another problem. He said maybe the switch had gone bad or maybe the entire tracking mechanism had gone bad. Maybe the shade motor needs replaced as well. He said he didn't really know. He said he would call GM on Monday and see if they had any ideas, but if they didn't have any suggestions, he said he was going to wash his hands of this and literally clapped his hands in front of my face. I said I'm not comfortable paying you the full amount when I didn't get what I paid for. I said I'm happy to pay you for the motor. And he said he's not comfortable with that. He said worked all day on my car. I said I understand that, but you didn't do the job I hired you to do. Again he repeated himself that he didn't diagnose the problem and this isn't his problem anymore. He did what he was hired to do. So I reluctantly handed it over $500 cash of the total $625 quoted. And I drove my car home without a working moonroof and -$500 & no guarantee that anything he did helped. It could have made it worse. Monday night I reached out to him to ask what he found out about my moonroof. He said he would call me the next day. Did he even call? Probably not. Tuesday he emails me a bulletin from GM stating that there's a problem with this make and model regarding the moonroof, and he credited the remaining portion of my bill. He said I just need to go to a dealership. So I went to Team Chevy Valpo three days later, and they fixed it in five minutes. They said he clearly didn't reset the window. That's all it needed. Clearly Paul at accurate Autoglass should not be taking on this kind of business if he doesn't have the knowledge to do this properly. And I feel like he took advantage of me financially. If he was right and this was a bigger problem than a motor that needed replacing, he should've just called me and said that I need to take it to the dealership at that point. He shouldn't have expected the full amount knowing he didn't do his job and passing the blame off on GM. Be wary, Valpo. This was a stressful, frustrating and intimidating experience.

The best glass replacement experience I have ever had (actually, one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had, period). A rock bullseyed the strip of glass above my windshield on my Stinger. The part was expected to take over a week to arrive but arrived early on the Friday before Lee's would be closed a week for vacation. I fully expected and was perfectly ok with, waiting until they returned. However, they let me know that they would have it ready for me that day. Despite being very busy, they took the time to work my car in. And they did it exactly the right way; they finished up all the work they had scheduled for the day and did mine last so that none of their other customers would be inconvenienced. Lee himself stayed after normal business hours to make sure I was taken care of. The level of friendly and sincere customer service and Lee's knowledge and expertise are at a level I have never experienced before at any similar establishment. Lee and his staff went FAR beyond my expectations and are in a league of their own. Save yourself from stress and hassle. For any of your automotive glass needs, see Lee. UPDATE - April 2024 - Well, I needed Lee's service once more. Almost a year after my last experience and with a different car. On my way to get a paint scratch fixed, a semi kicked up a rock and cracked my windshield. And it was Lee to the rescue again. The knowledge, professionalism, and integrity that Lee and his staff have demonstrated is just on another level. I need to reiterate that my experience with Lee and his staff is simply the best customer experience I have ever had, bar none. If you experienced it, you know what I mean. If not, then you have been lucky enough to have never needed your window fixed. This may seem like a paid advertisement, but it is a true and honest review from the heart.
