T & M Car Parts

I originally took the car to have the timing belt replaced. As they are a part of the 'Good Garage…read moreScheme' I felt confident they were able to carry out the work. The day after collection I noticed an oil leak from the right hand side of the car, it appeared that all the oil had come out of the engine. I had only driven approximately 3 miles. Extremely concerned the car went back to the garage and the cam seals had popped out. After some reluctance the car had to be taken back again as when driving it completely died and wouldn't start. After investigation by RAC there was no compression in the engine indicating timing had gone and an oil leak from the right hand side exactly like the first leak...I gave T&M a chance to correct their work. T&M now said it had a faulty tensioner, (really... sure its not relevant to the initial issue that was advised ??) the car was 'fixed' but a couple of weeks ago the same thing happened again, the car suddenly cut out.(this time on the busy ring road) Believe it or not there was an oil leak, yes from the right hand side of the engine. It went straight back to the garage. The garage are now advising this isn't their issue and that the engine has seized due to lack of oil but this can not be the case as the oil is checked regularly! On each occasion of this happening I was given a complete different story. I have had the same oil leak from the right hand side on each occasion, plus the car died in the same manner on two of the occasions, each time I spoke to the garage there was a different reason as to why this was persistently failing. If the same symptoms are occurring, I can assume it is the same issue causing the same problem and I fail to see how this isn't the T&M's fault. My car now doesn't run... so whilst trying to prevent exactly that the work carried out by T&M has achieved that. I most certainly wouldn't recommend their 'expertise'.

Fantastic service. My partner and I were completely panicking trying to get a new alternator fitted…read moreon a completely dead Audi TT on a bank holiday weekend. Champion Auto Care were the only garage that were open all day AND said they would be able to source and fit the part that day. The manager also recommended a chap with a recovery van who could take us across town to his garage for a very competitive fee (we couldn't even bump start the car as the battery had nothing at all). The service was brilliant, very friendly and helpful, and the price was incredibly competitive (far cheaper than we feared we'd need to pay). Thanks for saving us Champion!!
Worst place ever. I would have given 0 rating if that was possible…read more They book you an appointment for repair and you turn up and they make you wait for half an hour and after asking them repeatedly "When are you going to look at my car", they tell you "we can't look at your car today you will have to come in tomorrow". When asked what is the point of appointment then ? the manager said "I don't have time for this" and walked away. Don't bother with these people! Look elsewhere.

Despite my car being an ancient rust bucket, the mechanics at this garage were very encouraging…read more They dealt with the problem I took it in for and were able to identify the 'funny rattle' that I couldn't work out. Apparently a lack of oil, which they topped up for me. 'Take it fer a run t'coast' , they suggested one sunny spring weekend, which is exactly what I was doing. 'It might be old but if you keep using it, it'll last'. It was great to hear something positive from this garage rather than the usual suggestions that I should just buy a new one!

I would not recommend this place. Please do not be mislead…read moreby the Deceptive reviews, clearly from new, false accounts. We arranged a viewing of a vehicle 2 weeks ago, that was advertised to have had a full mot and was ready to drive. This car on arrival had only 1 month remaining mot after being advertised with a full mot. I did request the most recent mot to look at the advisories, but it didn't seem available. On arrival of the viewing of the car, we immediately looked underneath of the car, as it was mentioned on the previous mot's, that the rear subframe and rear suspension components were corroded, there was an oil leak and that a wheel bearing was failing. On visual inspection of the rear underneath of the car you could immediately see that the exhaust was just hanging in place, the exhaust brackets had snapped from the corrosion, meaning the exhaust wasnt secure at the rear and the corrosion underneath the car was that bad I could pick away at spots around the car. We questioned the snapped exhaust brackets and we was told it would be fine to drive, this immediately put us off this vehicle. The man on the forecourt was then back and forth conversating with others inside the office, we was told a deposit could be left for the car and they then would get the work sorted on the car and rectify it for us, this is after being told on the phone previously they didn't accept deposits, etc. This was very misleading and a poor way to conduct business. This car clearly wasn't fit for the road, and was advertised as ready to drive, which it clearly wasn't. We was told that that a faulty wheel bearing the previous before the viewing was being replaced and rectified, we don't believe this work had been carried out as excuses where made that if we were to drive the car because of the new tyre it would sound loud on that side. The recent mot that was carried out 2 weeks after are viewing proves that the wheel bearing hasn't been replaced and rectified. The oil leak was also questioned and we was told it was just excess oil residue from previous servicing, there was now no oil leaks, this later mot again proves that there was still an oil leak. The most recent mot that was carried out 3 days ago, clearly this highlights that there was no mot 2 weeks ago. The new mot states that the faulty wheel bearing, and the oil leak have not been rectified after being told these issues had been resolved. Best advise is don't be blagged by these people.
