Evolution Grappling Academy is very well run, and well organized for kids and adults. The owner and head instructor is Mike Palladino, he has had tremendous success both as a competitor and a coach. The Academy is affiliated with Team Soul Fighters under Rafeal Formiga who is regarded as one of the best grapplers in the world. The gym is always very clean and comfotable and everyone is very friendly. A great environment for kids and beginners. I recently went to a seminar there with UFC legend Oleg Taktarov and I learned a tremendous amount. The Academy is also very affordable. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Sambo, Grappling, Fitness - you got everything you need right here. The instructor loves martial arts and fitness is an awesome grappler and loves teaching. The environment is very friendly and open....everyone leaves their ego at the door and enters into a community atmosphere. There is always an instructor around to help you through the moves, helping out with the small details. I dont think there is a school where you get as much individual attention as you do here. it's a great place to train martial arts and get in shape. it's very inviting atmosphere. My daugther was training at a MMA school(I'll leave nameless)for over 1 year, for that year I seen very low progress and pulled her out. The next day I did my researcher, found EGA, made the call, spoke to Mike, the next day I took my daugther to try it out. After 2 month of training she did her first tournament and won her first gold metal!! After that she didn't look back. An incredible gym! A beautiful 8,000 sq feet facility with accommodations for showers, locker rooms, water fountain and free weights. There's a large, free municipal parking lot located in the rear of the building. The Instruction is great! A solid split between Gi and No Gi classes. Mike is an awesome trainer, he has programs for kids, adults and women. He has women's fitness classes Mon.- Thurs. 6:30 until 7:30. I hate going to a regular gym so this is perfect for me he has lots of equipment to work with, things that you won't find in a regular gym. read more
