    Mushroom Mutter
    Daisy T.

Ordered my food to go. Customer service was great. My food was amazing. My favorite dish was the Mushroom mutter. I could have had another order of that. I ordered mango chutney since I like it on some of my vegetable pakora. The vegetable pakora comes with its own sauce I just did not order extra of it. I have had better. The vegetable samosa are delicious and have a sauce that it comes with that make it taste even better. But again did not get enough of it. Not enough sauce don't know if that is my fault or if the restaurant should provide more. P.S. I can't comment on the place since I did not eat at the location. But I will update my comment once I do. (Don't know how big or small the place is, or how clean the place is)

This is the first Indian spot I have tried in Eugene, so I'm not sure how it compares to the others. The food was good but it took a little while to come out. I got the bread with my dish but looking at the other costumers meals I would have gotten the rice. The restaurant was nice but the salad area was not open when I visited so that was a little disappointing.

Clockwise: Garlic naan, malai kofta, chicken tikka masala, chicken koorma. Loved the little dishes they serve them in- so cute!

Evergreen was a great place to meet up with friends for a dinner out! The staff was very friendly and helpful in suggesting dishes for us to order. We tried three different dishes- malai kofta, chicken tikka masala, chicken koorma- and everything was so delicious. The chicken koorma was my favorite. We also ordered the samosas as an appetizer and even though it only comes with two usually, they brought us three since there were three of us. That was so sweet of them! I would definitely be back to try more dishes based on the experience I had here. Delicious food and friendly service deserves 5 stars!

Food was delicious, service amazing! Waitress went above and beyond to accommodate our large group and get our food out to us quickly since we had another place to be. She was very thoughtful and helpful. I didn't catch her name but she deserves a raise!!

I can't say anything about the ambience or the service, because this was an online order. The food was quite good. Generous portions, and huge chunks of chicken! It was a little soupy though, and not as creamy as some others that I have tried. Good mango lassi, but not as creamy as some of the others that I have tried. Good restaurant otherwise! Not bad!

I'm giving it 5 stars for the food, but I wish the ambiance inside was better. It is nondescript and really quiet... like too quiet. But, back to the food. Their samosas are a favorite of mine, though they are a bit spicy. I like that they come with several types of sauces. Their saag paneer has a nice amount of cheese. I'm not a fan of restaurants that skimp on the paneer. The chicken Tikka masala and Tandori lamb kabobs were delicious and had a flavorful sauce. Evergreen is definitely our favorite Indian restaurant in Eugene.

Chicken Tikka Masala and this is what I couldn't finish

My new favorite go to for Indian food or when I need some spice and flavor but still crave comfort food. I just had the Chicken Tika Masala, so good, especially dipping the hand made flat bread in the sauce. I still think my last dish I got was my favorite the SAAG PANEER.. Can't wait to try the buffet on the weekends

We hadn't been to Evergreen Indian Restaurant since they moved the business to 7th St. But we are so glad that we came. We started off with an Onion Pankora appetizer. We had never tried it before. They call it a chickpea dumpling, but it is actually deep fried and tastes a lit like onion rings. They serve a nice big plate full, with three different sauces to dip it in. It was delicious! We both got the Chicken Tika Masala with rice and a side order of Naan (6 pieces). Both were excellent.

I love evergreen! Their samosas are super big and filling. Great flavor, and love their sauces. I always order their chicken tikka masala. I pretty consistently get the same medium heat level. Occasionally it's a little extra spicy, but I like it. Another fav is their saag paneer. Their paneer is nice an large. The greens in the saag have texture. Really nice and creamy. The veggie korma is also another favorite of mine. Nice sweet flavor and box of vegetables. The customer service is always on point and I miss their old location, but that is only because it was more convenient and festive. Not the most affordable place for one person with my wanting everything on the menu, but they do offer a complete dinner for less than $20. It is well worth every penny!

Enjoyed new location. More natural light and I believe the food improved. The family that runs Evergreen is always lovely.

Especially for a take-out environment, their portions are generous and the food is very tasty.

The pakora are still really delicious-- crispy, well-seasoned, with nice variety. The mint chutney tasted like spoiled raw onions to me. It's a *weird* fake color, like food coloring, with a fake mint flavor. There don't seem to be fresh herbs in there--certainly if it has any fresh mint or cilantro, it's not a flavor you can taste. The tamarind chutney is extremely sweet, like a jam, without any sour tamarind flavor. It's a shame to serve delicious pakora with such sauces (the mint one I found truly inedible). The curry dishes are ok, not much different from what we can make at home, and the cost per dish is quite high, close to $20/dish. The toilet in the women's bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned in months. The dining room is clean, though. Overall, my impression of this restaurant has dropped since it opened and I'm not sure I'd return except just for pakora. The place was almost empty on Friday night. I'm sad about this, since Eugene has so few Indian restaurants.

We ordered a veg pakora combo, butter chicken, palak paneer, and garlic naan. The palak paneer was requested to be medium spicy and it was adequate. There was only a couple of pieces of paneer though. We had the same complaint with the butter chicken in that there was only a small portion of chicken included. The garlic naan was not quite as garlicky as experienced elsewhere but it was definitely hot and freshly made and was delicious and sizable. The veg combo was delicious as were the tamarind and mint chutneys. The restaurant was clean and inviting but the bathrooms could have been cleaner.

It was chilly, so we waited inside of the public house building in the middle of all the food trucks. The building had a welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted by a friendly bartender at the bar, there are high ceilings, and dim lighting with natural light coming from the large windows. Music was playing, but wasn't too loud. Seemed like a nice spot to work from home. There were a few people who had their laptops plugged in at the tables. The crunch wraps were warm when they arrived, but still crunchy on the outside. I ordered my chicken crunch wrap extra spicy and it had a good amount of heat. The vegan crunch wrap was equally filling and flavorful. The marsala fries were a let down; they were the regular fries with a little drizzle of sauce and black sesame sprinkled on top. I wouldn't pay extra to order it again since it tasted just like the regular fries. We ordered the natural root beer in the public house which tasted refreshing and much better than the canned stuff you get at the grocery store. It paired well with the rich, creamy crunch wraps. Would come again!

Was hoping they had a non meat (I don't eat chicken, beef or pork) option but they had no shrimp or tofu. Suggest they add something like shrimp as an option and uses some spices. Fries were ok. Person taking the order seemed like they didn't enjoy their job.
