I was rudely approached by a salesman on the acoustic piano side of the store who asked the cursory salesman question, "Can I answer any questions?" I replied, "No. Just looking." His response was to step a bit closer with his hands in his pocket and his posture exaggeratingly taller giving me a major stare. I asked if this was okay? He then asks, "I know you, don't I?" I said, "Nope. Not from here." His response as he is making me that much more uncomfortable with his glaring stare, "Oh, I know you! You are in here all the time!" He the stares me up and down staring at my shoes and then slowly moving up until he makes eye contact once again. I felt so uncomfortable by this point that I walked out of the store. Here is my suggestion to the owners of this music shop: When a customer walks into your store treat them with respect. The alternative: The 7 to 10Gs the customer was planning on spending on a pro keyboard arranger, workstation and podcast studio equipment will not ever be spent in your store.

However,…read morenow that I've been taking my child for several months I realize that this program is an incredible value. I would gladly pay 50 or 70% more for these classes. The interaction in class and the books, musical instruments and CDs you take home are worth the price. The Kindermusik program is for kids up to age 7. We had no problem finding a class time for my toddler with other kids her age. My child was incredibly shy and had a lot of difficulty in social situations. For many of the early classes she would just sit there without participating. Now she's more active in the class and I'm impressed to see that she seems songs even from those early lessons where I didn't think she was paying any attention or participating! Every 4 weeks Miss Judy gives a new curriculum with new musical toys and new songs. She has several classes over the school year. She doesn't offer as much over the summer. Parking is ok. There's a large lot near the building, but only a few spots right in front of the building. The building is small but adequate for the classes. She even has a piano in there. I have tried guitar lessons off and on for almost…read more40 years and usually just packed the guitar back away after a month or two of them due to total frustration. Not so with lessons from Bobby Dale Harris here. The cost of a 30 minute lesson is about $35 and most times if there is not another student booked after your time the lessons run over time a bit. He listened to what I want to learn to play and hit the ground running. Unlike others I've had he does teach it from a theory basics and the real difference is he hits you with the theory and then very practical why and how you use it. When it's all going over my head he can read it and says it's exposure to the material repeatedly that will cause it to fall in place trust him and we back up and see where that confusion is and go from there. I have had some real ahha moments when pieces of it do crash into place. Only two months in and I'm looking forward to the next lesson each week instead of dreading them due to confusion like before. Unlike other guitar teachers I've had he does not spend all the lesson time showing off like the last one I tried. He's the real deal but when he's knocking notes out he telling you what he's doing and how it applies to what you are working on or will be the next thing you will be working on. I can't stress enough how rare this really is. Wish I had run into him years ago. Much more organized than my YouTube confusion.... Give him a try!
