Attention all betrothed persons in and around Greensboro:…read more Whether you are planning a big wedding or a small wedding, an outdoor wedding or an indoor wedding, a traditional wedding or a Star Wars wedding, you need to hire a wedding coordinator. But not just any wedding coordinator. Your wedding coordinator needs to be responsible, responsive, resourceful, respectful, reassuring, flexible, knowledgable, kind, and easy to work with. Since not all wedding coordinators fit this description, you need to contact Coordinated Events. My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Summer to plan and perfect our wedding. The list of descriptors above does not do justice to the service Summer provided. Contractually, she was our "Day-Of Coordinator," but in reality, she helped us out from Day 1. Always available to talk on the phone or respond to an email, Summer made sure that we had all our bases covered going into the big day. She assured us that everything would work out beautifully, and we believed her. Sure enough, it did! One of the greatest gifts a wedding coordinator can offer is peace of mind, and when you're planning a wedding, that peace is well worth the price. At Coordinated Events, that peace comes at a very reasonable price. Our experience with Summer was overwhelmingly positive: with her help, our wedding was everything we had hoped it would be and so much more!

It's not hard to run a good business if you put your passion in it, you will see perfection. It times where life is hard, he knew what was needed and how to make it happen. I appreciate that. I order flowers and a plant for my Queens graduation and it was perfect! Got there on time and was just what I ordered. For the price, you are getting a steal!!!! The flowers were gorgeous and my Queen loved them! I got her an Ivy too and it was perfect size not including the price but that that made it even more legit! Healthy flowers and plants. They know what they are doing! Florist shows in their efforts. 5 stars legitimately through and through. Everyone fux with this place, I suggest you do too. I have been in 3 weddings and actively competed in pageants when I was younger. I say this to…read morequalify the following review based on my experience in at least 2 dozen bridal/dress boutiques and with the fittings for the aforementioned purposes. The Wedding Galleria made me feel extremely awkward and unwelcome. I say unwelcome in the sense that when I was there I felt very uncomfortable because of the actions of the sales associate. When I entered the associate smiled and was helpful finding the bridesmaid dress I needed to order. However, when I tried it on to determine what size I needed to order, I did not feel that she focused on how to resolve the issues with the way the dress fit me. I instead I felt as if she pointed out every flaw on my body and blamed me for not fitting the dress, rather than the fact that the dress I was obligated to buy was made for a woman much taller than myself. I felt that the associate could have been much more helpful in pointing out that alterations to the dress would rectify the fact that my height caused the sample size to fit me poorly; however, I sincerely felt that her only solution to the issues was to actively insist that I needed a larger size. The customer service in this institution is lacking and I feel that all paying clients should be treated with the a high level of respect and service, unfortunately I was not.

My sister and I are both going to be bridesmaids in a wedding next fall, and the bride picked out…read morethe designer she wanted us to wear but left the style up to us. We were excited to find that this store carried the designer and were looking forward to making a day out of wedding preparations as we are not from Greensboro and would be driving a couple of hours to get to the store. First my sister called the store a week in advance to see if we would need an appointment. The girl she spoke with on the phone was very rude and for some reason didn't seem to understand that the two of us were looking for our own dresses without the rest of the bridesmaids. She kept asking "well where are you ACTUALLY going to get your dresses?" in a condescending tone as though we were wasting her time. I don't know, maybe commission off of two bridesmaids dresses instead of a whole wedding of bridesmaids didn't appeal to her. Anyways after an unpleasant conversation, the employee made it clear that Saturdays were VERY busy and that we would definitely need to make an appointment if we were planning on coming in on a Saturday. We went ahead and made an appointment for 4:30 the following Saturday. We would have liked to have an earlier appointment, but the employee said that was the only appointment they had left, and as she had also said they were very busy on Saturdays we understood and were happy to get that appointment. Fast forward a week and we've made the drive to Greensboro and show up at the store to try on some dresses. We walk in at about 4:10 and know that we're early for our appointment so we're prepared to wait. A girl comes out to greet us (in the empty lobby....really there was one other customer in the whole store and she was just flipping through a book of wedding invitations) and we tell her that we have a 4:30 appointment to try on bridesmaid dresses. We tell her what designer we are looking for and she points us towards a rack of dresses. We start looking through everything and are disappointed to find that they only have about 15% of the styles from the designer's website. Oh well, we drove all the way there for the appointment so we're ready to make the most of it. I pick out about three dresses to try on and no employee is around, so I walk to the front of the shop to ask to girl we spoke with before where a fitting room is. She looks at me like I'm an idiot and says "umm it's too late to try on dresses." At this point it is 4:20. That's 10 minutes before the appointment we made. We tell her that we made an appointment to try on dresses for 4:30 and she tells us no, the last appointment to try on dresses is 3:30. We tell her that we definitely made an appointment for 4:30. We would have gladly taken a 3:30 appointment when scheduling on the phone, in fact we would have preferred it, but the employee we spoke with told us that 4:30 was the only thing available. The girl in the store was incredibly rude and was acting like we were dumb for thinking that we were going to be able to try on dresses. Honestly, how long did they think it would take someone to try on three dresses? They really thought it would take me more than 40 minutes? Frankly the girl seemed lazy and just like she didn't want to be bothered with us. She goes into the back "to get the appointment book to show us that appointments after 3:30 can't try on dresses" (which we really didn't care about and never asked to see the book) and while she's gone the one other customer in the store looked at us and started commented on how rude the sales lady had been to us. She then told us that the bridal mart in Burlington carries the same designer of dress we were looking for and even said "I know they carry it because I had to go there to get one because the people here were no help to me". I was glad to hear that we weren't the only people who had had problems with the sales staff at this store! Anyways my sister and I are both feeling unwelcome and like we want to get out of the store ASAP, and then the sales lady finally comes out from the back room. She tells us that it's fine if we want to try on dresses but by that time we are more than ready to leave and walk out. I just can't imagine what inspires such terrible customer service! When making the appointment on the phone it was clear that we were coming to try on bridesmaid dresses, not just to stare at them. If trying on dresses with a 4:30 appointment wasn't possible they should have let us know that on the phone. Oh well, we will be taking the advice of the other customer and will be finding our dresses elsewhere! We will also be telling our friends to avoid the store, which is too bad for them because two of the other bridesmaids in this wedding are from Greensboro and if we had had a pleasant experience at this store we would have recommended that they order their dresses through the store as well, but now we'll tell them to avoid this store at all costs!

Villa de l'Amour

LONG overdue review on the Villa, but hopefully well worth it. I met the owner of the Villa,…read moreBillie, at a wedding show. Immediately, my now husband and I were impressed. They were new venue vendors and eager to work with us despite our UNIQUE wedding (midnight wedding on July 4). Billie and I met at the Villa and it was love at first sight. Such a beautiful building. At the time, the outdoor grounds were unimpressive due to the season and the fact they had literally just opened. Also, the outdoor terrace had these HUGE/MASSIVE umbrella stands. I affectionately called them transformers. They were hideous and oddly, different colors for the awning. We discussed remove prior to the wedding and Billie said that would happen. But once inside...SOLD! There is so much space inside of the Villa. I was actually overwhelmed with the space options because the more space equates to more decorating ($$$). Lol! But, that was one of the main reasons to book...so many options. Throughout the planning process, Billie would allow me to come with my decorator and bridesmaids whenever I needed too (and never rushed us). I was thrilled to be her first contract. That process was very efficient too. I was nervous since we were both 'green', but the contract signing and review was absolutely professionally done. Billie was always very complimentary of my wedding ideas and became a social media fan (thank you Billie for the shout out on your social media when I appeared on Say Yes to the Dress). Now, do you remember those 'Transformers'?. It was getting closer to the wedding and they were still there. We had placed in the contract they would be removed. I spoke to Billie and she reassured me they would be removed and they eventually were. They were so MASSIVE she had to hire a certain piece of equipment to remove those umbrellas. Thank God she did. Rehearsal was an hour (we did go over...I think this is the one time Billie was a little agitated with timing ... shoot, I was too because I really like to respect rules and other people's time.) I would suggest Brides take advantage of purchasing extra time for this. An hour just isn't long enough...not even for the most prepared and I PROMISE you, I was very prepared. It was the wedding party who wasn't. Oh, I did have one minor issue, but it was also resolved. Billie had enhance the place a little (which I knew she was since the venue was new), but unfortunately the new additions did not meet my decor expectations. Billie had a few HUGE planters placed outside under the area that was to be my 'arch'. I am not a greenery person, so I was thankful when Billie agreed to use a hand truck and have them hidden from sight on the day of the wedding. I think each planter was well over 100 pounds. They were moved to the 'side'...but they still were visible in my pictures, however. No biggie though. Also, on the inside, I had paid for our initials to be uplighted on the wall in the reception area. Unfortunately, Billie had just added a new chalkboard wall in the room. Oddly, the chalkboard wall is not centered (for good reason) along the wall. Looks beautiful but again, it did not go with my year long plans of Urban Chic which included my already paid for monogram uplighting. There is a GOD however, because there was nothing I could do about the removal of this chalkboard wall as it was now a permanent fixture. My decorator and I decided to hang white, sheet curtains in front of it so my monogram uplighting could still be centered alongside the wall and not look weird adjacent to am empty chalkboard wall. Fast forward to the day of...my uplighting guy breaks my monogram uplighting. Sigh! So, that chalkboard wall that I hated became my blessing. Billie's Mother was on-hand helping out and hears about my broken uplight. She takes immediate action and replicated my monogram design on that chalkboard wall. When I tell you I was SURPRISED and full of joy at this beautiful and QUICK gesture by her Mom. I tell everyone to this day that this is EXACTLY what customer service should look and feel like. She did an AMAZING job! Pics to come! Day of the wedding was absolutely phenomenal. Billie let us in hours in advance and my decorator was there since morning setting up. Other vendors (cake, lighting, dj, photogs, etc.) described coming to set up easy as pie, as well. The bridal suite now had the CUTEST flower wall which makes for the BEST photo backdrop ever. Billie was around the entire time. She just made my day (should I say night) go so smoothly. She gave us ample time to clean up afterwards and even pitched in a little. Billie is amazeballs. She is such a sweet soul; easy to work with; and professional. I pray that her business is growing and from the looks of her social media; business is REALLY good. To anyone looking for a beautiful venue...the 'House of Love' will surely meet every expectation.
