Clarksville Midwifery helped me have my best birth experience at home. My first two births were at…read morea hospital. Each birth had its challenges. Mostly stress from hospital staff's desired procedures and their need to quicken things. From my first visit with Clarksville Midwifery to my last, it has been a great experience. They listen, take their time with you, provide you with all information, do everything they can to give you the birth you want if it's possible. Fortunately, I had no issues that would prevent a home birth. I started having inconsistent contractions at night when I was 40 weeks 1 day. I called the midwives the next morning and one came out to check on me. I wasn't in active labor yet, but my body was getting close. a few hours later I began to have more regular contractions. My midwife came out again and I was in active labor. Within the next hour my whole birth team was at my house. (I live in Hopkinsville Ky) I had full control of my birth and had the water birth I wanted. My midwife came the next day for our 24 hr check up. It was so great to be home with my family. I've had a fully medicated birth with my first baby and that recovery was awful. I was in the hospital for three days and so tired and in pain with medication. After my home birth, I was less tired and the pain was so much less. My body was allowed to take its time to be ready for birth. I did not have to have any pain medication after my home birth. I highly recommend Clarksville Midwifery! Alison C.

All staff involved are an absolute pleasure to work with, and there wasn't a single question I had throughout my latest pregnancy that they couldn't answer to my complete satisfaction. Their online portal is great, their personalities are stellar, and their love of motherhood and babies permeates the room. This wasn't my first pregnancy but it was certainly my most assured, comfortable, and confident one yet. I will, without a doubt, be going to them FIRST for any future children I may be blessed with. Prenatal care, home birth, and post partum care- you cannot go wrong with Clarksville midwifery! 12/10 Recommend!! (Though, back labor I cannot recommend hahahaha)

I spent several weeks with a Bladder bag, long-term pain and inability to do normal everyday life things due to this botched surgery. In 2021 , the bladder repair ruptured! I became extremely I'll very quickly and no one could figure out why at first. By the time someone had figured out what was going on , I was septic and my kidneys had began shutting down . After emergency life saving surgery at another hospital by a truly knowledgeable surgeon , I then spent almost 2 weeks in the hospital meanwhile missing Christmas with my children . Once I was able to go home, I was bedridden with a bladder bag for several weeks and then unable to do daily life activities for over 6 months . To this day , I am still greatly affected and undergoing treatment for the botched surgery performed by Dr. William McIntosh. Please do not use him for your treatment!!!

If you have zero questions or anxiety during your pregnancy, and are cool with going up to 42 weeks before delivery, then by all means use her. I've never felt more gaslit by a medical doctor. She was very rude and would roll her eyes at me when I asked questions. I begged to be induced at 39/40 weeks because my sister was in Texas and had just had a baby with severe medical issues. I really was anxious about this and wanted my parents to be there. She refused and said "don't you care more about your own baby than your sisters?" Lo and behold, I ended up giving birth to my son the exact day that my niece passed away. After finding this out she refused to see me at my 6 week checkup. If you are at the Helton Dr OBGYN and you want a doctor who actually listens and respects their patients, use Dr. Zackey. I used him for my second pregnancy and it was night and day different.

Here at MDAnderson I've received 12 weeks of chemo and 1 week of Doxorubicin with 3 more to follow. Dr Chappell prescribed Paxil to me in 1994. The only daily medication I take. The doctors here told me I should replace Paxil with another anxiety med through my home doctor as the two meds together may cause heart problems. Dr Zacky told me to just continue the Paxil and would NOT substitute. After over 50 years association with this office, I will go to another doctor more in tune to what is best for my health.
