I started seeing Dr. Dahl about six years ago for a chronic neck problem. My days are spent hunched over a computer, but with her help, my neck rarely 'goes out' anymore. She's sensitive to her patients concerns and needs, and I just can't recommend her enough. If you're wary of chiropractic, she'll help educate you and then use the treatment you're most comfortable with. Personally, I like a good cracking, but she'll often use the activator (think tiny pogo stick) when I'm particularly out of whack, a rare occurrence these days. But recently, a case of impingement syndrome (aka 'bursitis') in my left shoulder flared up badly. Honestly, it didn't even occur to me to call Dr. Dahl. Instead I went to my GP, who referred me to a physical therapist. We went through all the exercises it would take to get me pain-free, and I went home with a handful of diagrams and extreme pain. Fast forward a month or so later when I went in for a routine adjustment, and I was still in tremendous pain, even though I was faithfully performing the exercises. Dr. Dahl asked if she could try something. I told her I was in a lot of pain so to be gentle -- this concerned her because she knows I'm a 'push through the pain' kind of gal -- and she assured me it wouldn't hurt. Wow! She explained in an easy-to-understand way that, essentially, a tendon in my shoulder normally lives in a 'groove', but it had popped out. She taught me a technique to pop it back in whenever it hurt. As I got into my car in her parking lot, I moved my arm in a way that would have sent shooting pain up in for the previous month or so, but instead I felt...nothing. I couldn't believe it had worked so fast! Within hours, I'd used the technique several times and found I had more range of motion than I'd had since the flare up. I'm now pain-free, and can't thank Dr. Dahl enough for quickly diagnosing the problem, and teaching me how to fix it myself. Living with chronic pain is exhausting. Dr. Eva Dahl is getting me back on track, again! I've known Dr. Dahl for many years and have deep gratitude for her ability to whip me back into shape after yet, another round of "Mis-alignment!" Her style of chiropractic is creative and focused on postural Alignment. She is creative and attuned to what my body needs each day! That's great because I see her three times a week! Six weeks ago, my neck, back and hips were in a grid lock of painful proportions. I'm still seeing the doc, yet I am able to exercise again and am in less pain! I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 11 years ago and one of the symptoms I've been living with for five years was bowel and bladder incontinence. I have had severe back and neck pain for over 6 years, which was made worse by a car accident 2 years ago. I've been seeing Dr. Dahl for about half a year. First twice a week then once a week. My pain level has gone done by half. At the beginning of everyday I was in pain, and by the end of the day I was in agony. I contacted Dr Dahl immediately after my lower back seized up while at work. I went from being mobile to unable to walk in a matter of moments. Even sitting down was a difficult task. She was able to see me immediately for a consultation and some emergency relief treatment and at the end of that first session i was able to walk, slow and with limited ability, but still walk which was much more than I could do previously. Dr Dahl is the first chiropractor I have know to take an X-ray of the effected area, which I believe gave me a greater insight into the severity of my injury and the shape of my spine. Along with the treatment, holistic remedies and a few days of rest I have become a lot more mobile and the pain and discomfort has rapidly reduced. After 2 sessions I have noticed a huge difference and I look forward to the day when I am pain free. I began going to Dr. Dahl and the beginning of the year (2013) since my insurance added chiropractic care. I jumped right on the ban wagon, and boy oh boy WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! I am only able to go weekly but let me tell you.. My improvement has been remarkable! Not only is Dr. Dahl VERY easy to talk to, non judgemental and a sheer pleasure, her adjustments are EXCELLENT. I had a minor pain in my hip, and because I thought Medicare would cover treatment, I went to see Dr. Dahl. However, because I was now a Kaiser patient, Medicare wouldn't cover. Since I went along w/Dr. Dahl's plan of having me come in twice a week and I was having to pay for my own treatment, she said I could get Care Credit which would allow me to receive treatment at that time, and have up to 18 mo to pay it back w/o interest. Nevertheless, I should have been monitoring her charges. Dr. Dahl gave me two laser treatments for my hip on top of the adjustment, charged me for both the laser and adjustment; and I later found out from my doctor that the pain was caused by a burr and couldn't be remedied by laser or chiropractic. Then she ordered some little pads as she said one of my legs was 3/8" shorter than the other; however, I didn't ask what she was charging for this tiny piece of foam before using it, and later found out I'd been charged $30 for something I could have gotten for $5. And finally, I discovered I'd used up the entire $500 long before I figured it would be finished and was given an accounting, which is when I discovered these overcharges. On top of everything else, I'd been charged $40 for a back cushion I never bought, tho when I confronted her w/it, I was reimbursed. I guess the lesson is that if you take out a loan for treatment, make sure of what the charges are before accepting any supplementary treatments or supplies. Otherwise, your loan will be used up on things you don't need, or could get somewhere else for less, and you won't have $ left for treatment. I went to see Dr. Dahl because I had been fighting a week long battle with a stiff neck that had occurred in my sleep and, after a week, had escalated to intense pain in my head and down into my shoulders. She used the perfect balance of skill and compassion, gently adjusted me, put me on ice, gave me a natural anti-inflammatory and the improvement was almost instantaneous. I had been going to Dr. Dahl for a while with great results, but when I was 4 and a half months pregnant I was in a car accident and hurt my neck. Not being able to take anything for the pain, I was really relieved that Dr. Dahl was able to treat me so well. With frequent adjustments and plenty of icing, I healed in a matter of months. She got a special pregnancy pillow so she could continue to adjust me until a few weeks before I delivered. By that time, my neck was almost completely better and I am sure that her treatment helped with a lot of typical pregnancy aches and pains as well. I am very grateful for the great care she gave me through such a stressful and painful time.
