I also needed some carpentry work done, and I was fortunate because they employ their own carpenters. After the in-person consultation, the office staff provided me with a detailed and inclusive estimate which was very fair. The carpenters, Frank and Brian, arrived on the stated date and performed their part of the assignment quickly and flawlessly. Two weeks later, the painters, Andrew and Jose, arrived as stated n the contract. I can't say enough about the perfectionism of this duo. I had many cabinets and moldings requiring fine, detailed work. I've had a tremendous amount of work done in my home in the past, but their work was unparalleled. I was impressed with Andrew's building of an enclosed plastic room within my house to sand and spray the cabinets. There was never any dust or mess at the end of the day. It was honestly amazing. My cabinets are silky and look brand new. I pretty much knew what colors I wanted to use, but "Two Brothers" provides a color specialist who did make a house call. She gave me some good ideas, and if you don't know what colors to choose, she'd be great for someone who was undecided. Andrew and Jose completed my entire kitchen and back entry quickly and to perfection. Not only were they superb as painters, they were polite, unobtrusive and easy to work with. When we took ownership of the house, the walls were in rough shape-lots of nail and anchor holes. He prepped and patched the walls ahead of starting and did a great job. Kyle kept in constant contact leading up to the date we scheduled. On the morning of our service, Kyle showed up promptly and worked diligently to complete his task. He was neat, pleasant, professional and expert. After day 1, Kyle has finished the first coat on all of the areas needed. The following week, he returned to complete his work. Touted a reputable and insured company, I asked that they cover the plumber's bill and deductible on my homeowners via email to Kendra this morning. Ten minutes ago, Nate Levine called my office screaming at me and saying that he is not covering anything and that my pipe was moldy anyway......that the plumber's bill was crazy and the cost should have been $25.00. I hung up on him. Never have I dealt with such an unprofessional business owner whose employees (decent painters btw) have made an incurable mistake. Highly recommend anybody but Levine.

We did our research on Levine prior to hiring them and were confident in our choice. However, the…read morejob was done poorly with no attention to detail. Lines were not sharp; door handles and locks were ruined from not being taped. Parts were quoted and never done - no refund on those pieces that weren't done. The supervisor had to come back on his day off and spent a good portion of his day fixing the parts we were not happy with. There were spots not caulked properly or not all. Sloppy, at best. The crew couldn't speak English, walked in on my son while he was in the bathroom and each worker just about blew out our plumbing every morning. Absolute nightmare. I have told as many people as possible not to use Levine and I have backed up my word with photos.

We called and one the workers showed up on time within a few days to take down info and discuss our remodel and painting work. We asked how long it would take for a proposal because we were having two others done at the same time. He said a week to a week and a half. Seventeen days and two phone calls later and still no proposal. Why not? We have no clue. Maybe the job was too small for them, but they could have just said that instead of stringing us along with promises and excuses. When a contractor starts off badly it's never a good sign of things to come. We went with another contractor who is much more professional and attentive.

Man, the quality of work is insane and Anthony even exceeded timeline by nearly a week. I am so impressed by the craftsmanship, care, and attention to detail all around by both Anthony as well as the entire crew. What's nice about General Painting Company is that Anthony is a hands-on owner who works each job with his team and ensures to be there and inspect the work every step of the way. One other nice surprise was how clean they left the house after working. Many workers and companies do a rough sweep but the amount of vacuuming and cleanup that was done was very thorough. I also appreciated the floor coverings in a hallway since as we exit winter we are in the peak of salt/ice/dirt/mud season. As part of my cabinet painting process Anthony took all cabinet doors and drawer faces off site and completely removed any/all old paint and installed a brand new factory spray finish that is WAY better than the original. Once the crew painted my boxes/frames they installed all new hardware and hinges (premium with soft close design), made sure all doors were re-leveled and re-gapped, and installed new knobs that I purchased. They even took the care to install new door bumpers. The old cabinets had peeling paint, sagging doors, uneven gaps, had a thud when closing, buildup from many years of use and many other quirks that old cabinets would have. What I have now is basically brand new kitchen cabinets, for a fraction of the price of doing a kitchen renovation. Well worth the money and so glad I hired Anthony. Would recommend them to anyone for exterior or interior work.

Absolutely first rate!!…read more We hired Anthony in October of 2022 to paint the first two floors of our house. This was a challenging job. The ceilings are 11 ft high and there is a significant amount of architectural detail and trim. Everything from the ceilings to the baseboards required sanding, priming and multiple coats of paint particularly in those rooms that previously had very dark paint. Anthony reviewed all of the rooms during our initial visit. He took care to describe the kind of care each room would need. Different kinds of primers were used depending upon the kind of surface and previous paint job to ensure the best outcomes. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. We were particularly impressed with the level of care and attention Anthony paid to the woodwork. As is expected with a 150 year old house, not every prior painting job had been done to professional standards. We had peeling paint, chipped paint and paint with heavy brush marks. Anthony and his team made the woodwork shine! Two-thirds of the way through the job, my spouse and I were so pleased with the quality of the work that we asked Anthony to paint additional rooms in the basement. The results were terrific and we have no regrets about increasing the paint budget. Anthony provided a comprehensive quote prior to starting the job. When I made a couple of change requests mid-painting, Anthony was upfront and reasonable about the costs. Thank goodness!! I absolutely hated the colors I chose for the downstairs bathroom and asked for the entire room to be repainted in radically different colors. Anthony was too polite to laugh or roll his eyes. He just said, "Sure, we can do that!" Anthony also did a BEAUTIFUL job adding delicate gold touches to a fireplace I asked him to paint. We are thrilled with that too and everyone comments on how beautiful it is when they visit. Most importantly, Anthony has a really nice crew and he is on site to supervise them. Given that we live with our children, I worked from home initially until I was comfortable with the crew. Very quickly, I felt comfortable enough to go back to the office. I had no hesitation about any of Anthony's crew working in the house while we were at work and in fact quite came to enjoy seeing them when I returned at the end of the day. Anthony had the crew at our house six days a week for well over a month. They worked hard to ensure we would have the house back for the holidays. I would recommend General Painting and Anthony in particular without hesitation. We will be hiring Anthony again!!!
