I would love to give mad props to the employees that worked last Friday during the first day of the Lightbox Expo. There were so many people, and I managed to get my order in less than 20 minutes in spite of it all! Incredibly impressive considering the amount of customers there were in the storefront! I got a tomato and pesto sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! Exactly what I needed before the start of the convention. Thank you so very much!

    Cinnamon Roll

I used to be such a big fan of Europane. It been a few years since I had been there. Thought I would try their cinnamon roll. OMG the worst cinnamon roll I've ever had. Don't waste your money. It truly did not even look like a cinnamon roll. It had some kind of caramel sauce on top. Why? It didn't even taste like there was any cinnamon in it. Hopefully their other pastries are better !!!

This place used to be so cutting edge and unique with all sorts of special pastries and breads and now it's just a pared down shell of itself. Still an attractive place to get standard coffee house fare but the one-of-a-kind nature is gone.

Really bad food. We ordered this for delivery so maybe it all dried out on the drive over? The cinnamon roll was one of the worst ever; super dry and tough. The egg salad was really unappetizing; cold, congealed into a ball and somehow dry as well. We got hash browns and it's like they didn't cook them - we ended up cooking them ourselves.

Went biking and needed lunch. Decided to try this place out (heard a lot about it and had their macarons before). There is a bike rack that held about 4 bikes. The outdoor dining space looks nice (but it was too hot for today's weather) but we ate inside the nice AC room. If you order more than $20, you get a free 12oz coffee. Ordered the chorizo burrito and Mediterranean chicken sandwich with tomato soup. The chorizo burrito was good but wished they had more than Chulula hot sauce. The chicken sandwich had great flavor and wasn't dry at all! The orange wedge was a good extra. After eating, you leave the dishes in a bin near the door. It's a nice environment and great for studying or working. Would come back!

Cute little coffee shop. It's a little bit on the pricey side (I got the granola and greek yogurt combo and it came out to about $12, but it was a very generous portion of both). It does get pretty busy and the day I went, there was only one person working the register and making the food, so I do recommend some patience is in order (and luckily for me, everyone was very patient that morning!). There is street parking, but you can also park across the street inside Paseo Colorado. I like the ambiance of it and I look forward going back.

Enjoyed a relaxing tasty and filling breakfast. Freshly made granola and Greek yogurt was very filling. The granola was slightly sweet, which is perfect for my pallet. Hubby enjoyed sandwich on freshly made ciabatta bread and brewed coffee. Price was very reasonable, service and staff were very cordial and went out of their way to give me a sample of the granola prior to ordering. Hats off to the Team, thank you for your thoughtfulness and making us feel cared for.

First timer here... looking for a change from Starbucks. Tried the chai tea latte. At first sip it was unexpected taste as I'm used to how sweet it is at Starbucks compared to here. The nore I drank the more I liked it. Here they don't use the chai syrup. Instead, they use the little tea bags from Stash. Also had the bacon egg drop (it's just n egg sandwich) on sourdough bread. It was good.

It's been a very long time since I've visited Europane, I remember their delicious open-faced egg salad sandwich and it was just as I remembered when we ordered it today.  Get it with the brioche toasted buns and your mouth will thank you! We also share an avocado toast on a sourdough bread. It literally had a spinach salad on top of it! Can it get any healthier?  It wasn't crowded at all when we came around Noonish on a Sunday.  But it was quite bright and sunny inside the restaurant and the shade does not pull down. So we opted to sit outside in the shade.  The waitress brought our food out a few minutes later and it was great with my cafe au lait.  Will definitely be back.

I guess this is the spot for coffee and pastries in Pasadena. It was a cute shop with a millennial-friendly aesthetic. Brick walls, exposed ceiling, and lots of hanging lights. Case full of beautiful pastries, house chocolates and merchandise for sale. The line moved quickly enough, and service was friendly and reasonably fast. A table opened up for us when we needed it, and we sat and enjoyed our coffee and pastry. I got a salted honey latte, which was delicious. I'm not a habitual coffee drinker, and this felt like a special indulgent little treat. I'm not a pastry person either, but the kougin amann was fantastic, rich and buttery and shatteringly crispy. I also got a chocolate croissant to go for my husband, who said it was really good. We sat for maybe half an hour, and when we left, someone was there to take our spot, and we had to squeeze past the line that was coming through the door. I don't like coffee and sweets enough to do all that on a regular basis, but I enjoyed my visit to Artisanal Goods and would recommend it if you want top notch pastries in Pasadena.

I was able to find parking nearby luckily and that was probably the hardest part. However, it was also really hot that day so I came prepared with a big hat because I saw the line wrap around the building. I was able to catch it when I was at a lull and the line moved pretty quick. A couple of other items that looked really good that I need to try. I know there is some seasonal items that sell out really quick to keep an eye out of. The chocolate croissant was great and I'll have to wait to try some of their other items next time which I also hear is amazing. The dining area isn't the biggest popular places. It's probably not the easiest to find a spot to sit and enjoy unless you time it correctly.

Not only is it ranked #1 in LA but it goes above and beyond the call of duty. Look at the photo! You can't even see the roll! The icing game is strong! The dough, fluffy. First, the good: the cinnamon roll was moist and fluffy all the way through. No dry cinnamon rolls here! The service was also very friendly. The not so good: my first bite, which somehow managed to not have much icing, gave me a clear taste of the dough. It reminded me a lot of canned biscuit dough. I prefer a thicker icing, this one was quite runny and very sweet without any nuance to the flavor. Also, I really wanted to try the peach cobbler cupcakes but they didn't have any cupcakes in stock at all, only a few cake slices. We went around noon, and I hoped they would have plenty of options around that time :/ Unfortunately I've had much better cinnamon rolls elsewhere in LA. It's still tasty because, well, it's a cinnamon roll... but not sure I'll be back unless it's to try the cake or cupcakes.

Their New York rolls were full, rich, flaky, and flavorful. Unfortunately, over the past year, the quality has gone completely downhill. The croissants are now dry, overcooked, and tasteless , even early in the morning. It honestly feels like they changed the butter because the flavor is gone. The pastries look beautiful for Instagram, but the taste no longer matches the image. People probably come for the terrace and the "Paris" aesthetic, but nothing about these pastries feels authentically French anymore. The owner is Iranian and honestly should stick to Iranian pastries instead of trying to market this place as a French pâtisserie, because it is nowhere close to the quality or refinement of a real French pastry shop. On top of that, customer service is terrible. The employees are rude, impatient, and act bothered when you ask simple questions like the price of a croissants ; especially since prices are not clearly displayed. Paying almost $7 for a croissant or New York roll, and $10+ for many pastries, would maybe be acceptable with excellent quality and service... but definitely not with dry pastries and rude staff. Parking is another nightmare. There's no dedicated parking lot, so you have to park on San Fernando, pay for parking, and parking enforcement is constantly circling waiting to ticket people the second your time expires. This was my last visit. Save your money and go elsewhere for pastries -- honestly, even Whole Foods does better at this point.
