We'd happened to see a baby shark at the pier earlier that day and started singing baby shark. So I did a quick design of some sharks for my forearm and my daughter decided to get one on hers as well. Chris Kime is a gifted artist and quickly turned both of our concepts into reality. I googled almost all the shops up and down Harbor St. I read reviewes and looked at tons of art. I kept coming back to Custom Concepts, what drew me in outside of the art that I saw was the the aftercare that they provided on site, spoke volumes-to me because it is certainly true. I had so many SO many friends to tell me what I needed to do. I called once I had to leaves a message, I also sent a email. I was emailed back and I was called by Jai who is amazing to work with. She was very informative and so easy to talk with, and let me not forget professional in a way that was friendly, she never lost sight that she was working even though we were all enjoying each other's company. I discussed with Jay over the phone what I wanted and who I wanted to my art. This was for both my wife and I. I set up my consultation date. I was called for a consult a day early because Terry wanted to get a feel of what we wanted. While talking to him the artist that I really wanted, I was told that he was not going to be there due to his birthday. Well he just happened to stop by while I was there. Yay... now there was the one hiccup that almost made the whole appointment go south! Someone there changed my appointment time. You know if I made an appointment 3 weeks out I know when it is. So Jai looks at the time and say we have you down for 3:00.. stop punk the breaks no it's at 1:30 and I told TERRY it was at 1:30 when he said to us I think it's 2:30. Nope it's 1:30. That all of the was going south really fast with my wife. I asked is Mike here, because Terry was the artist but wasn't there yet. Ok here is the best part Mike from Atlanta is new to Custom Concept but he has over 20 years experience in the art. I wanted him anyway as I said earlier just from looking at his work on his Instagram page. I have the the Ankh which is designed in many designs many of them. I wanted the Ankh which was the most Original form. I searched until I found the exact one that I wanted. He drew it exactly as I showed him and the placement is perfect. Mike knew that I was nervous, he talked for a while to calm my nerves and it worked like a charm. Yeah I was a solider.. Mike wore gloves, his room was very very clean as well as the shop. After visiting a few of the shops we decided that we would wait to return to Atlanta for the tats...lol. They were talking CRAZY when it came to pricing #nahson While in Panama City for lunch we passed Andy's Pirate Tattoo...decided to stop but didn't realize that they didn't open until noon...so we came back after we finished lunch. It's a small shop but we were not interested in decor or the size of the shop, we were solely interested in getting great work done at a fair price. Our experience was exceptional from the second we walked through the door! James greeted us w a smile and helped us all the way through the process! My friend got her tatt done that day and mine the day after...James is a VERY talented artist and is also a perfectionist, just the traits we were looking for! He's a pretty cool dude too! They are honest and if they feel they can't get what you want in your tattoo, they will recommend somewhere for you. Back to the building, the building is owned by the shop so there is no rent the artists are paying. This causes the prices to be very reasonable compared to other shops. Highly recommend a consultation with either Matt or James. They have taken care of me and some of my friends and family.
