Starting I never felt like a confident or sexy person because I always saw myself as cute, not sexy. Haha but dancing with Oleg I felt more comfortable with being "sexy" because if you have good technique, the sexiness will come naturally. At first, I wasn't sure if we could even pull off dance lessons just because that isn't our forte. However, after initially speaking with Oleg, I knew we could pull it off. He was very easy to talk to and even helped select the final song. Our dance choice was the Viennese Waltz and it was amazing. The 5 lessons were just enough and his instructions were very clear and helpful. He helped shape the 3 min. dance so it was appropriate to the space/venue and to our comfort level. To this day, I can't believe my bf and I pulled it off! We were so nervous but everyone said it looked like Dancing with the Stars. The dance is so special and I'll remember it forever thanks to Oleg's help. If you have any doubt in choosing him, feel free to direct message me. He is absolutely amazing and so patient that I would definitely recommend him to anyone. Oh , don't forget to check in!

We bought the 7 private session package for our wedding last summer…read more My husband and I are not the best dancers, and John worked very patiently and diligently with us. He customized a dance that was impressive, doable, and perfectly matched our song. Getting the lessons was my husband's idea; I thought that it was cute, but the first dance at our wedding was the furthest thing from my mind during planning. I told him I didn't really care if we did something formal or if we just swayed.... I remember even saying that no one remembers the first dance! I was so wrong though! On our wedding day, we did the dance John prepared for us. We are still far from perfect dancers, but we hit the routine pretty well and our guests went crazy! We were hearing people cheering and shouting throughout our entire dance, and at the end when we hit the dip, the place went nuts! We had several guests rush us after the dance to tell us how amazing it was. We still hear from people how much they loved it or that that was their favorite part. We were also was recently sent a video of the dance, and was great getting to not just hear the cheering but to also see people's smiling, enthralled faces! We've also inspired others to prepare for their dance too. Of course you are always safe with a sway dance, and of course your guests will think you look great! But if you want a really memorable moment, I totally recommend NorthStar and John!

She was so patient and such a good teacher at explaining everything and starting with the basics. Our lessons every week were the highlight of our week and were so fun, and I am so sad that they are over now. For the actual dance, it came out so beautiful and I love how she took our input when choreographing it and adding touches that felt very much like us. On the actual wedding day, the dance was gorgeous and one of the highlights of our reception. She worked so much with us on lifts and dips which made the dance so fun. From the first exploratory session, Amy took great care to truly understand what we wanted from our first dance and what level of involvement we wanted from her (dance lessons, song editing, choreography, etc.). We decided to go with a 10 lesson package for a great price! We looked forward to our dance lesson with Amy every week and were so sad when our lessons came to an end. As for our wedding dance, we left everyone stunned with a graceful Rumba dance with beautiful lifts, dips, and spins to the song Falling Like the Stars by James Arthur. People couldn't believe the dance we'd pulled off after just 10 lessons. My husband's parents were convinced that it wasn't their son executing flawless footwork.

Wish our first dance went as well as our practices but the actual day was our DJ's mistake for playing the wrong version :( So tip to everyone who's doing a choreographed first dance...make sure to double check with your DJ on the song and the version that's going to be played one day or a few hours before your performance!!!! So that they can play the right version! Otherwise it'd be harder to recover from certain songs. With that being said, doing a choreographed dance is really fun.
