Lydia had very gentle touch but was able to clean out my coffee/tea/red wine stained teeth. I dozed off during my last visit while she was cleaning, which has never happened before as I normally have PTSD episodes while in a dentist's chair. Dr. Kim repaired my bonding/filling today. They looked great and I can immediately sense the positive difference regarding the sensitivity around my gum line. Furthermore, I was in and out a little over half a hour with no discomfort. Dr. Kim's office is about a 5- to10- minute drive from my office. Not only they have their own parking lot (which is a rare thing in Santa Monica - I usually Uber to my doctors appointments because the parking at SaMo usually costs more than round trip Uber rides), everyone on the staff is fantastic. The receptionist is super patient working with me to find a good time for me to come in for the first time. Most of the business in this building don't have very obvious signage, so it's easier to go by the suite number (#240) to find it. Almost every door looks the same! The dentistry itself is bright, super clean, and the equipment looks just like new. Everyone who helped me during my first visit was so polite and genuinely nice. The great customer service even extended to the weeks before my visit, when they helped me verify my insurance and pick a suitable appointment date/time. My x-ray, checkup, and cleaning went very well. Dr. Tran was very kind, explained everything to me clearly, and didn't push any treatments on me. The dental hygienists were also very caring and polite and gentle! That said, Billy, the front desk manager, has been really great about staying in close contact with me about openings and helping me get in when I really needed it. I went home and brought them back and they were able to get their checkups X-rays and some work done. They did an excellent job with all of us. They even stayed a little bit past five o'clock to finish everything, which I really appreciated. Jennifer did an awesome job, along with her husband. Janet stayed after and was incredibly patient and kind with my daughter and my sons. She was very thorough, took her time, and made them feel comfortable. She even got my daughter to pinky swear with her, which tells you how good she is with kids. The whole staff has great energy. You can tell they are smiling even through their masks.
