Using a CT Scanner, Dr. Estrabillo uncovered hidden infection that had eaten away a large amount of bone in two separate locations. Infection was in areas with no pain receptors and I remained totally unaware that serious dental issues existed. After this infection was removed, a computerized bite analysis machine was used to discover that my bite was seriously misaligned. The right side of my mouth registered over 2000 pound of pressure. This test was displayed on a monitor and I was able to see results register on the colour coded bar graph displayed. The correctiion took minutes as Dr. Estrabillo used the same technique my other dentists have used (black paper and filing down fillings to fit). The only difference was that Dr. Estrabillo was able to insert the tester into my mouth to check his own adjustments until my bite registered proper colour codes on the monitor. Interesting to note that following these two dental procedures, my chronic neck pain also disappeared. Kudos to Dr. Estrabillo for investing considerable time and energy to educate himself in the application of these leading-edge technologies. I well appreciate that I could be dead now had it not been for Dr. Estrabillo's investigative measures. I still see my regualar dentist for check-ups and teeth cleaning but I also drive to Ancaster to check in with Dr. Estrabillo periodically. By the way, Dr. Estrabillo's costs are actually a titch less than my dentist in Toronto.

I thought the procedure was going to be long and nasty. Believe it or not, it was actually quite enjoyable. Unlike other dentists, he explained what he was going to do before each step. I felt much more comfortable when I knew what exactly the doctor was doing to me. The procedure was done neatly and painlessly before I even realized. When I felt painful in my gum around that tooth 6mth later, I called the office and the receptionist was very nice to book me a consult on the same day. The assistant took the X-Ray free of charge. Dr Partnoy explained my X-ray thoroughly and confirmed my bone healed well. He advised me to get a crown instead of the permanent fillings, which was the same reason as what I expected. I was referred to Endodontic Specialists by Dr. Robert Feeley of Downtown Dental Centre for a root canal. I simply can't recommend Dr. Glen Partnoy highly enough. He was very professional, straight and to the point. He explained the diagnosis thoroughly in terms I could understand and prepared me for the procedure. All in all it took less than an hour. Dr. Partnoy prescribed me pain meds but honestly I have felt no post-op discomfort of any kind. At then end of the day my insurer Manulife only designated eligible $934 out of $1355 for the root canal fee. They only pay the prevailing rate for a dentist to perform root canals as opposed to a specialist. For me I will be going to Endodontic Specialists everytime--it's worth it!
