Not only did she treat my initial problems of ingrowing and sore nails BUT she offered me the option to have my toe nails rebuilt with gel/UV treatment (not dissimilar to the treatment you can have on your finger nails) and I was amazed at the results. The finished nails look so life like and with a coat of nail polish you really cannot tell the difference! For the first time in over a decade and a half I can wear open toe shoes and not feel embarrassed about my toes and what other would think about them. Not only that but I am pain free! Having relocated to Warwickshire, I chose to go to Ms Harrison-Ray solely because she was local. She identified the problem as a cluster of verrucas, discussed the condition in a professional manner and gave me options for treatment. After several sessions, the verrucas have now been eliminated and I am walking without hobbling again. I would highly recommend her as professionally competent, reasonably priced, (almost) always extremely punctual and last but not least, having a friendly, bubbly personality that normally one would not expect in podiatry ... attending the sessions was always a pleasure.

The truth is that nice heels and running don't lead to pretty feet; more like little hooves. The hooves were starting to get a bit sore and uncomfortable with sore and rough spots that I couldn't shift by myself. I've bemoaned the state of UK pedicures since moving here, because the North American ones involved a bit of foot maintenance, whereas here it's just someone painting your toenails with your foot in their lap. I made my appointment for Dr Foot via email, and they called to confirm. There were also text and email reminders. I hate calling to make appointments because I'll forget immediately, so things in writing are good! I was seen at 6pm on Wednesday, and followed the instructions to go to the Custard Factory reception and let them know I was for Dr Foot. Mr Hussain, the podiatrist, arrived a little later to collect me. He was incredibly personable, so I felt a little better about my gnarled feet and snow white legs. He took a history, had a look at my feet, and set to work. We had a great chat while it was going on, and I forgot that I actually hate people doing things to my feet. He's meticulous and spent plenty of time getting rid of all the sore bits. I was given aftercare advice, and some cushioning items to keep from undoing the good work. Payment was easy - cash or card, with receipt texted. Especially liked: he has invented his own range of foot cream, great view, relaxing atmosphere, incredibly knowledgeable, my feet felt SO much better, didn't try to upsell or tell me I needed a million treatments. He also knew what size foot I am just by looking, like a magician. Disliked: nothing I'll be heading back to make sure the little footsies are ready for sandal season!
