Nom, nom: is this what you think when you talk and hear about gardening?
A Garden which you can eat? This sounds interesting to me.
I met this woman when I had a meeting at Humboldt University a few days ago and committed immediately to join the next workshop learning more about cooking with herbs and blossoms.
The garden where I joined a 2-hour-workshop is located in Berlin-Kladow. This event meant to be an amazing adventure to me even as a natural born country girl in Middle Germany, grown up on a farm during my first years, experienced in working with wheat fields, wineyards and herbs as self catering as well. Besides lot of animals of each kind :))
We were a small group with 8 participants and some of them did not cook so far. The course started to learn about typical regional herbs and flowers adding to a salad or dessert to make it look pretty. On top we learned to fry patties as an option for our own burger.
First we were introduced to some herbs like wild garlic, ground Ivy, nettles, watercress, ground-elder and much more. After theory we went on to practice as chefs :))
Katja, owner and host of this 158 year old garden explained each detail in a very friendly and supportive way. We all felt the pulse pledge likely.
I experienced an amazing taste and stepped into an innovation which is as old as mankind. Lucky me! :)
So as the crocus, the daffodil, the wild garlic and asparagus matured up to grow in their beauty and size too long in the dark , so man has gone long time in darkness of his unconsciousness of his life.
Period is going to end in the spring of humanity I would describe this way.
If you live in a place where you might step out into a front yard vegetable growing is frowned upon, try to become a self caterer. I suppose you'll get followers for real :))
Highly recommended. read more
