My husband and I needed the small photographs (infantil) required by Mexican Immigration to use on our residency cards.
A young woman took our photos and charged us 140 pesos for each set. She did not give us a receipt. When I mentioned the fact that the photos were very light, she blamed our fair skin and light (gray) hair.
When we gave the photos to the immigration officer, she rejected them for two reasons. First they were overexposed (too much bright light) and second, they were printed on the wrong type of paper. The paper the woman at España Digital used was gloss. Immigration requires matte paper.
As a result, we had to go to another store to get our photos taken correctly -- for a fraction of the cost! I returned to España Digital to speak with the owner or manager but was discouraged from doing so. I believe that the young woman may have her own business making money on the side. In any case, I strongly recommend not using España Digital for any official photos. If you do any business with them at all, be sure to get a receipt! read more
