Stumbled onto this small but rather engrossing museum focused on telecommunications while wandering around the main shopping street of Calle Via Grand on a nice Sunday morning. Decided to pop in on impulse and found a really engaging little place.
There's a security bag scan, but you don't have to pay for admission. There was a lovely exhibition on the fourth floor focused on woman photographers who took a month long trip down the river Danube, inspired by a similar journey by photographer Inge Morath. Beautiful show.
There was another interesting show on the third floor revolving around Frankenstein and Dr Moreau but unfortunately all the captions were in Spanish.
Fun bit is on the second floor where you get to see the evolution of telecommunications tech from one of the earliest patented telegraph machine to telephone exchanges, rechargeable batteries and the first mobile phones. There are English captions for this exhibit.
There's a basic cafe on the mezzanine where there's also a small loo for the differently abled.
To recap, fun little place with some seriously retro telecoms gadgets. Worth running the risk of non-captioning in English for a slow browse if you're in the neighbourhood. read more
