This church is conveniently located across form the Don Fernando hotel in Alvero Portugal. The church was built in 1480 and altered inside in 1573. It is a late gothic style architecture in this region of Alentejo, and served as the model for other churches that were built in the region. It has many robust construction features based on buttresses and many spires. The inside is showing signs of deterioration but overall it is in fair condition up to an including the walls, pews, and paintings.
Entrance is feee and there are seasonal hours open to the public. This time of year it is open from 10:00 to noon, and then 1:00pm to 3 pm.
