Customer service is not her strong suit. Asked for info…read moreabout my policy and was told she was waiting on corporate to get back to her after not hearing back from her for a week. Then when I reviewed my policy and found the info for myself, I sent her a question that has still not been answered a year later. Need a new agent!

I called and spoke with Becky and made an appointment to meet at her office to sign up for car and…read morehome insurance. When I did, the office smelled like stinky, wet dog. I'm guessing because she takes her dogs to work with her. In short, I gave her my exact VIN numbers and signed up while her one dog farted under the desk. Nice and professional! It smelled like a sewer. I received my insurance information in the mail for my car and my wife's. I was listed as the owner on both vehicles. Wrong! I called to have this corrected. That was the 1st problem. I failed to notice that my old car was the car that was insured and not my current car. Keep in mind I gave the correct VIN numbers originally in person. Insurance companies have access to way too much information. That is apparently how this happened. This was the 2nd problem that I didn't notice until later when I had a chip in my windshield repaired. I called to have this corrected immediately. Meanwhile the state sends me a letter that I have to send back (costing me a stamp for a problem I didn't create) stating that I have insurance on my car, because they received a letter that my car insurance was cancelled. Not by my doing it wasn't. Once Farmers gets the correct vehicle listed on my insurance card (after much hassle), I get a bill in the mail for an increase in cost for the car that should have been on the insurance to begin with (the audacity). Not only was that, but my discount for signing up removed! This was their mistake! Not mine! I called Becky to discuss these issues. I got voicemail and left a message. My call was never returned. I called a 2nd time and left a message. My call was never returned. I may have even called a 3rd time. I don't recall. It doesn't matter. My call was never returned. I talked to Farmers directly and asked them to contact Becky and have her contact me. That was fruitless as well. I had enough and switched insurance companies. My current company contacted Farmers to cancel my insurance stating that they are now insuring me. Farmers never did. I had to call and inquire with Farmers after never receiving refunds and found my policies were still active. Farmers couldn't let me go without a final present though. I received my prorated refunds and two letters from the state came in the mail as well. What would you guess they were? Letters from the state asking me to provide information that my wife's vehicle and mine were insured! Why did I get them? Farmers sent the state information saying my insurance was cancelled on my vehicles. They knew I switched insurance companies and had insurance through my new company. My new insurance company even requested that they cancel the policies on my behalf. Why would they do this? Now I have to waste stamps again. It's not the money. It's the principle. I tried to save about $400 and it cost me way more than that in aggravation, stress and hours of wasted time...including having to comment about this awful experience. I guess it comes down to getting what you pay for. BEWARE of Farmers!
