MELISSA LEE messed up my account and ended up canceling my policy so I drove around for a month with no insurance and had no idea until I paid my next bill and it got refunded due to my policy being cancelled a MONTH earlier. Then she did not cancel my renters insurance as requested so I got charged for that then got charged late fees that have still not been refunded over two weeks later. Chris did not even try to reinstate my account when I called him, granted it was 4:30 on a Friday he made no attempt to help me just told me it *might* be sometime next week even though the multiple customer service reps I spoke to that day told me it could be done the same day (someone was ready for the weekend). Even if he did reinstate I would have had to pay back the money that I paid that then got refunded due to them canceling my policy so they were going to make me pay for services I did not technically receive. So there I was still driving around with no insurance due to no fault of my own because my only other two options were to either go with a different company and be charged a higher rate due to my "lapse of insurance" that was cause by them and not accurate or open a new policy with allstate and pay 3 times what I was paying before due to the lapse of insurance that was CAUSED BY THE SAME COMPANY!!! They said they had no way to override it which is complete BS they are just greedy. I could keep going, There's more to it than that but that is the gist of my experience with this company and mainly CHRISTOPHER DUMS agency. Worst part of this is I went on a roadtrip with a car full of people and it makes me sick to think of what I would be dealing with right now had there been any kind of accident during our trip or any other day for that matter. I would be completely screwed and the complete lack of empathy within this company is just disgusting tbh. They really did not care or show any kind of remorse for their mistakes. Thought I was supposed to be in good hands Chris..? For the record- It did not just lapse due to me neglecting to pay. It lapsed because Melissa screwed up. We were changing my payment due date from the 6th to the 18th which I was told would not be a problem and that she would suspend auto pay for the 6th and I could call in the payment on the 18th which I did and everything went fine with my August payment but then something got messed up in September probably because she was on Vacation and NEGLECTED TO PUT AN AWAY MESSAGE ON HER EMAIL so I had no clue what was going on while I was emailing her about the renters insurance charge and she obviously neglected to do something before she went on vacation to make it so our arrangement from August would go through like it was supposed to which likely is what caused my policy to lapse. Even when I called and spoke to Chris he did nothing to help me get the money back that they charged me for the renters insurance that Melissa neglected to cancel.
