I was nervous since it was the first surgery I've ever had but Dr. Swanson and the Southern Hills nurses that took care of me did their best to make me feel comfortable. I was in a horrible accident and for about 2 of those months my face and jaw kept swelling. I went to several specialists and no one knew what was wrong with me until I went to Dr. Swanson. As soon as he saw me he knew I needed my jaw reattached. He assured me he can help and immediately scheduled me for surgery. The office staff in both offices have been very attentive to my needs. I was forced to this doctor by my insurance, and had to jump through hoops to get a referral code that I was originally told the primary dentist was going to setup. Waited an hour in the waiting room, then another 15mins alone in the exam room. The doctor came in, poked in my mouth for less than 10 seconds, didn't even introduce himself, and said someone from the referral department will call to schedule surgery. All of this could have been done on the phone and by looking at the xrays that were sent. 3 weeks go by with no contact, so I call the office, but have to leave a message. I get a call the next day to schedule. I can only schedule for Thursdays, which is fine (I guess, would have rather done M-W). Get it "scheduled". They tell me it's on Thursday, but I will be called the day before to get the time. The Monday beforehand I get a call with all sorts of questions and asking who will driving me, and I say no one, as I was just going to take a taxi/Uber as my family is out of town and I don't have many friends in the area. They say I have to have a companion. I ask my one friend if they can, and they ask me for a time.... Which I can't give them.... Because I don't know it. Call to try a get a definitive time... Dr. Glyman's office says to call surgery center... Call them and they tell me to call Dr Glyman's... I Finally just cancelled it because no one can give me any accurate information. Dr Swanson has incredible bedside manner. He knew I was nervous and comforted me the entire time. I had 2 teeth extracted under sedation. Would highly recommend if you are nervous about dentists/dental procedures. The only complaint I have is I had to keep following up with the surgery coordinator. It took her 2 1/2 weeks-3 weeks to get back to me with authorization and told me 3 days before surgery my insurance didn't cover anesthesia, which was a high price. Dr. Swanson is Wonderful. I have had several appointments with him, each time he has been very efficient & thorough. I was recommended to him by my primary doctor RE: TMJ issues. On my first visit he asked lots of questions, did a thorough exam and discovered that I would need surgery to stop any further damage. My jaw had become unbearable, with less and less resistance to eat on the right side. I LIKE my food!! ;) Today, Dr. Swanson performed my surgery and although he was very busy as many surgeons are, he came in and talked with me to explain the process. The worst medical service I've experienced. Before I talk about how no one should go to this office for any services, Leslie is the only one that was helpful in trying to resolve my billing issue. There is a wait time for minimum 1.5 hours after you get checked in. First appointment, Dr. Swanson walked in pleasantly and put his gloves on without practicing hand hygiene. The nurse assisting also did not practice hand hygiene before putting her gloves on. No hand washing sink or hand sanitizer is in the room where I was being examined in. Dr. Swanson looks in my mouth and confirms that I have a tongue tie and recommends a frenulectomy, frenulopasty and splints (mouth guards). He's ready to walk out without explanation of the procedures so I ask. He says it's just a cut with a scalpel and couple of stitches; no cauterization. Are they melt-away stitches or do I need them removed? Nurse answers "probably melt-away" as she escorts me out. I get a phone call a week later with the cost of the procedure after the office finds out about my insurance coverage. I get quoted $1072 for the frenulectomy after insurance covers 85%. Frenuloplasty is not covered so it's all out of pocket which is also over $1000. Splint that was ordered is also hundreds of dollars but my insurance covers 85% so it was quoted $90 out of pocket. I book the surgery and ask for a call back so I can ask if it's necessary to have the frenuloplasty since my insurance company doesn't cover it. No call back. Day of the surgery, after waiting 1.5 hours, Dr. Swanson comes into do the surgery in the same exam room without practicing hand hygiene in the room again. I'm too stunned to even say anything because I'm trying to ask if I need the frenuloplasty is necessary and how will I pay for it. Dr. Swanson says that he'll do the frenuloplasty and not charge for as he numbs my tongue and is gone for another 30 minutes. He opens the door with his hands, puts on gloves without washing his hands or sanitizing. He cuts my frenulum and gives me an extra stitch because "I'm bleeding too much". I pay $1072 and go home with directions for post care for wisdom tooth removal. No antibiotics or pain medication. I start driving home across town and I'm in so much agony I can barely drive. I luckily didn't develop an infection but having a real hard time managing pain. I speak to another specialist two days later who reported that charging for stitches after cutting someone is like charging for an open heart surgery and charging another fee for closing the chest! That's what I thought! No wonder my insurance said no, to paying for frenuloplasty. I come back to follow up and they said they didn't charge me for the splint but they charged me for the frenuloplasty that Dr. Swanson generously "gave a discount" on. I ask for my refund back, they said they can't do that and starting looking into my file. Come to find out, my frenulectomy was only $700 without insurance but charged me $1072 for something they couldn't explain. I should of been charged $105 (after my insurance coverage) for my surgery but I was charged $1072 and they asked to take $90 more for my splint which has been delayed because the factory machine is broken. I am reassured by Leslie that the money will be sent in a check within a MONTH since it's sent at the end of the month. I finally get seen by Dr. Swanson who was defensive and dismissed my frustration about the billing. They he precedes to put gloves on without practicing hand hygiene again! I ask him this time to sanitize his hands, he says that he washed it before he came in, I said he touched the door. He begrudgingly goes out to sanitize just to touch the door knob again and put on the gloves he originally touched before he went to sanitize his hands. I told him it's painful and it's tighter than it was before I had the surgery. He said I need to stretch it. I asked how??? He shows me with his tongue; no handouts or directions. I am really upset at this point and no longer wanting further service so Leslie helps me cancel my splint order. I waited 3 weeks for my refund check in the mail. I called to ask for my refund status which was supposed to be approved my the manager which no one had ask her to even to initiate the refund process. They said it will be initiated so I ask for a call back from the manager. I wait, no call back so I kept calling back. No call backs so left several messages. I finally get through Leslie who said that the approving office manager went to the hospital that day so no one can help me. I ask Leslie to have billing call me, nothing. I called the next day, both office managers are unavailable. Leslie said she'll send messages that I want my check or the payments will be retracted and they will have to bill me for the correct amount. Haven't heard back. read more

First letter of advice before you think of booking here, DONT! I'm really torn about leaving a review I have been here not only for myself but for my daughter who had her wisdom teeth out. I had to have major oral surgery due to an infection that got into my jaw. Here is just a glimpse of the process... Because of insurance, I was directed here, it took almost three weeks of trying to get ahold of someone at the office to set up my first consultation. (No free consultations here, which is fine if the office and doctors are worth it.... but with the way the receptionist and scheduler answered and treats you, you would think you have the plague, the disgusted tone and attitude on the phone and in the office, they are "short winded" and just annoyed by any question) That is one of my frustrations with this office. If you call, the options are strange and do not allow a choice for existing patients, red flag... perhaps patients do not go back? And so after leaving a few messages and waiting for a return call and being told I would need the consultation , I made the appointment for myself and my friend. I was told I would need major help and reconstruction. And so the surgery was scheduled... at the surgery center is where I met the second of the two surgeons, I had met Glyman first and he is not the one that was performing the surgery. No worries, just thought it off as I felt more of a number and a tally for the day instead of a patient scared for what was about to take place. After surgery, I was in so much pain, My jaw and nerves were on fire, I had warned them of my nerves in my mouth are extremely sensitive and unusual and he assured me to relax and that they would make sure I was comfortable before and after. Well, I never even saw the doctor again after on the day of surgery, but the anesthesiologist came to discuss and told me that the center was closing and if the pain wouldn't got away they would have to check me into the hospital and he didn't have time to sit to wait.... I opted to leave knowing the pain would go away a few days later and I would just go in if it got even worse. But that I knew I also had my own pain meds at home. Well, after a week of recovery I went in for my follow up, this after trying to reach the office as I hadn't stopped bleeding and I could feel a partial tooth that had broken off and that he hadn't addressed. I went in two days later, the soonest he could see me, and he right there tried to numb me which wasn't possible, but I told him to just pull. It was awful. Afterwards, he told me to not worry, but he won't charge me. Now I need to go back in as it has been a year and I have found out that the broken tooth he had to pull out Last min, still has a partial root in it, and I am being told that I will have to pay for a consultation again!!!!! All this after he messed up and I need the tooth that was supposed to be taken care of in the first place is still giving me problems since it is still partially there. But when I call in, the staff is just awful. I make it a rule to always always be kind and friendly on the phone, two reasons, 1) the person on the other line could be having a bad day and they don't need me getting mad at them for something that wasn't their fault. And 2) I want help and not to be passed off as a snooty B. Every person, every time I call in, I get treated with the same attitude. Like I don't matter or they don't have time for me. And how dare I call in to try to get help. So this last time when she told me that I would have to pay for a consultation, to have something taken care of that the surgeon messed up on, I simply said, I will just find another oral surgeon that is willing to take care of me from start to finish and not dismiss me. Honestly, this office is horribly run, the doctors seem like they don't really know the patients, and the staff is either overworked or for some reason have an attitude they are better then everyone that comes in. When I was checking out, there were three ladies at the back office making fun of two other patients. So unprofessional. I My daughter had all four of her wisdom teeth out, and other then an infection, she didn't have adverse issues other then being treated poorly by the staff....how hard is it to treat the people who pay you with decency and kindness. Regardless of the situation. I will not Recommend this office to anyone, and I will warn you to do your research as I did not, and if I had, I would have found that my dental insurance covers 7 other surgeons just in the area. So please take the time to go and visit with the surgeons, know who will be doing your surgery, and if the office staff is rude or won't take the time for you, then know that your experience will be similar to mine. Our Family's Journey. Our son was first diagnosed with a cleft lip twenty two weeks in utero. The news was shocking but rest assured my doctors from High Risk took care of my son and I, she referred me to Dr. Swanson of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates of Nevada. As soon as our hands were free we Googled, Yelped, and Facebooked. By all the STARS above me, has both of his offices blown my family and I away. The staff, nurses, and Dr. Swanson himself were professional, detailed and understanding. Any question or concerns (Slight Confusion) I was met with an answer. Waiting isn't so bad in either office in my personal opinion, staff is super friendly and both offices are clean and well taken care of. Dr. Swanson was wonderful!! Very quick and efficient, and I felt like I could trust him with my surgery. All 4 of my wisdom teeth needed to be extracted, and I was having a great deal of anxiety about it as this was my first "surgery". When I went for my consultation, Dr. Swanson was very laid back, and made it seem like a simple and seamless process. On the day of my surgery, they estimated an hour for it, but from the time I went back to the time I walked out was no more than 30 minutes! I was lightly sedated, never felt pain, and only recall feeling pressure as he took out each tooth. To clarify, I was fortunate that none of mine were impacted. The only interesting piece to mine is that the roots of my top two were curved vs. straight like normal since my mouth didn't have enough space when they grew in. The nurses in the room were wonderful, kept checking on me, and one even stroked my forehead and hair to help me calm down while I was being sedated. Healing has been a breeze, and I was cleared to go back to eating normal foods and off of the pain killers within a week of having the surgery (did take the antibiotic for the full term as recommended, of course). While the office staff and scheduling leave a little to be desired in way of customer service - and appointments didn't start exactly on time - I highly recommend Dr. Swanson for getting your wisdom teeth removed! read more

My oldest daughter got her wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Swanson & we really liked him. That was about three years ago, & that's the only reason I gave three stars. I really like the doctor. I give one star to the office. Fast forward to 2017- My other daughter needs her wisdom teeth extracted. It was a no-brainer to choose this office again. I called to schedule an appointment & was told by the office staff I need a referral (I didn't need one for my other daughter & had no problems with the front office last time). I said my insurance doesn't require a referral & I didn't need one last time. The lady on the phone said they needed it "So the dr knows which teeth to remove." Well lady, I said wisdom teeth. She also said they need an x-ray. Don't they normally do a pano? I called our dentist & told them the oral surgeon needed a referral. They normally refer to a different oral surgeon (who I wasn't crazy about when we did a consultation) & won't refer to oral surgeons they don't know. She also told me that the only x-rays they have are bite wing & that won't help the surgeon. I Called back oral surgeon, told them my dentist won't refer because they aren't familiar with their office/the doctors (fair enough in case something were to go wrong) & they have no X-rays that would help them. Again I'm told I MUST have a referral and X-rays, I said my dentist only refers to doctors they know and I do not have X-rays. I was told to have the referral written out to "whoever" & it didn't matter as long as I had one. Huh?! So, I called my dentist back, told them I just needed any old referral to any doctor they wanted to write on it. The receptionist at my dentist's office called bullshit on all of this, but agreed to fax one over to them. She said she'd fax it over, and I should call them & make sure they got it, then call her back. Again I called Dr. Glyman/Swanson's office- I said that my dentist had faxed over a referral as they requested & could they check to see if they got it. I'd like to schedule an appointment. The lady on the phone put me on hold, came back on & said, "Yes, we have it but it's sort of cut off & blurry so it won't work, and you didn't send X-rays." OMG. At this point I said, "Obviously you DO NOT want my business!" I had called back & forth at least six times. At this point the lady was completely rude. I told her I understood that she was just doing her job but this was unbelievable! I will take my business elsewhere. The staff in the front is amazing, very nice and informative. Check in was pretty quick. I recommend u down load the paper work before u go into the office u can either send it right to the office e if u fill it out on line or print it fill it out and take it w/u it always makes ur visit go faster. Got into appt. on time and Dr Swanson came into room pretty fast. I liked the fact that he was honest about my daughter holding off until she turns 17 or even18 to get her wisdom teeth out. My son has to get a tooth that erupted from the roof of his mouth behind not too far behind his top front teeth. I know, right? Eek. From checking in, getting the first consultation, to returning and getting the tooth actually removed....Dr. Swanson and his team were very professional and friendly. I really noticed how well he was with my children. Not just my one son who was the patient, but loved how he interacted with my other 3. It really felt warm and in a way...felt like more than just a number. I really appreciate that as a mother sweating and lugging in 4 young boys. Their lobby is very clean with couch seating. There is a separate waiting room for those who are waiting on whoever they are with to finish up with whatever it is they are getting done. I really like this flow and it really helps to not make their lobby area look extra busy because there is a distinction. Ample bathrooms and the rooms are a good size. At a doctor's office there is ALWAYS a chance of having to deal with the waiting game. Operation day for my son it was slightly busy so we did have to wait for a bit...but nothing that went on to make me start running profanity in my head. So that's a good thing! Dr. Swanson said at consultation it'll be a quick procedure. He did not lie. It really went quick and smooth. Post op and my son healed with no problems at all! My husband has to get a tooth surgically extracted, and I specifically requested from his dental office to give us a referral to Dr. Swanson's since we have no qualms about returning. The only thing I did experience that an irrational person would gripe about is there was a serious game of phone tag with their scheduler. Basically got to the point where we just started confirming things via voicemail rather than actually verbally discussing it on the same line. Lol. But are timing just never worked to catch each other so really...not a big deal as that wasn't anyone's fault. Everyone gets busy. Anyway, definitely recommend. Ample parking, clean, professional, and friendly....sold! Office and rooms are stroller friendly. Just don't show up with those twin type side-by-side strollers...and there isn't a waiting room designated for children to play in case you are wondering. Enjoy! read more

Real big mistake on taking my teeth out by this place first off I had to call St Rose to check on surgery no orders they called this place for me day before surgery got a time 3pm to do it 40 min procedure I get there at 2pm all signed in ready to go so now the wait it's 8pm my ride is upset I started to get loud where is this guy so unprofessional to show up this late and he left unfinished work 2 roots still there & never removed the tors & even with antibiotics still got an infection had to see my general dentist for better antibiotics file a grievance against this place will know by 11/ 4 /18 what is end result will not go back there insurance will find me a competent Surgeon to finish & fix what's wrong can't wear my new teeth will be a month now so they sit unused & my Hyper baric treatments were cut by 5 should have been 20 why because he took to long to get it done insurance would not renew it so I lost 5 hypers Beware this place for you may fair worse than I read more

So, I came here for none other than to get my wisdom teeth removed. AHH!! I have big teeth, so I knew my wisdom teeth were going to be a pain to get out, and they were. First off, the office is super clean. I appreciate this because if I'm coming here for surgery, I expect the place to be really clean and sanitized. The wait time to be called was a little long. They're not messing around when they tell you to arrive early. So I get checked in and tell them the last time I ate. Apparently, I was give the wrong information of the hours not to eat before, which is life threatening as I found out from the doctor. So we waited until the time was exactly 8 hours. After my surgery, I was taken out and the doctor told me just what I had predicted-my teeth were massive and hard to get out. The workers at the front were really nice and they called me a few days after to see how I was holding up. I was completely swollen for almost a week, and in pain, but I expected that. When I went for my follow up, Dr. Swanson remembered me and of course my teeth. He was really informative before and after my surgery. I highly recommend him. I have 2 more wisdom teeth, but they were not reachable, and I'm glad he didn't dig in to try to get them. The people at this office are all very nice and don't rush you to sign paperwork. If I could rate 0 I would. This was the worst Doctor experience I had in my life. And was not even a medical issue. His receptionists are impolite and fight all the time between them leaving patients waiting for long time. The Doctor is always late (maybe overbooked) and it's impossible to call the office. An outdated system keeps you going from side to side and they never answer, if you leave them a message good luck to have a response. So if you have an option just save yourself some trouble and go somewhere else. read more

Amazing service!! Too bad because of my pregnancy I was unable to get my wisdom teeth pulled but the doctor was so supportive and gave me something for the pain and infection! The Summerlin office is beautiful! That's IT...1 STAR!! The fact that these folks think that they can treat people like they're not worthy of common decency and respect, is just unspeakable to me. I don't know IF because both Drs Glyman and Swanson are both graduates of Harvard or what, but I'm thinking that their staff thinks that THEY TOO are Ivy League Graduates!!?!? Their office staff are THEE MOST Rudest, Disrespectful, snarky, smartazz, unprofessional office personnel ...I've EVER encountered in my entire life! They'd be MUCH better working as Prison Guards!!! I swear to God...I'm So serious. Now, if you're waiting for ANY return Call backs...FORGETTABOUTIT!! When your calls go to the voice mail, and you get thru ALL the prompts...and then they promise you, they'll return YOUR CALL, (which is a lie!) WITHIN 24-48 BUSINESS hours...DO THE MATH!! Because (in business hours) that'll take you into 3 to 6 days....but even then THEY STILL WILL NOT return your call!! I won't even goINTO MY office visit, I wanted to PUNCH that Broad in the throat she pissed me off so bad....and I'm NOT a violent woman. The Doctor did a great job, BUT the staff made sure I was the last patient! I was there in the hospital for 4 hours before the doctor even started. I wrote THIS review ONLY AFTER my procedure was done and over. I also will be contacting my insurance company, to let them know how unpleasant, unprofessional and suspiciously handled my medical/dental records. No I will NOT BE BACK, NOR will I recommend ANYONE...to THIS Oral Surgeons office!! The two Doctors need to WAKE UP, and see the $$$ going out the door!!! I am EXTREMELY pleased with the entire experience I had with Dr. Swanson and his staff. After several months of being in various types of pain and seeing a dentist, urgent care twice and an ENT, I was finally referred to Dr. Swanson who immediately identified the problem. In spite of having full x-rays twice in four months, my dentist failed to identify the fact that I had a tooth with a large filling that needed replacing, which in turn caused decay and eventually an infection inside the jaw bone. I showed up at Dr. Swanson's office scared out of my wits (I also have a bleeding disorder which can complicate things like surgery) but his team quickly calmed my nerves. They explained what was needed each step of the way in terms of paperwork, all costs associated as well as recovery time, etc. The surgery date was set for a week later and I am still in shock over how quickly and easily the entire procedure went. Now, at 24 hours after surgery, I have had absolutely no pain whatsoever and very minimal swelling. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Swanson and his expertise as well as the excellent attention and care I received from his staff. The office is beautiful ! I love the esthetics when you walk in. However, the receptionist with dark hair and highlights was beyond rude . I was there with my husband to start a treatment plan for him . When I explained why we were there all she would do Is gawk at my husband and ignore me. She claimed she didn't have his xrays and I called our dentist office which in fact sent them last month, she just didn't feel like looking . When she did find them she didn't apologize for being rude and insisting she had no imaging. When we go back I hope we don't see her again for her unprofessionalism and rude attitude. On the other hand , Dr. Swanson is a doll ! He assured us that everything would be fine and we can't wait for my husband to get his treatment done there! Dr. Swanson Is very professional, funny, and very friendly. Also, he is very confident about his work that it doesn't make you feel the normal dentist nervous feeling! Only thing I was upset about is it took almost a Month and a Half to get a hold of the Medicaid Coordinator. Keep in mind, she schedules all your visits. Worse thing is when calling they would keep transferring you to her Voicemail which she does not answer. I just wanted answers as anyone would. Other then that Swanson is AWESOME! I got my wisdom teeth removed and days after my surgery I was still in extreme pain with lots of swelling . I was prescribed ibuprofen 800. I had to take one whole pill and a half just to ease the pain. I called in to tell them and the first thing they said (very rudely) was that they don't prescribe narcotics . I never asked for any. I simply stated to them that I was still in extreme pain and that I may need something different because the ibuprofen was just easing the pain and I was taking a higher dose than what was prescribed. 2 weeks later I was still in pain . It takes them days to call you back after a message is left . Even after I stated I didn't think I was healing properly, it still took several days to schedule me to come in . I've had a bad tooth for a year. Recently I had the worst toothache ever! Then it abcessed for 3 weeks. I finally had it removed today. It took Dr Swanson less than 3 minutes to extract it and no pain at all. I am happy and ready to heal! I want to come back to Dr. Swanson for 2 implants. This review is for Dr. Glyman, there is no separate listing for the actual business or Dr. Glyman for this location. My orthodontist referred me to Dr. Glyman for an extraction of 4 teeth. They were not wisdom teeth, they were extra teeth, extraction was a last resort but alas, they had to come out since my mouth is too small. I scheduled my consultation appointment with Dr. Glyman last month for 7:30 a.m., the downside of this location, they don't give you a courtesy call to remind you about your appointment, so I got there late, I waited an hour to be seen. You can save time by filling out all the forms online, that way when you get to the office, they'll only need your signature on the paperwork. The receptionist is not very friendly, she doesn't greet you when you walk in. The assistants on the other hand, total opposite, they're always very friendly. Dr. Glyman himself is quick but friendly, courteous, and polite, he assured me that it would be an easy procedure and that I had nothing to worry about. His assistant let me know that they'd give me a call in two weeks to schedule my appointment, they had to get authorization from my insurance first. Sure enough, I got that call two weeks later and scheduled the appointment. I was extremely nervous the day of my oral surgery, I had to be put to sleep. For the oral surgery, I had to go to the Flamingo location since the appointments for the Summerlin location were already taken. The receptionists at the Flamingo location are very friendly and they give you a courtesy call the day before your appointment, Summerlin office, take note. I was called back within 10 minutes of arriving for my appointment, they made sure I hadn't eaten anything for 8 hours, checked my vitals, Dr. Glyman came in to make sure I was ready, they stuck an IV in my arm, turned on the anesthesia and next thing I know, I woke up in a wheelchair toothless. The procedure felt like it took a minute but it actually took an hour. I felt drowsy the entire day, so I slept and didn't wake up till later on in the night. Dr. Glyman's assistant did give me a call in the afternoon to make sure I was doing fine, that was nice of her. When I woke up, I had no pain whatsoever so I didn't touch any of the painkillers that Dr. Glyman prescribed, I only took the antibiotic. I had my follow up appointment at 8:00 a.m. today, Dr. Glyman said everything looked great so I could stop taking the antibiotic, I left his office at 8:06 a.m, so I suggest you set an early appointment if you want to get in and out quick. I'm really happy with the office and the painless procedure. I will have to come back to see him again after my orthodontic treatment since I have an impacted wisdom tooth, but I have no hesitation in coming back. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Swanson for years, and he is really THE NICEST person/doctor! He makes you feel very comfortable, like he's known you forever. He is genuinely concerned about your care. The wait time is long to get in once you've signed in. I have almost left twice because of that because I don't understand why doctors offices double and triple book appointment times. My time is valuable to me, too, and I don't think I should have to wait 45 minutes in the waiting room after I've signed in. Anyhow, the office is clean, and that is a nice aspect. I highly recommend requesting Dr. Swanson to anyone who needs a maxillofacial surgeon or TMJ specialist. read more

When I first came to Dr.Swanson, it was to get my wisdom teeth extracted. As an eighteen year-old about to undergo my first surgery, I was, of course frightened about the whole procedure. No sooner had I voiced my concerns to Dr.Swanson and his excellent team of health care providers, before they immediately started to make me feel comfortable and reassure me about the safety off the procedure. They sympathized with me, and showed that they truly did care about they way that I felt about the whole thing. The problem with heath care providers these days is that most do not seem to actually care about how you feel, choosing to view their work as a business and the patient as a way to make money. Dr.Swanson is unlike those who might fit into that category. He has a deep respect and love for his patients and does what he can to make them feel comfortable and at home. His extended knowledge and experience with his career is reflected in his work, After leaving the office, there were no complications with the surgery and a quick recovery time. It was a wonderful experience to say the least. Now , it isn't just the wonderful work of the Dr. himself, but it is also the way the whole practice operates and represents itself. Once you walk into the doors, it is very easy to forget that you are in the office of an oral surgeon. The place is immaculate, and arranged in a way which is very comfortable and makes one feel at home. The receptionist is friendly and greeted me and my mother with a giant smile, and the dental assistants spoke to me in a manner which was respectful and makes one feel like they are conversing with an old friend. Without a doubt, I would go back there should I ever need anymore work done. If you are looking to have your wisdom teeth extracted or have any other facial surgery done in a clean, friendly and professional environment, then Dr.Swanson is the right Dr. for you. read more

My son had four impactd wisdom teeth removed here. Upon leaving I was told he couldn't have any painkillers because the was a "contract" involved. Poor kid is is such pain I can't describe and on no steroidal anti inflammatory drugs to try to control this pain. When I complains they gave him a different one that can't be mixed w motein so he just had to suffer. Why didn't they have him sign the contract? read more

This review pertains to Dr. Mark Glyman. I'm writing this review on behalf of my husband who was his patient. My husband was suffering from some botched root canals that were done by another dentist, and he was in dire need of some help. Dr. Glyman was able to quickly determine the problems and offered some affordable solutions to fix them. The results were amazing. Dr. Glyman's expertise in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery is second to none. His office was very clean and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and professional. We were both very impressed with the state of the art equipment in the office. The appointment was for 1:00 and my husband was seen in a timely manner. We would highly recommend Dr. Glyman to anyone, and especially someone who has a complicated case. He's the best! read more

Horrible. Came in cause my dentist referred me to get a wisdom teeth extraction. Swanson told me he would not remove them and told me my jaw hurts because I clench & is trying to charge me full price for a mouth guard not covered by my insurance when my referring dentist already confirmed the pain is caused by my impacted wisdom teeth. read more

First of all I'd like to say I went to see Dr. Swanson on April 10 with my CT scan and mri. He came into the room asking why I had gotten all of these results and he took one look at my jaw and stated there was nothing wrong that southwest medical is a family practice and they don't know what they are doing. That there was nothing wrong with me. He is and will be the worst Dr. I have ever met in my entire life. I will be having surgery next month to remove the small mass he apparently couldn't find. He is a terrible excuse for a Dr and how dare he say I have nothing that it was not obvious enough for him to see I do have a small mass on my right jaw. Yet he wanted me to come see his partner Dr. glyman I was not going to subject myself to careless treatment. Next time you should put more attention to what you are doing Dr. Swanson and reevaluate yourself and your supposed 25 years of practice. read more

Sorry this took so long. Everything went very well. There were a few hidden cost that I was never informed about. Insurance was suppose to cover everything but it apparently didn't. but all that aside, a very good experience considering the circumstances. read more
