However, her affect is somewhat deflated. She doesn't seem very interested in what I report and I feel like she usually makes small tweaks to my medication that haven't really helped. I once sent a somewhat important email to her office staff and asked they pass it along. I never received a response via email. Also, it seems a bit annoying that I have to re-sign consent forms every year, but perhaps there's a law on that I'm not familiar with. I believe since COVID, she only does zoom or phone appointments, rather than in person. I recently saw another psychiatrist that ordered gene sight testing to determine if my medication dosages are appropriate. I had no idea that was an option. Thus, it seems other practices are more advanced in their knowledge of how to treat mental health symptoms. TL, DR: If you're OK with the status quo of your mental health, Dr. Chawla might be able to help. If you're looking for improvement, I'd seek other options.

Additionally, the office staff is incredibly unprofessional, disorganized, and defensive. On multiple occasions I requested that Dr. Chawla call my teenager for appointments, instead of my phone number. And randomly, every few months, she would call my number. This resulted in missed appointments, which i would be charged $100 for. When I challenged the fee, Dr. Chawla and the office staff (most notably Arianna) never took responsibility for their error, let alone correct the error moving forward. The majority of her recent reviews are all rock-bottom 1-stars, and I'm not surprised.

Whenever you call with a question.. they don't get back to you until weeks later even if urgent. Also, there was a time I went in the office because I was severely upset and I begged them to have doctor chokshi call me at the end of her shift to tell me what to do until the following time I see her..I said this was an urgent matter and I need to speak with her. SHE NEVER CALLED until a week and a half later she made her receptionist call me (thank god I wasn't having suicidal thoughts or self harm thoughts because she never bothered to call or even check on me). THEN they told me doctor chokshi "needs to see you this week but she only has availability on Thursday when she's in Naperville" well.. I work. They weren't even willing to find a solution for when we both had time to meet. It was Thursday or no day. ALSO was suppose to have a sleep study done.. chokshi said they'd call me in a few days.. never happened. Went to the Hinsdale psychiatry office to alert them that I'm still waiting and they claimed to have contacted the sleep study lab and told them to call me asap.. well here I am 2 months later and I'm still waiting. Needless to say.. after dealing with this offices bullshit for 4 years.. I'm done. Found a new doctor and a new place to go!

I have been a patient at Stillpoint for well over 7 years. I've recommended them to many friends…read moreand family members throughout the years. Never had any issues. I received a voice message from Kim @ Stillpoint in June 2020 regarding 2 office visits in 2019 that were never paid by my insurance company. I was told that the insurance company needed to verify some information. I called my insurance company and was told that I needed to verify if I had other medical insurance. I told them that I didn't and gave them the dates Stillpoint said they weren't paid. I was advised by the insurance company that they would process the visits and send payment to Stillpoint. I called Kim back and left a voice message advising what I was told by the insurance company. I asked her to call me back if she needed any additional information. Fast forward to August 2020. I received a letter from my doctor stating he would have to drop me as a patient due to non payment. Now I didn't hear anything about these missing payments until I received the voice message from Kim on June 2020. I'm under the impression that I resolved the issue because I did not receive a callback or mailings regarding it. What it comes down to is that Stillpoint had contacted me, a loyal 7 plus years patient, once in June 2020 regarding payments not received for 2 dates in 2019. I did exactly what they asked and rectified the issue with my insurance company and left a voice message letting Kim know it had been resolved. Instead of contacting me if there was still an issue, they decide to drop me. This type of behavior I can do without. Not to mention, they're dealing with people who have mental health issues, who are trying to make it thru a pandemic which is causing extreme anxiety and depression and now I need to find another psychiatrist to manage my medications. I would not recommend Stillpoint to my worse enemy.

I have had nothing but good experiences with the staff, despite less than stellar insurance that caused all of us misery. I would highly recommend this practice.

My daughter seemed to like the shallow relationship with Dr Charlene Pierce. But after years and years of intensive sometimes as much as 3 times a week, there was not only no improvement but serious harm by exploiting a vulnerable patient. Her advice is I believe dangerous. Your child may enjoy chatting away or enjoy being touched by Dr Pierce. But I believe that this therapist is not well. She keeps her patients entertained and hypnotized.

We worked together for 5 plus years and I never got any positive results with medication management. I can't blame it all on her as I had several drug and alcohol relapses, but she is just awful. I think she gets her information on medications from the internet. I could almost be her doctor. She knows jack shit about psychiatry. She just wants your money. She watches the clock like I watch my sports teams. She is all about money, money, money. $350 for an hour appointment and $250 for a half hour. Absolutely outrageous. I met with her and my mom to go over several issues. We ran an hour and fifteen minutes and she had no quam's whatsoever about charging us $500.00. She will try and stretch out the appointment into an hour if she can. You have to watch the clock or she will nail you. They are terrible about refills unless you revisit as they want to rob you of more money. There are so many people who actually want to help people out there, don't let this lady near your medications or your mental health. She has done serious damage to me and I wouldn't want her evil high dose techniques to suck you in. She doesn't have any idea of how the medications work. No more then you could read on Wikipedia. QUACK QUACK QUACK. I would stay away from this place at all costs. I am sure the other doctors there are just as bad and they love money. They love the clock and they love money. Stay away at all costs.
