I just read a review with a similar experience so let me share mine so that everyone is warned not to join the Knoxville location of Title. I used to LOVE coming here but just as another reviewer stated "Its great if you intend to stay forever and never quit or freeze your account". Title is very expensive, and in order to travel this summer I put my account on hold. Allegedly it went on "un-hold" in July, however, I wasn't emailed, called, or texted to inform me of this. The entire month of July and the entire month of August passed without me knowing AT ALL that I was still part of this gym. On August 30th they charged me $220 claiming it was "for July and August". I politely and calmly went into their location and refuted the utter sneakiness and unfairness of charging someone for the month of July on August 30th. I explained that if I had known AT ALL that I was still a member I 100% would NOT have wasted my money and used my membership in July AND August. But no, having not stepped foot in the gym since March, I was charged $220 on August 30th so that I would HAVE to pay for September (they have a 30 day notice cancellation policy so I'm trapped and forced into September). Rather than help me, they laughed at me and then 24 hours after I went in asking for assistance, they charged me another $110 for September!! PLEASE DONT JOIN THIS GYM!!!!! Unless you have $350 lying around that you're happy to have stolen from your pocket in the matter of 1 week and enjoy the feeling of being stabbed in the back by people who know your name and face. They told me I'm SOL and that they will not help me or consider my situation. Horrendous way to run a business. I repeat, do NOT join this gym unless you are prepared to donate half a grand to them as charity.

I think big box gyms have their place everyone has different reasons for why they entertain fitness in their life and I think that each one of them offer something for a specific client. For me whether I'm in off-season or training to compete I want a rugged gym and I want the equipment to be well-maintained I want to hear loud music over the speakers and I want to smell sweat and bodies at work! I don't want to see a bunch of rules posted on the walls about what I can't do weights I can't drop bills that are going to ring if I bring my gym bag on my gallon water jug to the floor and most of all I don't want to get hit with a 36 month contract in a bunch a high-pressure sales people telling me about how great their gym is if it doesn't sell itself when I walk in the door then it's not the right gym. All of that to say absolutely fell in love with this local gym the minute I walked in the door and I will tell you that it's not for everyone it has a certain style a certain laid-back vibe no pressure sales for gym memberships it's $30 a month. The equipment is immaculate and there is some thing to train every part of your body I love the different quadrants at the gym where you can fully focus on machines free weights tire work chain work and sprinters. I finally found a gym home and no matter where you are in your fitness journey from bodybuilding down to getting in the best shape starting exactly where you are I would highly recommend this gym. Maybe I can reopen my meal prep business here looks like there might be a need for Coaching In The Kitchen again

Unfortunately, when I arrived, there was a sign on the door stating they don't have any day passes. You can JOIN the gym, but to do so they need payment for your first and last month upfront, as well as your bank information for future payments. If I lived anywhere near here, I would have no problem doing that. But I am in the middle of a cross country trip with my dog, and will only be here till the end of my workout. To make matters worse, I hired someone to watch my dog while I worked out, so I wouldn't get in trouble for leaving her in my car. Now I have to find somewhere else to workout before they call to let me know it's time to pick up my dog. A simple statement on their website would have helped save me a ton of heartache before making my way to this gym, only to be turned away....

From my perspective the emotional intelligence piece of the practice is missing from this facility. There are plenty of good reviews which make sense as freebies are given for the positive remarks. I also think there are plenty of individuals who have positive experiences so long as you offer the owner and facility attention and praise regularly.
