Epic shine is a great touches system. I have noticed lately the vacuums haven't been all working. I asked an employee on more than one occasion for help with the vacuums , and they told me to just move my car! I like that it's close to home, but it's not worth the cost if things don't work. The staff is always friendly and always keeping the car wash clean and towels stocked. BUT THEY just sent an email they are raising the monthly cost for what?? The vacuums aren't working, they are not giving us anything more, so what is the cost for??? Pros: Monthly subscription is great if you go more than 4 times a month, vacuums, always clean towels. The cons: I wish they did a better job at bug removal, and supplied windex bottles, air fresheners for the Hefty price per month I am paying. read more

This, I promise will be short lol. I mean how much can one say about a drive thru car wash? Actually, I'm sure I could probably write a 10 page paper on it, BUT I won't here haha! So this place is new-ish and is located by the house, so we use it frequently. That's until the other night when we went and the normally $11 wash is now $14. Is it something to be upset about? Of course! $3 bucks is a big jump and for a wash that's super basic. To top it off, the employees didn't get a raise with that raise in our costs. SHADY! Of course I'll be searching for another car wash. It's a shame they raised the price and by that much. Normally places will do a dollar here, dollar there. This place? They're like..:nah, f__k that! We think we are better than everyone so we are gonna raise it not $1, not $2, BUT $3! Asinine, IMO. The best part about this place is the employees. They're so unbelievably friendly, ALWAYS smiling and super accommodating especially for just a drive thru wash. If you plan to go and spend $14 on a wash, you'll see how great the employees are. Which is why it's a shame that none of them saw an increase in their pay when the company decided to start charging the customers more. Poor kids. Someone is banking on those increases and it's not the employees who actually deserve more than what they get because of how incredibly nice they are. The owners of this place should be ashamed. I'm sure they use the excuse "cOVid rEaLlY huRT uS!" Yawwwwn! Anyway, that's it! This place was decent but now...it's not really worth it. I still wish they had a separate star system on here for the actual business vs the employees. The employees deserve 5 stars. I gave this place 2 to be nice to them. We had paid for our membership through June 3rd, wife went today and manager, short little grey haired guy, said we need your CC on file. Wife said next time I come in we can do that I am paid through June 3rd. He said fine we dont need you then and tool the sticker off of her truck!! Not easy to find full service car washes in Boise. I don't think they exist. This is what you get instead, drive through car wash with self-serve vacuums and towels. They offer a great deal for $15 for the best that they offer, all the bells and whistles car wash. You can come back within 4 days for a rewash or give the receipt to someone else so they can get a car wash too within the four days. That comes out to $7.50 each. Yay! Hubby and I do this every two weeks and save. I'm happy to do the vacuuming and drying since it only takes a few minutes and you are on your way. I love they way my car is decently clean for a fair price. This location is tucked above the Home Depot near Freddie's Frozen Custard off State St. read more

Took my truck in for a wash, no after market parts, nothing out of the ordinary. I believe I got the standard wash whatever one came with the undercarriage spray. Got out to dry of the truck and noticed it didn't do a very good job specifically around my rear bumper. Came back through again and was offered the premium wash which I gladly accepted. Came back to dry off the truck again and noticed a noticed a large area of swirled scratches. Reported it to the attendant agreedwho took my name and number as well as a few pictures and gave me a card for his supervisor. Currently sitting at 11days and have reached out twice to get the issue resolved with no response. I will update the post if the issue is resolved. (Update) This incident happened 4/20/2023 I finally received a call about the damage 5/9/2023. Not a timely matter in my opinion... Then was informed that the disclaimer posted outside says that they refuse to cover any vehicle older then 2010. Then when I request a picture of this sign I was provided a picture that was impossible to read so I went back down and took my own picture. Nowhere on the property does it say anything about this restriction. Pretty disappointed in that regard. Additionally they denied any possibility of fault and said I declined to fill out a damage claim. Though the original attendant agreed that it looked to be caused by the wash and didn't know what to do so he gave me his managers business card took pictures and all of my info and said he would pass it on. read more

We are happy with this car wash and are glad to have this new location in Eagle! As with any mechanical car wash, it never gets all the books and crannies but they provide towels to finish off the job. The towels are clean, soft and absorbent. There are dual vacuums, one for each side of the car. Staff is friendly and wash prices are comparable. They have a monthly fee for unlimited car wash that's roughly 2-3 times the single wash price, depending on the wash package you select. We will be back! read more

I have been to Epic Shine prior to COVID and been very happy with the service and cleanliness of my car. However, I went through June 25th and got the $15.99 wash with rain guarentee. I had been traveling and had ALOT of bugs which had never been an issue before. My car went through the first time and came out with bugs. There wasn't an attendant to be found so I used my wash code to go through again. After a second wash, still had grill bugs. I vacuumed my car and was waiting to see an attendant. About 10 minutes later, I finally saw someone who worked there and let them know that they didn't have any clean towels to dry off my car. I had given up on getting the bugs off at this point. Waiting again, for 20 more minutes, and no clean towels ever came. I am thoroughly disappointed with what used to be a great value. Sorry Epic Shine no 5 star this roaptrip! read more

We were inn the area today and out car needed washed badly after a road trip to Salt Lake this weekend. The car wash got the car about 95% clean which is pretty impressive for a drive thru car wash and a car covered in bugs. This is a fantastic drive through car wash. Thanks Yelpers for recommending this location! We had just moved here recently so I haven't tried many others for comparison. The wash got the cars very clean (and smelled great driving through). Love all the vacuums and towels available. Great feature that they offer the second wash within four days on their 'Protect' wash. Makes it really easy to wash the first vehicle with all the bells and whistles and then get a second basic wash for another car. Now both cars are 'shining' in the garage :) read more

I am so glad I tried this place! The wash does a great job, and is so much kinder and gentler to my car than my previous place, which was akin to driving through a category 5 hurricane. The wash products they use are obviously high quality. I switched my monthly car wash subscription from Mister Hot Shine to Epic shine and I am so glad I did. For $30 I get unlimited premium washes, use of the vacuum, and use of the lovely lime-green polishing cloths. This review is actually about the membership process - we were just billed automatically the last 4 months an extra $25.00 per month since December 2021 in addition to the automatic payment for the one car we had listed on our membership. This is meant to educate others and watch your statements when they come in or this may happen to you. Someone drove into the Epic Shine car wash, gave them a name (similar to our last name) and added their vehicle to our membership. Yes, just that simple. Our credit card started getting billed. It took my spouse a bit of time to discover this discrepancy. When I called the manager for memberships, it was a bit difficult reaching her and a msg left did not get returned but I finally made contact. What I learned is that they do not require the ID or credit card to place a vehicle on membership and if a staff person gets the name wrong or the person asking for their car to be added is incorrect (on purpose or accidental), you may get billed for someone else's car washes. In this case, 4 months, and if we had not caught it, this would have been on-going. They do not do anything to make sure the deduction(s) are accurate, ours were taken out on 2 different days per month. The manager was polite, did not have a good response to how this could occur or how to make sure their company can make changes in policies to prevent it from happening to you. I suggested the original person be with the person with the additional car needing to be added along with the original form of payment for confirmation. I feel this was not met with serious consideration. She was mostly concerned to find out how this all happened. She offered one month free of car washes. Again, she was pleasant, said nothing rude, but did not really answer the real question to the actual problem. read more

I hardly had to wait before paying and then was quickly directed through the wash. Compared to most car washes in California, this one does a much more thorough job. This place started out as my favorite car wash. I'm a monthly subscriber. Unfortunately, it has slowly started to become like all the rest. In the beginning days they had energetic help, now the kids gather in a corner rarely willing to help. The guy that squirts a little water on your windshield appears to be one step before death! And what's up with that... sometimes they squirt, sometimes not. They sometimes prewet the driver side, but nothing ever on the passenger side!(?) Quite often things don't work inside the tunnel. It really pisses me off when the machine starts washing my vehicle and it's still dry!!!! The overhead sprayer works intermittently! When you mention it to they employees, they look at you like you're nuts! FYI- the price of a new pick up truck is near $70k these days! I don't care to have the dirt scrubbed into the paint. Yesterday, several nozzles were clogged. I left with soap all over my mirrors. (Not the first time!) A good car wash is hard to find, so sad. You guys were on to something at first! I have a monthly pass and use the Nampa wash at least once each week. I have found that I must towel dry or there will be water spots on the glass and chrome-finish trims. Now, after a couple of months of washes, I'm afraid the car wash may be damaging my car's finish. I started using Epic shortly after purchasing a new car, and there has been some noticeable scratching on the shiny trim (probably not noticeable on the paint). I have mentioned my concerns, and asked an Epic employee about the maintenance of filters, brushes, etc. that might impact the softness of the water and the condition of the brushes that touch the car's finish. I was told they "have someone that checks these things". Aside from this: I find most of the employees friendly and helpful; the (necessary) towels are always well-stocked; the vacuums seem well-maintained; and the Nampa location is much-needed. I hope Epic notices and remedies whatever may be causing the spots and scratching. read more
