I made the error of going there a few times, and the dude named Bruce completely messed up my dome. EVERY TIME! Yo, Homes, when I say a #3 Clipper, that's not code for a number #1. YOU SCALPED ME! He is very unfriendly and looks sort of like the grim reaper without his robe. What made this more interesting is the lady that was completely uninterested in her real job and pretended to be hosting a talk show. If I were a woman, I would rather go to Supercuts. I wasn't sure if this was a hair salon or a consignment shop. The atmosphere is extremely dingy. Strange things are for sale all over the place. Ellise tried to make me buy an Eric Cartman head (WTF!), I said I didn't need it, but she insisted that I take him home with me (I didn't). This place charges by the hour, but like I said before, the owner thinks she is a talk show host. She talks about her previous customers, her family (eye roll), I've heard about her diet 3 separate times (and the story never changes) and the shear hatred for her landlord. She also plays horrible loud music, which she shouts over. This place is a just barrel of sad. Please, take my advice and go to Supercuts. At least they don't try to sell you old 80's clothes.

Don't let it scare you away! Inside Lift it is a hidden gem of a place. Bo took my appointments over the phone and couldn't have been nicer. What a friendly, kind soul he is. He greeted me at the door and introduced me first to Tina, who gave me the best facial experience I've ever had. She also did my eyebrows and lip. She used hot rocks for the massage part-- it was AMAZING! And the bed was heated, which on a cold day like yesterday, just felt heavenly. She was so thorough with the facial and took her time to tell me what she was doing each step of the way. This was my first facial in 10 years-- but I'll be back. What a treat, and very reasonably priced! Then I moved over to Jennifer, who took so much time listening to what I wanted to do with my cut and color. I'm currently in the mid-stages of letting my natural color (gray/ white) grow in, and I explained this to Jennifer. She listened, really thought about what we needed to do to make it less awkward and obvious, and went on to work her magic with full platinum highlights. She then gave me a FABULOUS cut. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I had talked to her before the appointment because I had a special occasion coming up and wanted my cut freshened up. I left the salon with something I absolutely did not want and was so upset. I called to tell Judith how I felt and was met with a cold unconcerned response. I thought I would never go back, but this spring Lilia came back, and I booked as soon as I could. My appointment was scheduled, although pretty far ahead as she was busy. I even put a deposit to hold it. Today I realized that my appointment was scheduled for tomorrow and I had not heard anything from the salon. I called to confirm and found out that again Lilia is not working. This time nobody bothered to call and tell me that my appointment had been cancelled nor offer me any alternative. If you cancel with them less that 24 hours, they charge a sizeable fee but seem to not give the same courtesy to their clients. I do not recommend this place. The stylists are good, but the owner has a big chip on her shoulder and has some questionable business practices. I contemplated not writing this updated review but changed my mind after this most recent incident. Consumers should be aware. Very disappointed.
