The customer service from this place is pure garbage. Incompetent employees and when you make a payment online for the sake of sanity, good luck with them knowing where the payment is. Scammers. This company sends fake collection notices in the hopes unsuspecting people fall for their scam. I received a $1,200 collection notice for an ATT account. Guess what? I have never had any ATT services (no TV, no cable, no cell, nothing). They claim is an ATT cable account from 5 years ago. 1) I don't own a TV 2) ATT was not even in the area 5 years ago! If you don't pay they hurt your credit score. Talk about extortion! Google "EOS CCA" and you will find hundreds of complaints online. I received a notice of collections on 7-12-19 from EOS-CCA stating i owed $53.13 to Sirius XM Radio because i let my subscription run out without notifying XM Radio that i would not renew my subscription. EOS-CCA would not give me the phone number to XM Radio so i looked it up on line and called them. They stated i did not owe them anything and they had not turned this in for collection. Something is fishy here, if Sirius XM Radio did not turn this in, how did EOS-CCA Collections agency get my name, address the amount XM Radio wanted for 6 month of subscription? I have submitted a complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and with Sirius XM Radio. I will fight this a long as i live! John Muir, after never sending me a co-pay statement, sent a nominal amount to this "organization" for collections. This "place" never called me and just appeared on my credit report. My attempts to contact these "people" were met with infinite looping recordings. I'll be disputing this debt, seeing as it's impossible to pay and may not really exist. I'm writing this post again in tears dealing with this company. I checked my credit last year and found this account - since then my credit score has gone down 30 points. The bill is for a hospital visit - the hospital entered my social instead of my husband's. This should be a quick fix right - wrong - In January, my insurance company and myself did a three way conference call with EOS CCA - they explained to them how to correct this and have the bill paid. I was told it should take 3 to 4 weeks to clear. It's August and know no one has a record of my insurance calling. I wrote their corporate office in July, no response - can't get anyone from corporate on the phone. Like everyone else rating this business, I received a scary call from this company, telling me I owed over $1000, but they'd make me a deal where I'd pay $400 right now to clear it. Turns out the "debt" was to a cell phone provider, for a phone number I never had, in a state I've never lived. Could be an honest mistake, but if you google the company, there are a lot of people with my same experience. I understand that collection agencies are not very popular with people. That's understandable, they're calling to get your money on something you've neglected paying because you're either unable or unwilling to pay. That doesn't make people happy. But I've dealt with debt collectors before, often times they are professional and willing to work with you. Not EOS CCA. After receiving a wrongful debt claim (another story for another day), I talked to the woman on the phone who started to read from her manual on "why I owe the debt" and how it's "my responsibility" after I explained to her that I had called the company in question and it had supposedly been resolved. When I had to re-explain it to her and tell her that she was wrong, I got a supervisor who was somehow less helpful and more rude. Great combination. He even insinuated he would be calling my family members to collect a $52 debt, and when I explained my story to HIM he said, "well it's 'your opinion' that you don't owe this" and that "debt collection efforts will be continued until you pay" (paraphrasing here). Even for debt collectors, these guys are dirtbags. It's hard to say "avoid them" since as debt collectors, we would probably all like to avoid them all, but in my experience, they are the worst of the worst. read more

These guys have been sending me letters about owing a $492 debt to ATT. I currently have ALL my services, from TV, Internet and phone with ATT and my accounts are all current. If they weren't I wouldn't be able to have service. I called ATT just to verify the account numbers they has and see if this debt existed. And ATT could not find anything. It is a scam. I have reported them to the FTC and I suggest everyone else do the same to trigger an investigation. BBB can try to mediate if they owe you money, but won't have the power to prosecute. I went to tmobile and they suggested me other plans with automatic payment deduction from my acount , so I agree and they end up closing one account and reopening it . SCAM. They call me about every 2 or 3 months. Regarding a centurylink bill. I have asked them 3 times to please send me a copy of the bill and account number so that I may clear it up with centurylink. (i dont owe them a dime). I have never received any mail from them regarding the collections. The debt they say I owe is nearly 7 years old. I just started getting calls from them around 8 months ago. There is nothing on my credit reports regarding the debt either. I believe this company recycles very old debts, trying to get you to pay them by scaring you with bad credit. This company has HORRIBLE customer service. On May 15th, I made a payment to clear up an item on my credit report. Today, I called to obtain a copy of the paid in full letter and was treated very poorly. I was transferred three times, and the 2nd to last rep was very argumentative and "catty." After speaking to a manager, I got an apology, but all in all, nothing will be done. All of sudden the eos keeps sending me letters if I owe Verizon for $227.46 then my husband called them up for the settlement as much as $113.73. Last year I paid off an account with EOS CCA as part of a HELOC. However I did not know that there were two accounts. I was never notified of the second account by mail, it never showed on my credit, and when I paid off the first account I asked straightforward "is there anything else that I owe you?" and received a "Nope" response. I received one call (caller ID blocked) that I was unable to complete and unable to return (caller ID blocked). Then three weeks ago I got served. Turns out the collections department turned the account (that seemingly didn't exist) to legal and they were taking me to court. I talked with both Lisa and Becky over the phone. They admitted their mistakes at many points in the process - not notifying, not appending to my credit, not calling, not doing a single thing until filing suit. Well I did what any self-respecting person would do - I put in two 70+ hour workweeks to cover it to pay. When I called to pay, I asked if there's anything they'd be willing to do to make up for their egregious errors. Even still I don't feel I should've paid the court fees - they're the ones who screwed up at every juncture - but I did regardless. Becky was quite irritated and got immediately defensive when I brought up the prospect to the point of talking over me and raising her voice. She swore they did nothing incorrect even though she and her direct report both admitted to failures in previous calls. Her attitude, despite my best attempts, did bring out some anger in me. Anger breeds anger and yes near the end of the call I did let my opinion of their shortcomings and process failures be known. What's done is done. I paid and then paid some more. At the end I told her that if it shows up on my credit they'd be hearing from me again. She said "well it's already there"; I returned with "well it's not and *that's the problem*. They said I was in collection, btw, I have great credit. They wanted my social security number to verify my birthdate. They should be reported to the Attorney General. I have been contacted by these people because I have a student loan that I was in deferment due to a job loss. That expired and my loan ended up in default. I wanted to make it right and it seemed legit at first but then I looked at the collection notice. I have a 0% APR government subsidized loan and they not only added 12% interest, they also added a $3000 fee!! The guy wanted my credit card over the phone and said that he could get me started on a payment plan. I told him I was uncomfortable with that and I would look up his company. None of the information he gave me matched and I was told by my original student loan company that they only gave my loan to Direct Loans, a company that specializes in student loans and there should NOT be a fee. SCAM! I was reviewing my credit report and noticed a collection for $73 from EOS CCA for an unpaid CenturyLink bill. I immediately called them and retrieved my account number. I called CenturyLink to see what this was about because I have never been a CenturyLink customer. After searching by the account number, my name/DOB/SSN etc., CenturyLink verified that not only was the account number given to me by EOS had NEVER been an account number with them but also that I had never had an account with them. Furthermore, CenturyLink does not turn their collection accounts over to EOS CCA. I called EOS back and spoke to "Victor" who claimed he was a manager and was a complete asshole. He refused to verify the identity associated with the account and refused to give me his employee ID number. He said that they would "sue my ass off" if I refused to pay this collection. I explained that this account was complete BS. I disputed this account with all 3 bureaus and it was quickly removed from my credit report. Complete scammers and frauds. This is called "shotgun collections", done in the hopes they find who they are looking for or, most likely, scare someone else into paying it. The first person hung up when I tried to get her to ID where she was calling from. I called back, after 10 min. of firmly explaining the law, finally got a supervisor on who also got a lesson. First he asks me questions about who I am, what number I am calling from... then, while I am trying to answer, he finds the info and asks me "not to interrupt" and that he "is trying to help me." Bizarre, as I was just trying to answer the question he posed to me. Then, when I explain this number goes to a minor, he says he can remove the number -- and the line goes dead. These asshats are trying to collect a bill from a hospital stay from THREE YEARS AGO! 1)-They originally said it was from my doc, whom I promptly called and told him off, because I always pay my bills as they occur. He told me I didn't owe him anything, and had no balance. I called these jerks back, and they have clusterf**ked around and 2)- now state it was the provider, whom ALSO says that they have no balance for me. This visit was 2 months before the new company took over billing, (in 4/2013) so the hospital is now doing a back-search via the previous billing outfit to secure copies of my account. That should happen today. Blue Cross managers have been conference calling with me every step of the way, and should the truth be that no money is owed I will be in court with these underhanded scuzwads ASAP. Don't even talk to them if you know you are in the clear. They told me to 'get receipts faxed from the doctors office, and fax them to us, and we will close this case!" Bullshit! When I called AT&T, they said that neither my name nor my social was affiliated with the phone number. Please report these dirtbags to the BBB and take legal action against them.
