Made an appointment here for a quick gel polish change before my son's karate class next door. I say with the gentleman, whose name I forgot to get before I left. He was very nice while chatting with me about the holidays and kids. He also educated me on the new powder polish option. It was appreciated that he took the time to talk TO me rather than to coworkers around me. He took his time and did a good job. While I still prefer my Portland salon, this place works as a back up for when I can't make the trip to Portland, especially since the location is convenient since it's next door to the karate gym to which I take my kid twice a week. read more

By far the worst pedicure I have ever gotten! My nails are so short now and are almost square, the man must have been new because he had no clue what he was doing. Once he started polishing it was so blotchy because he was shaking so bad I had to tell him to stop and get someone else to finish. The polish was dark blue and dyed my toes trying to take it all off. The actual pedicure lasted all of 20 minutes including massage. Nothing like a massage with no lotion either. I just love the feel of rubber gloves burning my skin. And to top it all off they acted like it wasn't a big deal while talking crap. The shop manager was telling me to get my nails done there too and when I told him I go somewhere else he told me the quality of may nails were bad. Mind you I am in the industry and know good from bad. Very poor customer service by far! After all was done they sure wanted their money and when I asked for change back the lady (who wasn't even the one doing my nails) grunted at me because I didn't include the tip as well. I have been looking for a replacement nail salon while I'm living in Salem, and I think I found it! Salon is clean and bright, well decorated and welcoming. The techs are sweet and polite, and very good at what they do. I left with pretty toes, relaxed legs and feet, and a cow to return when I need to get my shellac redone! read more

Let me tell you this was the worst experience I've ever had. The lady was rude over the phone when I scheduled the appointment, she got acrylic all over my skin and left it there! She did a terrible paint job to the point where I had to redo it myself. She rushed my nails cause she had other people to work on and the entire experience was just terrible. HORRIBLE. Me and my husband walked in and requested a full set and a regular old manicure at 2:12pm. The sign out front said they closed at 4. We walked in and they said that they were closing early and no more customers and then I noticed a nail tech eating something stinky and 2 other people in there getting nails done. Only for them to tell us they were closing early and couldn't take anymore customers!!! REALLY!!??. Not even for a regular old 15min manicure. Horrible service. I will NEVER go back. Ever. I almost didn't go because of their phone etiquette when I called to see what their wait time was. But since I live about 5 minutes away from this location, I ended going to get a manicure. When I got there I was quickly sat at a table to start my manicure. They were nice and of course they did the typical chatting amongst themselves in their language. I had visited for a pedicure &was told 2 come back at a time the shopkeeper dictated. When I returned 4 hours later I was admonished for being 5 minutes late. Then I was left waiting in a chair with no foot-bath. Ok. I'm trying to be chill -I like the place, it seems clean -it's not too busy, it's just a pedicure. The shop lady keeps grousing. Finally she makes it seem like she is doing me a favor & begins a pedicure: running water while barking orders at other people in the shop and complaining about the polish I choose: from a selection she had told me to pick from upon entry. (what?) -I'm rolling in happy so I say okay you pick the one you like best. Then she hands me a menu and asks what I like? This is the third time she's asked me that &I'm here for a pedicure. The menu bumps up the $25 pedicure to over 50 bucks depending on extras. I'm a 1st time guest so, no extras I'm just looking for a really good pedicure. But alas because I did not spend more on the menu I was given a slap dash -then hand out for payment and out the door. It left my feet feeling gritty, the polish was not really clean edged or smooth. She did not trim cuticles or put out any effort after I did not ante-up for more services. Envy -no, it was below mediocre. The best I can say is the place was clean. I won't be back. read more

The first time I went in the gentleman who did my pedicure was fabulous. I thought, great, I've found my new salon -- having just made the move to West Salem. The second time was really below average. I agree with one of the other reviews. They need to step up their customer service. The entire time I was there, the only conversation with me was... 'pick your color' and do you want a regular or a supreme. I know English is their second language, but it was non-stop chatter that didn't make it easy to relax. read more

This place was your run of the mill nail place. My toes chipped after two days however. Note to out of town people: Oregon requires you bring your own nail file and scrubber. Something I didn't know when I arrived and had to purchase an over priced set. Bummer. read more

Have utilized their services for some time and have now grown to expect Inconsistent quality regardless of who is doing the work. This last and final time for me, my toe nail was peeled/torn. They tried to pretend nothing happened and super glued it, literally acting like If was my fault the ripped my nail. They did a poor job on my friends sns nails who was with me; their resolve...They took her polish off and then said they didn't have time to complete. She left with bare nails that were ready to break off. Overall they are rude, talk and laugh amongst themselves, business practices are sketchy with the inconsistent pricing. I stopped in to get my nails polished with shellac, and nothing else. I have a normal place that I go to all the time, but tried this place out because I was in a different city. When I walked in they said it would be a 10 minute wait but I ended up waiting for 40. I understand however that sometimes it can get a little busy. I was very patient and friendly the whole time. As the lady was doing my nails, she kept telling me that I have horrible nails and I need to take better care of them. Even though my normal place tells me I have great nails. She was very rude and rushed through everything. I picked out a color and as she started to paint she told me it was not flattering on me and I needed to pick a different color.... so I did and she continued painting. My nails turned out streaky and have bumps in them as well as little bubbles and even one of her fingerprints... I asked her if she could fix them a little and she told me it's just how my nails were and there's nothing she could do. Even though my nails have always looked amazing. As I was leaving I paid with cash, as they asked and I asked for my change back. She gave me a terrible attitude and then asked me "are you going to tip me?." I will never go back. read more

My daughter recommended this place to me for a pedicure. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. When working on my toes the drill clipped the skin under my little toe and of course it bled. I went in with my friend yesterday for two pedicures. We picked out our color and sat down for our feet to soak. Five to ten minutes into the pedicure, the lady stops and points to my tennis shoes and asks if I have sandals. My friend and I say no and ask if they have they thin foam ones EVERY OTHER nail salon in America carries. She says no and proceed to stop our pedicures and says she can't paint our toes because nail polish takes two hours to dry but tells us she can do shellac instead. We say yes and weren't told it costs extra. She finishes the pedicures and I go to pay and it was NINETY DOLLARS! FOR TWO PEDICURES! Awful business plot; don't offer foam pedicure sandals and tell client half way through pedicure that they will have to do shellac. Never going back. read more

Best relaxing salon in West Salem. I've been having pedi and fills almost since they opened. The salon is quiet, techs know what I like and I've never been disappointed. I have been going into Envy Nails for about a year or more. I always went in afternoons, no one ever asked me for an appointment time and there was enough pedicure chairs for eight of us. (I have had four strokes, I am diabetic, and the women don't speak English well, but everyone managed to understand each other.) The manager (owner?) is a male and there is another technician who is male. This time I went in early and the first thing I'm asked is if I have an appointment. No. I wasn't ever asked before and then they pointed out they had fewer staff then at the later time . OK. They said come back in 45 minutes. The man comes up to me and said he had heard I was diabetic and he wasn't going to work on my cuticles. I said ok. I was wearing sneakers and for the FIRST TIME in my life he says the nail paint won't dry enough for me to not mess up the paint when I put my socks on. In over 20 years of having regular pedicures this has never happened. He started and one of the first things he did was cut a part of my big toe along the nail bed. He was telling me I needed to come in sooner because my nails were too long. I explained to him I had been totaled early in the month and this was the best I could do. Then I had to buy another nail kit and I explained that was in the glove compartment which is the totaled car so I had to buy another one - $5. It was time to rub my legs, it was obvious it was too rough. By this time, he is being friendly to other customers, so I said once again my car had been totaled to see if he would be nice. Nope. It's finally done, he helped me put my socks on, I got my own shoes on and I went to pay the bill. He charged me an appropriately adjusted rate for a pedicure that didn't include nail painting, and I walked out, and then leaned back in the shop and told him, I won't be back. He said fine, and obviously didn't care. Over the years I have had pedicures in Reno, Vegas, Portland, Newberg, and Salem. I was told it might be because he couldn't charge me for a full pedicure and didn't want to waste time on me. It had been enjoyable for the last year when the ladies did my pedicures.
