NO NO NO!! €298 just to show up at 18:30 on a Thursday night. The person arrived promptly and immediately told me he could do nothing for me because the lock was " too secure ". He informed me that he would have to completely remove the entire lock! Luckily my guardian arrived with a copy of my key.
So, as I was happily saying goodbye to the locksmith and expected to pay perhaps €50 or €75 for his trip (again, he did absolutely nothing)... they tried to charge me €280!!!!!!
WHAT??? They informed me that the base charge was €180 and an extra €100 for working after 19:00. The problem was that they DIDN'T work after 19:00. So I argued and they agreed to " kindly " only charge me €180! So very kind.
At the time of the original call, I told them all I had was a credit card and they assured me it was NO PROBLEM. In fact, they decided it WAS a problem. They couldn't take the card. Check? I offered a check, but they refused because the check total (€198 for doing NOTHING) was below their threshold of €200 needed to receive a check! WTF??? I tried to just write the check for €200, and they refused!
Ultimately, I wasted another 30 minutes going to get cash from a bank machine! Shady behavior. HORRIBLE service, completely untrustworthy. Unprofessional. AVOID! read more
