Had my car written off in an accident, insurance company hired a courtesy car from Yeovil office. Kate came to pick me up to take me to the hire premises and was so cheerful and full of life she immediately lifted me from the doom and gloom of the whole experience and made me smile. She explained all about the service and was positive about the company and gave me confidence as I'd never hired before! She took me around the hire vehicle and made sure I was comfortable with it. Anna in the office helped alot too and explained the procedure going forward and situation of continuing to hire until I had a new car sorted out. While the prices can be a real bargain - right now they're running a promotion where you can rent a car over the weekend for only 12 pound a day - the service can be a little problematic. Their online booking system does not seem well coordinated with their actual availability - we had our booking confirmed online and showed up at their office only to find out that the last car in its category was being serviced, and no offer of a solution was made by the employees of the company. Normally you would expect to be offered a higher category car for no extra charge, while they insisted they would charge for an upgrade. Attempts to resolve the issue over the phone ended up with the staff hanging up the phone, which I believe is unacceptable. The cars are in a good condition, despite absolutely minimal specs.
